This is the Fairfield that made me a fan of the chain…read more I travel a lot and prefer to stay in the more boujie Marriott properties. However, that is not always possible, especially when traveling to smaller towns. In West Monroe, your options are limited to this level of hotel from all of the big chains. With that in mind, I encourage you to consider this Fairfield. Because of this hotel, I have chosen Fairfields across the country. I find that they are either great like this location or terrible. I would like more consistency across the brand so maybe those owners should travel here and see how they do it. The hotel is clean, has plenty of parking, friendly staff, and comfortable rooms. I always find a good parking spot and the hotel is a quick drive from or onto the interstate. Despite being close to the highway, I rarely hear road noise. Even when it has been full, I also didn't hear other guests. If you need a stay for a night or two in West Monroe, check out this Fairfield.

We missed the grand opening of the pool by "that much!!" Like a couple of days. The rooms; very average-step-up-above-decent. Looks like all the rooms are wheelchair accessable. The beds were slightly better than average. The complimentary breakfast ran 7 days a week 6am-9am, sometimes a little longer if peeps are still eating. Basic food but streamlined in cool displays. What I didn't like: the small elevator, compared to other hotels. Also, the bathrooms didn't have the switch for "venting the stinky smells or so you can't hear what I'm doing in here." Overall, I like this hotel. Stay here again? Yes, please!

So, for the good....the room is spacious, including the bath area. The bed is comfy, the AC gets extremely cold and the blackout curtains are fantastic!! The lobby and dining areas are very nice, updated and comfortable for your leisure time. There is a gym and pool on the first floor across from the elevator. Breakfast is your usual. Scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, oatmeal with all of the fixins' and condiments. Yogurt, juice, fruit, breads and coffee. For the not so great, there aren't enough electrical sockets in my room and the fridge is rather small. I wish there were rooms with bigger fridges for longer stay guests. Other than that, I'm very well pleased and would certainly recommend this establishment for lodging.
