This is one of the nicest hotels I've stayed at in my travels around the world. Great job everyone.

A wonderful place to stay in Reading - the staff at the Doubletree is uniformly one of the best I've encountered. Their breakfast buffet is excellent, highlighted by their omelet station (homemade salsas) and a variety of dishes above and beyond the normal fare (ex. smoothies, cheese-filled crepes, potstickers, a variety of fresh fruit). The hotel is simply well-run, and the attention to detail shows in the cleanliness of the rooms, the lobby, and the fitness areas. All the rave reviews are accurate and well-deserved - the Doubletree really knows how to treat its customers and provide a welcoming environment. read more

I absolutely love this place! My husband and I drive almost 2 hours just to eat at Cheers American Bistro! Chef Dan and his staff are amazing! We also enjoy staying at the hotel to catch a show nearby or just to take a short vacation! Every staff member who passes, greets you with a smile and short conversation to make sure they are meeting your needs! I highly recommend this place for a stay at the hotel or just to visit the restaurant/bar! It's clean, it's modern, it's Amazing! It's also just 15 minutes from Koziers Christmas Village!! We found this out at the hotel while searching for something fun in the area! Wow! read more

Stayed here a year ago for a concert at Perf Arts Center, back again for another concert and these guys delivered. The staff is super friendly and helpful! Very clean and comfortable rooms. Free parking and free shuttle to the venue. Breakfast is comparable to a resort buffet. Highly Recommended read more

I was a little worried about how this hotel was going to be given the area but that proved to be unfounded. They're situated in a great area for entertainment too! The food is delicious, and the staff are courteous and friendly. We even talked to some people from the city and they were super friendly and spoke very highly of the area. The room was clean and had a good view. We were highly satisfied with this hotel and it'll be our go-to whenever we come to Reading! read more

Very nice and staff was very nice . Good the parking is off street and not a parking lot as your car would have more potential of break and entering ,consideringbthe neighborhood. That said , the hotel was very nice and breakfast was good . I would stay again !! read more

I can't say enough good things about this hotel. But hands down, the staff is the best I think I've ever seen at a hotel, and I've stayed at a good number of really nice hotels. I was in town on a Work trip this past week and I had the pleasure of meeting Craig and Eric before heading out for dinner. Seeing them interact with the staff showed me right away, why the staff had been (and continued to be) so kind and solid. Craig and Eric care. They care about the hotel and the staff. I could tell you about the room, the lobby, the shuttle service, so on. All were of course wonderful. But that is due to the great staff. Keep up the good work! read more

Downtown Reading is a dump. The police don't prevent crime , they react one it's been committed. Location of hotel is in the belly of the beast. Hotel grounds are safe, indoor parking is secured. The hotel is new and the management and staff are outstanding. Rooms are nice size and very nicely furnished. Hospitality is at the forefront of the DoubleTree experience. Restaurants are good in house and if you venture out at night drive . Don't walk up & down the local streets at night. Located directly across arena. This hotel can definitely impress you if you appreciate great service. Prices are high per night and offer a reasonable value. If you absolutely must stay in Reading , this is your spot . Pretend you are in "I am legend" stay in hotel @ night . Police Chief & Mayor might be in room next door hiding out till Dawn. read more

Excellent hotel! Brand new, with large bedrooms, extremely clean, very comfortable beds... The restaurant is also pretty good and the service is super nice and professional. That applies to all the staff at the hotel. read more

×Wonderful night at the Doubletree. Drinks and incredible food. The staff gives excellent service. The great atmosphere and the wonderful music of Dave Cullen made this a magical night. My woman Millie made it especially wonderful. read more

