The first time we used DJ Dova he was great. The second time, he promised soo much for our Infinite Growth Expo... We paid him $4,300 and 3 weeks before our large event he backed out. He wasnt able to refund us our money, we scambled to find a replacement on such short notice, and to come up with more money to pay for a new DJ. I'm going to be filing a small court claim if I don't hear back from him on 06/21/24. First of all, he harassed my partner and I for 8 months to try to "sell" us more services and ask for more money. The day of the wedding we told him we'd be needing another mic for the ceremony and of course he said it was going to be an extra charge so we paid him and turns out he did not take the extra mic but instead borrowed it from the venue. Extremely unprofessional and horrible experience with this company. I definitely wouldn't waste your time or money. The owner who says he has 10 years of experience (which by the way he plays I doubt that) showed up to our event two and a half hours late! His response to his tardiness was "Yeah! Traffic is nuts". When he arrived he parked in middle of the street parallel to a guest car, who was parked next to the curb. When I asked for him not to come anymore due to his tardiness, and that I wanted a full refund. He then refused to refund me. Our contract stated that he would play for six hours and he only played for four hours. Before the event he kept texting and calling me asking me to pay my balance in full which thankfully I did not. I hired this POS for my wedding that happened last Saturday 2/24/24 for not only him to DJ but also "his" Photobooth named 'Annnd... Action Photobooth'. On Friday the 23rd, a day before my wedding Victoria G contacted the coordinator at my venue cancelling my event!!!! They didn't even have the decency to let ME know personally! it Seemed to me This so called DJ didn't even book my event but demanded FULL PAYMENT for both his DJ services and Photobooth! He bugged my life and texted/called me 100 x all day till I finally gave in! I asked to meet in person since I had cash only but he stated "he didn't do meet ups" like if he was important! I pushed the day so far to pay him in hopes he'd give up.. my downfall is I don't like saying "no" I love to help small business! My sister @Monas.touchofconfetti is a small business owner so I always keep her in mind. He seemed very polite and with manners over the phone and text.. DO NOT FALL FOR IT! He's a POS! After the Photobooth cancelled me a day before, Francisco Cordova "Dj Dova"cancelled me The DAY OF MY WEDDING. Gave me a sorry ass excuse involving his "father" & said he would send another DJ. TLDR: Dova did not honor the terms we agreed to in our signed contract and was completely unwilling to refund us even a portion of our money. We were looking for more of a master of ceremonies to get the crowd going for our event. Personality was everything in our search, and we chose Dova because of his energy. When we learned that Dova often delegates events to other DJ's in his stable, we specifically added to our contract that he would be our DJ. Long story short, he backed out of our event for personal reasons a week before the wedding. He found a replacement DJ for us who did a fair job, though it was a lot of added stress having to explain everything on the day of the wedding and basically walk this new DJ through our reception as it was happening. When we expressed that we were unhappy and referenced our signed contract, Dova said that he wasn't able to provide a refund. When pressed, he said that the best he could do was offer us 50% off future bookings and he promised that he would be our DJ. This was a mind-boggling offer to us, considering that he didn't show up to be our DJ when we had a SIGNED contract, but yet giving his word that he would be our DJ in the future was supposed to be recompense? Ridiculous. Overall, Dova was not very professional to deal with and he didn't honor the contract we agreed to. If you book with his company, just understand that it's at your own risk because your contract really doesn't mean anything. read more

Francisco was amazing with his response time and high energy. I was looking for a MC for my event. He assured me he was the best in the industry, and with his yelp rating, I had no reason to doubt him. Our contract stated he would provide 10 uplights, dance floor lighting, fog machine and monogram. He said he would be there 3 hours early to assure me it was perfect. Well, he didn't deliver what we agreed upon. He showed up very late, 30 minutes before the event was supposed to start. He didn't have any uplights(one of the reasons I chose him) or dance floor lights, no fog machine, and his so called monogram was a joke. He added so much unnecessary stress to an already stressful situation. He offered no apology or explanation. At the end of the night, he asked me what I thought, and I told him how unprofessional he was and I was very disappointed he didn't fulfill his agreement. He just shrugged it off as if he did not care. I followed up with an email giving him a chance to redeem himself, a refund of some sort, an apology, an explanation? He absolutely ignored my email and did not respond. I feel he is very unprofessional and has no respect fir his clients.
