Great hotel with reasonable rates. Pet friendly and rooms are very spacious. I didn't try any of their amenities but they didn't look nice and up to date.

The back space is breathtaking, and even better yet, they are double booked for weddings so they can share the beautiful space! The service, Tim, was awesome. So knowledgeable about the menu and the restaurant. They normally don't allow the space in the back to be open for dinner but for us they made the exception! For dinner I had the meatloaf, I love me some comfort food. Honestly it tastes like it was nuked so it wasn't my taste, hence the rating, but the space makes up for it! The best thing, you get vouchers for their good continental breakfast and one free drink when you stay at the hotel.

Mostly a bar crowd, amost 100% male on Tuesday.

Note: This review is for the Karma Pub only, the dining area of this hotel. From the pictures posted here you can easily deduce that this is primarily a bar but it also has a reasonably good food menu. We came here on a Tuesday night and from the number of cars in the parking lot near the door to the restaurant section, we thought it was going to be deserted. It turns out that this bar has a substantial crowd from the guests of the hotel. Most of them seemed only to be drinking. There are several tables near the back of the room that are of the reasonable height for dining and we found a spot there. The menu here is fairly eclectic and we ordered the butter chicken and the three meat Italian panini. The chicken was as authentic as in any nearby Indian restaurant and the panini while fairly mild was well-made and stuffed with meat. It was served with a choice of sides; we had the tater tots. Service on this night was provided by the bartenders and they did an excellent job. Locals who are passing up this place because they think of it as a typical hotel bar are missing out on some great casual dining.

So yesterday, I got a bowl of great French Onion Soup. Browned on top and all. Today I get a microwaved-cup of French Onion Soup. Tastes good, but come on.

Karma Pub, attached to the hotel, serves a tasty burger, fries, and pickle. Mark, the bartender, was attentive and friendly.

These are not grocery store cannolis--these are made with real ingredients--pistachios, peanuts, lemon and orange peels. We also had to grab a piece of cannoli cake. The shop is small, but in the cutest midcentury style building, and in the warmer weather, picnic tables are available outside. Don't be surprised if the staff offer you a fork with your purchases, so you can enjoy the treats right away! The owners also conduct classes, which we really want to attend in the future. They also offer catering. So happy to support this small business!

If I recall, there might be picnic tables outside? Could be wrong. My focus was on THE SHAKE! And I was so lucky to have Tony himself make it for me!!! I've been wanting to stop in for about a year now, so today's treat was extra special. Great service. It's run by happy people who love what they do, you can tell. And I guess Tony perfected his grandmother's recipe. I applaud the effort! I'm not a Midwest girl and dislike nearly everything about this rotten part of the country, but places like this with quality service, food, ambiance, and location make me feel like I can breathe. Lots of candies I've never seen or even tasted before. I set myself a limit in here because let's be real, you can go overboard on the yummy goodies. They also offer fudge and icecream. Staff encounter was minimal, but I can't say anyone was super eager and enthusiastic while ringing us up. That's why we didn't hesitate to order a special two-tier TikTok-themed cake for my niece's birthday on Saturday. Unfortunately, this time was very different. After picking up the cake and heading to the party, we discovered that the cake had completely caved in. The top tier slid off the bottom tier before we even opened the box. I took pictures immediately and contacted the bakery right away. I didn't ask for a refund--I simply asked if there was anything they could do to make it right. Instead, I was told that because the cake had left the store, there was nothing they could do. I even offered to return the damaged cake. Still, the manager on duty, Mario, said he couldn't help and would pass it on to his supervisor. We left the cake with them and walked out empty-handed--no replacement, no apology, no effort to resolve the issue. We ended up going to Sam's club buying two cakes($50 total with tax), and creatively combining them to save the party. Honestly, those cakes turned out better than what we originally purchased for $150.00 from La Luz This experience was really disappointing, especially considering the loyalty and money we've given LaLuz over the years. I'm leaving this review to let others know that if something goes wrong, you may not receive the customer service you'd expect--or deserve. Needless to say, we will be taking our business elsewhere. It was still a bit too sweet, I would've picked 10% if it had that option. The foam is a bit sour and bitter, kinda shocking. But not until you get to the actual drink part, it's actually not bad. The light bitterness throughout was really good. Both ube and dalgona flavors come out. But I might try to go with more simple/purer flavors, one at a time. I find mixed flavors a bit too much, since not all mixed flavors go well together. Might just go with dalgona by itself next time or ube creme brulee alone. Also, I think the drink I had would've been better cold, as the ice would cut the sweetness to half if I waited long enough. I would've ordered a cold one but cold would've exacerbated my cough, so hot it is. Also wanted to add that the boba were done well, not under or overcooked. The tapioca itself had a nice toasted sugar flavor. As for service, it's mostly a self-service kiosk. Ordering is pretty easy and straightforward, and they have Apple Pay. Interestingly the ordering system is through Chowbus, they text you your order number.