Great property with great staff. Greeted with a fresh, warm cookie my family's stay kicked off excellently. The breakfast was above average with fresh ready to order omelettes, a fruit bar, lox, and a substantial hot bar. By far one of the best breakfasts I've had at a hotel. Hale Koa in Hawaii it's competitor. Would have given it a fifth star if not for the screaming train with tracks that sit right next to the entrance that became loud enough to wake the dead at 5am. There was also a broken elevator to parking and no kids play area. My 14mo old was happy with the large halls but missed a toy room that we have become accustomed to seeing at Hilton Hotels. I'd stay here again for the breakfast but not the train. read more

We had the opportunity to stay at this hotel for a bat mitzvah we were attending. I can't say enough good things! The property itself is immaculate and updated. Our room was huge and very tastefully furnished and comfortable. With all that being said, the best part of this hotel was the staff. Top to bottom everyone was polite and helpful. Anytime you passed a worker you got a "hello" and "can I help you in some way." Very impressive, I highly recommend! read more

Thank you to the waitress Nicki, who caused me to never come back to DoubleTree again until she is fired. A night that was supposed to be fun with coworkers ended up in misery. Congratulations Nicki for earning the worst waitress I've ever had in my entire life. You belong in the movies for how awful you treat customers. Also to the manager who called and said he would call me the following day with another manager, thank you for not calling. I've been waiting for about a week. I see how much you really care. Prior to this experience I've eaten here about 7 times within a month or two and had nothing but amazing things to say. read more

We are in the middle of a week long stay and i am impressed. It started with Braxton who was fantastic when we called and checked in to hotel. The excellent service did not end there. The restaurant and bar staff includes Christina and Nate so far, and they've been fantastic. And it's the nicest double tree I've ever stayed at. Our standard king room is great. Gym is terrific and the indoor pool is also terrific. read more

Just finished a 2 day business meeting here and this is a first class, hospitality driven hotel! The room service was fantastic and open late, the staff was especially accommodating and always had a smile, the refreshments during the meeting were delicious and always on time, the bar was jamming last night with a great band and to top it off- they provide you with ear plugs when the occasional train passes. The attention to detail was amazing. And the pillows.... Seriously superb staff and would highly recommend staying here. read more

I travel quite a bit and will say this is of the friendliest hotels I have ever stay in. My hats off the wonderful staff! read more

Would give 6 stars if I could. Facilities are brand new and beautiful, very clean as well. Room was spacious and perfect, beds comfortable etc. Only issue was the toilet in the room- it was flushing slowly and backed up a little. Other than that, everything was great. I loved the pool area too! Breakfast had so many options, was really delicious. The staff was so helpful and friendly and we ended up having full conversations with some of them- really nice people. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone staying in the Reading area :) read more

Let me tell you a story - I am part of a group that has a monthly educational gathering, and the Double Tree sponsors our use of the room. Last night - I was the presenter - I showed up and we weren't on the schedule, even though we had booked it months ago. I panicked! The staff jumped to work, set up the room, provided all we needed - which was a good thing, because we had 150 people show up! This is just an example of the amazing work the people who work here do every day. The Double Tree - and Craig Poole, the manager - is a tremendous blessing to our community. read more

I travel for work and stay in a hotel weekly. I will say this has been one the best hotels I've been to. Service was an A+ from check in, to the bar, to breakfast. Room was clean and inviting. They more then deserve the five stars. read more

If I could give no star I would . But I can't. So I tagged along with a friend so he can visit another friend that arrived from outta town. The doorman said he will offer his service to call up to the room.he did & he said that our friend said no & kicked us out. Which was a lie. We followed directions & left. While we're calling our friend to come down to resolve this , the doorman was manually closing/opening the automatic doors so we don't enter the lobby. After a while he came out & said we need to leave the property. I told him we're were on the phone with our friend. He continued to argue with us & I asked him for his name. I told him I'll give him my name also but he wasn't speaking & proceeded to call the cops. So I left. I don't appreciate the way this man handled the situations towards me . I received it as an act of racism. 484-721-2233 read more

