A $3.50 Uber to an Incredible Massage…read more I was on a June sold out cruise. This is absolutely "not" a code word massage location. This is a legitimate rejuvenating experience. It was two women traveling but we are used to international travel. This was my 10+ plus cruise to Ensenada but my first massage exploration. There's so much to do here. Q: Is Ensenada Massage worth leaving the cruise port? Absolutely. If you have several hours in port, this was one of the best ways to spend them. I was able to enjoy a fantastic massage and still had enough time to get my nails done elsewhere before returning to the ship. Q: Should I book through the cruise line? No. Make your reservation directly with Ensenada Massage. The ship's "excursion" prices don't even compare. Save your money and invest in yourself. Q: What's the easiest way to get there? Take an Uber. It was only about $3.50 each way, and the driver picked us up and dropped us off right at the port entrance. You still have to walk to the ship another 5-7 minutes.Don't pay the extra transportation fee through the massage company or ship. It's not within walking distance from the cruise terminal, but Uber made it effortless. One extra tip: I walked about 7-10 minutes from the gangway to the Hotel Corona and requested my Uber from there. Wait time was under five minutes. Q: How was communication with Ensenada Massage? Excellent. They were very responsive on WhatsApp and answered every question quickly. Although they offered to reserve through WhatsApp, I felt more comfortable booking online with my credit card instead of using my debit card. Q: Can groups book together? Yes! I booked a couples massage even though we were just friends because it was easier to coordinate than making two separate appointments. They can even accommodate four people at the same time. Q: Which massages did you choose? I booked one deep tissue massage and one hot stone massage. They also offer several optional upgrades for around $10 each if you want to customize your experience. Q: How was the massage itself? High fives. Two snaps. Hip bump. Cha-ching. The therapists may be petite, but don't let that fool you. Their hand strength was incredible. From the warm greeting to the end of the session, the experience was professional, relaxing, and absolutely worth it. Q: What was the facility like? It was clean, safe, and well sanitized. No, it isn't a luxury spa with marble floors and stained-glass windows, but everything was comfortable, professional, and exactly what I wanted. I would happily return. Q: Is this safe for first-time visitors to Ensenada? Yes. If you've traveled internationally before, this will feel very easy to navigate. Even if it's your first visit to Mexico, I found the experience straightforward and felt comfortable throughout. Final tip: Skip the cruise ship spa. Make your reservation directly, call an Uber, relax, and head back to the ship feeling completely rejuvenated. *Bilingual English/Spanish If you try these tips, I'd love to hear how they worked for you! "Gratuity is good karma."

There were two mini vans waiting and my bf and I were able to sit in our own transportation vehicle. After a short ride, we waited for a bit and were led to the couple room next to the waiting room. The issue with this was that we can hear the customers waiting outside talking. We had to ask the masseuses to ask the customers to lower their voices. My masseuse was a female and she was so strong! I was almost to the point where it was intolerable but I powered through! She took out a lot of knots! Great massage for the price point and people were super friendly. The driver took us to a spot in Ensenada that we wanted to tour so I was glad that she was accommodating. I would definitely come back again!

Stay far away. This lady is a quack. She seemed caring and attentive during my botox injection and…read moreI was frankly very encouraged. But that afternoon my face painfully swelled up to breaking point and the I was in bed for two days moaning and incapacitated - and I am not a pain affected person. Over the course of three days, my face returned to normal - but there was no botox effect - literally nothing happened. My wife had a worse experience on her visit the same day and she didn't leave the house for almost a week. On top of this, she quoted a price of $100, but told me the bill was $170 and because of the pain I was in and the facial and some other things, I didnt notice the 70% increase. Of course, she didn't mention that she didn't take credit cards - standard at gringo places. Who carried $380 USD with them? What's worse, is we tried in good faith and gentle encouragement to work it out with her and let her make it right - a refund, trade for facials or other non invasive spa services. But she only wanted to shoot more "botox" which I was unwilling to do. She even sent me a picture of her "policy" that she isn't responsible for anything. In the weeks since, i have heard 20 horror stories from other patients about botox, filler and other procedures gone wrong and the corrective measures people had to take to go outside. Stay away, far away. She should not be working on people. Though, she did give a pretty good facial.

I really hate leaving negative reviews, but I feel like I need to warn others about Ale. I went to…read moreAle based on a friend's recommendation for a facial. I saw that she also does botox and had heard that she had worked in a spa in Beverly Hills. It hadn't occurred to me at the time that you must be a physician or a licensed nurse directed by a physician to administer botox in California, so there's no way Ale had any proper training in the US. I had Ale inject a little botox in my upper lip to help with lines. Note: She did not inject any filler. Just botox (I had several friends ask me if she had accidentally injected filler from the extreme nature of the swelling.) My husband also came with me to get his very first botox treatment in his forehead. We were charged more than the quoted price, and my lip started to swell almost immediately after injection. I have been getting botox 2-3 times a year for the past 8 years, and before this experience, the only reaction I had ever had was a tiny bruise at an injection site years ago. As the day went on, my lip swelled more and more to the point where the inside of my mouth split open. I looked like an alien monster from the Simpson's at my maximum swollen point. My husband also swelled throughout his entire face and had an excruciating headache for days. He's tough and barely flinched when she injected him, and he stayed in bed for two days from the pain. I contacted Ale and sent her a photo of the swelling and asked what to do. She suggested that I make a cold compress out of tea bags. She did seem like she wanted to help at the time, and admitted that she injects undiluted botox for more of an impact. Two weeks later and my face is back to normal, but I still have full movement of my upper lip. After all of the pain and embarrassment, the "botox" didn't even work. I contacted Ale requesting that she either refund the money or work out a plan to use the money towards facials at her spa (there is no way I'm letting her come near me with a needle again!) She sent me a photo of a sign in her spa stating she won't refund money. I see from other reviews that she likely made the sign because this is not the first time this she has botched a service.

Julie is incredibly professional and takes the time to understand exactly what's bothering you before she even starts. We talked through the areas where I was dealing with chronic tension and pain, and she explained how she'd approach the session. The massage was exactly what I needed. She worked out knots and tight muscles that have been bothering me for a long time, but somehow managed to keep the entire experience relaxing from beginning to end. Great pressure, amazing technique, and a smooth flow that never felt choppy or clinical. I signed up for the monthly membership before I left because it honestly offers a lot for the price. The gratuity is already included, you get a complimentary enhancement every month, and seeing the same therapist regularly just makes sense if you're serious about feeling better. I also asked about using my HSA. While they're still looking into accepting HSA payments directly, they were more than happy to provide a detailed invoice for reimbursement, and I appreciated that the owner immediately started researching it after I asked. Julie only sees a handful of clients each day so she can give everyone her full attention. Do yourself a favor and book ahead because I don't think openings will last long. If you're a first time massage client, you'll also get 15% off your first appointment. Highly recommend.
