We expanded our search and came across Maple Shade Bed and Breakfast, and what a lucky find. It was a little over an hour from Manchester, where we spent the day, but well worth the drive. This B & B is set on 85 acres of rolling farm land as far as the eye can see. We pulled in and was greeted by the owner Joanne. She was very welcoming and showed us our room, the Ivory Room on the first floor. We found out she had a last minute cancellation and we were very lucky to get the room. The room has a king bed, very cute and comfortable and plenty of room to unpack. She showed us around and explained that breakfast is between 8:30-9:30 each morning, come whenever you wish. After we settled in we took a walk to the Adirondack chairs overlooking the cornfield and enjoyed a sunset with a bottle of wine we had brought. We slept well and breakfast the next morning was delicious...freshly baked muffins, fresh fruit and made to order omelette and the following day was delicious French toast. Their hospitality is just delightful and we hope to return in the future!

Iron, fridge, freezer, television, comfy bed and sheets, a great big window with a nice view, you name it. Fresh coffee available 24/7 (I made good use of this, believe me). The breakfast was fantastic, I never thought I'd be pouring my own waffle batter for freshly made waffles for a hotel breakfast. Plus a load of other breakfast options, I wasn't even able to try them all. I don't know what else I'd need in a hotel. This place has it all. Tons of parking, clean facilities, friendly and helpful staff. I'll be here again.

This particular Home2 Suites has quickly become our fav place to stay when in the area. They are dog friendly, the suites are typically extremely clean and well kept, and the staff on any day, no matter the time, have always been friendly and helpful. There is a small indoor pool which we have used a few times. It is heated but not overly. The pool area is always extremely clean. They also have outdoor seating, a fire pit, and a grill for guests use. The beds tend to be comfortable- not marshmallow soft and not concrete hard. Just right! They supply a large selection of pillows, the bedding and towels are always clean and in good order. The free breakfast always includes something each of us can/want to eat. During this particular stay someone took the complementary disposable laundry bag, put trash in it, and popped it into a kitchen drawer with the suite's mugs. They also left behind a used plastic razor. Ugh. I'm not sure how the cleaning crew missed this. I called the front desk. The staff member was extremely apologetic and kind. She offered us free snacks as a service recovery. We never did collect our free snack but the gesture was appreciated. In the future I prefer points be applied to my Hilton Honors account. Snacks aren't always the answer to service recovery.

The hotel went under a major transformation. The hotel provides residences on one part, along with a spa, hair salon, recreation area, gym and onsite casual & high end steak house on-site. I have stayed in the older remodeled and the newer contemporary side of the hotel. Both are equally nice, yet the vibe is completely different. Old world charm in the middle of the action, or sleek and chic and off the beaten path... The service is that of a 5 star hotel. Housekeeping in the late morning-afternoon and evening turndown service everyday. They also bring you a treat of local chocolates and two bottles of water with each visit. The hotel is vibrant and full of energy due to the restaurant bar located in the lobby/front of the hotel. Exceptional stay and the staff is just as amazing!

They even had free cookies! The room was modern and clean. The set up left little space to walk between one side of the bed and a piece of furniture in order to get to the bathroom. Unfortunately, even though I recognized that it would be a challenge to navigate, I still bashed my shin on the way back to bed from the bathroom in the morning. Also, the bed was not as comfortable one would hope and I woke with many aches and pains. The good news is they had a great pool and hot tub! We used them both at night and in the morning. Very few people were using them and we often had them to ourselves. That helped with both body aches and relaxation! In the morning the breakfast was excellent. They offered a wide variety of food and the attendant was making sure things were filled and tables cleaned. Overall a good experience. I would stay here again.

I also loved the warm cookies they had out every afternoon! Our room was clean and spacious, and we especially loved that the fridge had a true freezer. The only thing I didn't love was the lack of variety and quality of the breakfast. This isn't a reflection of the breakfast team, I think it's moreso a decision to save money, which is surprising considering my 3-night stay cost $800! For example: all three days it was the same thing and the quality of items were just ok not great. Everyday the clementines were bruised and questionable. The waffle maker had butter and fake maple syrup out, whereas other hotels would have whipped cream, sprinkles, and a variety of toppings. Everyday there were dry scrambled eggs and sausage links, whereas other hotels would have a cheese on egg option, another meat, and breakfast potatoes as well. However the breakfast team did a great job keeping the counter space and table spaces clean, and refilling coffee and food. Overall, I might stay here again because of the convenient location, friendly staff, and clean rooms, but wouldn't plan on getting a great breakfast here.
