Love the baguettes here especially!…read more DW Food to Go is the takeaway arm of the Douglas Willis butchers and if you're a massive Doug Willis fan like I am, I highly recommend popping in for a visit whenever you're in need for some hot food for takeaway in Cwmbran. ~ Atmosphere: Like I mentioned earlier, it's a takeaway, so the atmosphere is very minimal. There's very little seating, only a handful of tables and chairs outside the establishment, so I wouldn't bet on being able to find anywhere to sit and enjoy your meal. ~ Customer Service: I've not had any trouble here so far. The employees are very efficient workers and even when there is a huge queue of customers, everyone only needs to wait a couple minutes maximum until they get served. ~ Food: Like I said, LOVE the baguettes. Today, I ordered a lamb baguette which came with stuffing and mint jelly. Was absolutely divine! Even if you're not much of a baguette person (to be honest, I'm not usually one), there's plenty of other hot food for takeaway - ranging from curries, stews, to breakfast options. Whenever I drop by, I always have to spend a few minutes trying to decide what I want because everything looks delicious! I'm a massive fan of DW Food to Go. Tasty food, fast service, and affordable prices. You can't really get better than that!

Atmosphere: This spot is purely for takeaway, with no spaces to sit down, so keep that in mind if planning a visit. Other than that, the location is quite clean and well maintained. It's far less busy than the one in the town centre, so it's a lot less of a hectic atmosphere. Customer Service: Like I said, a lot less busy than the town centre takeaway and because of that I find the customer service a lot more easy going. When I was ordering back in the town centre, there was a bit of a queue of customers behind me so I felt really pressured in making every decision immediately instead of getting a chance to ask questions or figure out my options (such as what cut of meat I wanted, if I wanted mint sauce with my lamb, etc.). Food: The one reason why it gets 1 less star than the town centre branch. There just wasn't much of a variety on show! My only options were getting a baguette or a breakfast scramble dish. In contrast with the town centre branch with a variety of stews, roasts, and other goodies where you'll be struggling to decide, it didn't take long for me to work out that I'll probably go with Option A out of my only 2 and went for a baguette. I opted for a lamb baguette with stuffing and mint sauce. Absolutely divine - as expected from Doug Willis! I do understand that if there's less customers, there would be less turnover of food so they wouldn't really want to overcook. However, it's still a bit disappointing to have so few options on hand! This branch is pretty similar to the one in Cardiff, as it carries much the same product, but, in my estimations at least, it enjoys a better location, making it easier to get to if you are a driver. This is the shop to come to, to stock up on your quality vitamins. They do a great range of supplements, (including Solgar, which although expensive, are a good quality, reliable brand). They also carry an exclusive range of Swiss Herbal products that have proven to be a lifesaver on occasion. Beanfreaks also have an on-line shop that supports all of the products in their range. I hate to admit it, but I have considered using this service, rather than leaving the house when I have been feeling under the weather! Shame on me! (But in my defence, the last thing you need to do when you are feeling ropey is go shopping!!!).
