Stopped in on an early Wednesday morning, headed back to the Front Range from Crested Butte. Glad we did! Review is only of the coffee/food, but the bike shop looked legit! Drinks: I had an iced Vanilla Gorilla w/ oat milk & it defined what I look for in an iced latte - not too sweet, with a powerful punch! My husband had an iced Americano & it also defined what he wants in his coffee - strength with no "foo foo"! Food: We each ordered a breakfast burrito, one with bacon & one with sausage. They were average, hence the 4 stars. Fixed the need for a quick breakfast, but not sure I need another. Would gladly stop here again. Yas!! -The baristas were bubbly and kind - There was a public bathroom that they let me use before I even ordered (Thank goodness!) - I ordered an iced The Big Loop, and when I tell you- it was SO good!! There's a lot of bike shops and there's a lot of coffee shops around, but what about a coffee shop that also does bike repairs and offers alcoholic beverages? Enter Double Shot Cyclery. It was freezing and my boyfriend and I wanted to come down from Crested Butte to explore a little bit of this nearby town. It was refreshing because it definitely didn't feel nearly as touristy as the Crested Butte area. We saw this spot and ended up staying here while we sipped on an Americano and a decaf latte and chatted with the owner, who seemed very friendly. Just sitting there for the 30 mins, we could tell that there were a lot of locals that regularly come in as the owner and the guest all seem to be on a first name basis. Loved the environment/decor and how the shop was laid out. There was a also a dog roaming around in the back. At the time we went (Dec 2021) the bathroom was out but they have a little porta potty outside that's heated. read more

Stopped in for a coffee on our way through town. I chose this place because I noticed they had their own specialty coffee drinks -- by which I mean they had their own syrup/flavor combinations. I never know which syrups to put in my drinks so I like it when someone else decides for me, lol. This place is also a bike shop! I'm not much of a biker but I had fun looking at the equipment while I waited for my drink. I don't think the AC was on when I visited and it was unfortunately rather hot in the shop. The gentleman at the counter was friendly and polite and warm, and he whipped my drink up fast while also paying proper attention to the customers who came in behind me! I got an iced Dr. Park, which had chocolate and hazelnut flavors. I didn't taste the hazelnut too much but it was a nice balance of bitter/sweet and coffee/chocolate so I was a happy camper. I also liked the size and proportion of the ice cubes. This is a solid spot to grab a drink if coffee is calling your name! read more

After a freezing evening camping out at Hartman Rocks, I needed a hot coffee to start my day. Since we got in really late to the campsite, I didn't have anything set up, so went into town and found this place. The bartista was very friendly and gave me suggestions of trails at Hatman Rocks that we're helpful. We talked about our original hometowns of Florida and Jersey, so fun memories in those states. This place caught my attention because we were biking all weekend and I might need repairs or parts. I got the Mechanic that is salted caramel and was gone before getting back to Hartman Rocks. My son enjoyed his hot cocoa. I also got a sausage burrito that was nothing compared to San Antonio tortillas. That was the knock of 1 Star, but this place is great to visit. read more

The coffee menu is unique in the names of their Speciality drinks. I prefer The mechanic a Slated Carmel vanilla latte. My fav Baristas are definitely Confessor and Devon. Hate to say it, but the coffee was Weak. The latte tasted mostly of milk, and the drip coffee was watered down. Maybe try adjusting the coffee-to-water ratio... or tweaking the size of coffee grinds (too coarse?) to fit the brewing method? Otherwise, we loved the space, the bike/coffee concept, and the friendly staff. read more

Double shot is my go to for Coffee and anything Bikes. They got me in and out on a snapped chain in less than 10 minutes... other shops in town would make me leave the bike and even charging two to three times times the price for the work. This shop has a really chill vibe, the people who work here are amazing and genuine. The manager also personally went that extra mile in making sure I was satisfied with my service, it's a small shop vibe and I like that. This place is awesome. I've never seen a bike shop and café mixed in one location before. The staff was super friendly, the two dudes that were working there were really nice. I got a double espresso And a sausage egg and cheese with avocado on an English muffin double toasted. The sandwich was delicious. Stopped in here while visiting some family friends out in Gunnison. I really dig the idea of the bike shop/coffee shop but all the ones I've been to out in LA are just plain stupid. These guys seemed to have a better handle on it for sure. It might have been the less pretentious small town vibe, or it may just have been that they were flat out better..I suppose only time, and more reviews will tell. I ordered, a double shot of espresso, because I thought it was super dumb to not order the namesake of the shop I was in. For the bike lovers reading this, they carry Specialized and Pivot, and have an ample selection of saddles, stems, and soft goods to acommodate nearly every rider. Didn't have any service done here, but I can say their sales staff is incredibly polite, and knowledgable. read more

Great bike shop with one of the best mechanics in all of Colorado! I brought my Specialized Stump Jumper in for a spring tune up and to add some Stan's to the 2Bliss front tire. Dan called to explain that I had about 5 rides remaining on the rear brake pads. I opted to replace them. A few more adjustments were needed & the bike was returned washed, clean, and even the tires appeared to have been Armor-All'd! Staff called twice with an update and then when it was ready to be picked up. Everyone there is super friendly & knowledgeable. Highly recommend just stopping in to chat or to grab a coffee or tea. Double Shot has wifi too. I often pop in just to check email. Wonderful No. Main location with terrific accessories and brands. My new go-to. read more

Hands down, this place has the best coffee in Gunni. The location is prime, the staff is superb, and the vibe is awesome. I have to emphasize how great the staff is. The second I walked in, I was enthusiastically greeted by the barista. She knew exactly what she was doing, and was extremely outgoing and friendly. About halfway through my visit, she even went out of her way to ask how my coffee was. This place is super trendy, has very friendly staff, the coffee is excellent, and the storefront is incredibly clean and well-organized. I love it! read more