I am staying with Doubletree until Sunday morning. At that point, I am being thrown out into the streets. The front desk is telling me that the hotel is "sold out" due to a corporate booking. I find it hard to believe that there is not one single room available for me to stay in. This hotel is not interested in the little person, but instead "Corporate America ". I am very disappointed. read more

This is an excellent hotel. The staff is friendly and accommodating, the food is very good, parking is easy, location is across from the arena, and the management is committed to being a positive influence in the community. read more

Excellent customer service!! By far best hotel service I ever receive. Hotel rooms are spotless every day after house keeping. Restaurant workers are quick to serve. Huge thanks to the shuttle service in particular employee: Luther who is very knowledgeable in the area and made sure our group was safe and went above and beyond to bring us back to the restaurant to retrieve a lost item. Huge thanks to the entire staff read more

I come here for training with my company and this place is hands down the BEST hotel I've ever stayed in. I'm originally from Vegas so I know a great hotel when I see one. Thanks double tree team for hiring such caring and great workers and providing excellent service! read more

I'm extremely critical of hotels and their cleanliness. This was a particularly stressful trip and I was already strung a little tight by the time I arrived late at night. To my delight, I was greeted at check-in by a very nice young man who did everything he could to help me get settled in for the night. The room was beautiful and very clean. When I had to check out a day earlier than planned, another nice young man helped me. I would recommend this DoubleTree location to anyone traveling through this area! read more

Wow what a wonderful hotel. Great hospitality as well as service. The staff is super friendly and very accommodating. The food is great and the bar is really nice with great staff as well. Love it hear. Just like what you expect from this type of hotel.

Went for a one night stay because we were in town for a lacrosse game. The hotel is spotless and beautifully decorated. The staff went out of their way whether it was at check in, the restaurant, bar, security, etc..........they were all fantastic! No matter which way you turned there was a staff member there to help with anything you needed. The bed was very comfortable and loved the pillows! We ate at a restaurant in town and then came back to Cheers for a night cap. The bartender was very friendly, great personality and made excellent drinks. In the morning we had a delicious breakfast before we checked out.....it was free since we are Hilton Honors Members. Highly recommend! read more

Stayed here for 1 night during a holiday weekend, BIG MISTAKE. Service was exceptional and our room was clean, nice and comfy. Unfortunately, their were many families also here on the same night. Teenagers were exploding through the walls, and forget about trying to take a swim, their were so many kids you could not even get to the pool area. Parents left their younger kids unattended to run up & down the halls screaming and playing ALL night, not an exaggeration, ALL NIGHT. We bring a sound machine when we travel & used the complimentary ear plugs provided but they did not provided assistance with the paper thin walls and dozens of naughty children. I'm sure this is a great place to stay when children are not left to run a muck. read more

Had an opportunity to stay at this hotel last night and it was wonderful. Beautifully appointed, you just don't want to leave. It's like Pottery Barn meets Crate and Barrel. Everyone is helpful, friendly, good food and nice bar and the General Manager, Mr. Craig Poole is always walking around making sure everything is going well and that guests are satisfied and happy. My husbands company had an event here and the ballroom was great, service attentive and food delicious. We had breakfast at the restaurant (Cheers) this morning which was very good and everything is reasonably priced. I will find a way to get back here soon, This hotel is beautiful and with the services and kindness, I felt like a princess. Only place to stay when visiting the Reading area. read more

I stay at hotels quite frequently and this Doubletree is by far the best hotel. It is new, but the staff consistently goes above and beyond what is expected. I was hosting a business lunch at my business partners office, and although DoubleTree does not offer off site catering, the restaurant manager (Ron DiBenedetto) agreed to make an exception. The lunch was fantastic and Ron did an excellent job. Additionally, on one stay I had to fly home for a family emergency, Steve and Danny were excellent and made sure that I was able to leave with nothing to take care of. The staff at this staff are far superior that any other hotel I have stayed at. Look forward to staying again next week. Cheryl N. read more
