The fare was 35 Euros, fair considering the distance. A taxi arrived at the appointed time, but there was a stark difference between the age of the driver, young-ish, and the face on the taxi license, which bore the name Michael Constine; the driver was the son of Michael. The driver had been instructed by the hotel to take us to Douglas, but he left us off at Hayfield Hotel, almost 10 kilometers away from the correct address. Who knows what he was doing or thinking, and he was not especially nice or friendly on the ride. Once our party of three got out of the taxi, we soon realized Mr. Constine (jr's) error and we asked him to take us where he was supposed to go, and he swore at us, would not let us re-enter his taxi and he drove off. Do what you may to AVOID, at all costs, Michael Constine in a taxi, son or father. We had to pay another 25 Euros to get to our correct destination. I am requesting a full refund, but don't expect any reply either from father or son, or the taxi service he is associated with. This experience left us all with a bad taste and reflects poorly on Cork. Shame on the Constine family for treating visitors with such hostility. David

While I understand that not every firm confirms in this way, I did think it was very reasonable to check in as many taxis do not turn up on time or sometimes not at all and this was an early morning flight to the Airport. I was at sea as to why he found a need to confirm difficult to understand and also very confused as to why he got very agressive that we asked. Beyond disappointing, we will use another service now.

I contacted the agency the night before arriving to see if they could help with this request. Anthony Cannon responded to my email request promptly, offering me several fair and reasonable options after obtaining some details about my day. He was extremely pleasant and gave me several helpful tips so that I could meet my driver easily and quickly the next day. Our driver was also named Anthony and he went above and beyond to make sure I saw the land and castles of my ancestors and got us back to the ship with time to spare! This was no small feat given the fact that there were road closures and the ruins of the castle are not easily marked.
