This large 104 acre park is home to a multitude of recreational activities including baseball, basketball, soccer fields, disc golf, tennis courts, playground equipment, a community pool, and 1.4 miles of paved trails! The park is also home to a community center built in Spanish mission style that held community events pre-covid. The newest function of Mason Park is to protect against pollution and flooding via a stormwater retention pond. Starting in 2006, the banks of Brays Bayou were widened within Mason Park to reduce the threat of flooding and an additional 3.5 acres of wetland were created. These series of ponds clear pollutants from drain-off water and serve as a home for plant and animal life. We saw plenty of ducks and turtles here when we were visiting! To get to the stormwater retention pond, cross the bridge and walk along the path. The bridge also serves as a good photo op!

If you dont play very often or just want a casual non competitive pick up game, then this is probably not the spot for you. They play hard @ Fonde. You'd think that pro contracts and cash was on the line here. The facility isnt that big and is randomly busy. Its hard to pick a good time to go if you want to actually play. you may end up waiting for a while if you go at the wrong time. By a while, i mean an hour, maybe longer. If you go at the right time on the right day, you can stay on the floor until the place shuts down. Its just kinda random which situation youre going to get. Good location: Seconds from downtown. Parking is usually easy to find. Great surroundings. If you dont want to play basketball then there are other things that you can do whether its something dealing with fitness or not.

This poor community center is one of the older ones in the city of Houston. It smells old and…read moremolded and is in need of a renovation badly. The staff however is friendly caring and know their people. My kids prefer to play here for baseball season because of the coach. Peacocks roam freely around the neighborhood so drive slow. It's really is quite peaceful and a sight to see.

Platinum Pools has exceeded all our expectations!…read more Nick was the absolute best!! He stuck with us for over a year while we worked out all the obstacles with our HOA and other issues. Every hurdle we came across Nick was there to walk us through it. Nick listened to us on how we needed the pool design to be and gave us exactly what we were looking for. When changes were needed or required he was quick to take care of it and get it back to us. Anthony and his crew then jumped in and got our pool build completed in record time. We couldn't more pleased!

Everything changed when we talked to Harrison the designer for the Platinum Pools. He is very knowledgeable, people person, and responds very quickly. We had a design of our pool a few hours after our first design consultation with him. We couldn't believe it. That's when we decided Platinum would build our pool. He took care of permitting for us. and sent us multiple designs because we added to our original design a few times. He is very responsive and never got tired of our questions. Then after we signed the contract, Anthony was assigned as our project manager. He as well is very knowledgeable, kind and never gets tired of our calls and questions. He has every contractor on time, keeping the job site clean, always double checking their work and always like I said answering our questions and keeping us on the loop every step of the way. In the conclusion we loved working with Platinum Pools. Harrison, Anthony and the rest of their team were simply great to work with and an extra perk they finished way before schedule even though we had a lot of rain days.
