The horses were calm and well cared for, and the surrounding nature made for a relaxing couple of hours outdoors. Our guide made sure everyone felt comfortable and safe, and he was happy to answer questions along the way, which we appreciated. The three of us happen to be experienced riders, so part of me wished we could have picked up the pace and enjoyed a short gallop. I completely understand that safety rules exist for a reason, especially with mixed experience groups, but the thought did cross our minds as we rode along those inviting trails. One small thing that stood out was that our guide spent a fair amount of time on his phone, which occasionally pulled attention away from the ride and the natural surroundings during our two-hour outing. Overall though, it was a great experience. Friendly staff, beautiful setting, and a relaxing way to spend time outdoors.

He's an older off track thoroughbred. Dr. Carter came out and took X-rays. She explained everything in detail and went out of her way to respond after her visit by text to any questions I had. Dr. Cayot came out to practice equine dentistry on one of my old guys. Though he explained that there wasn't much he could do with the level of tooth that remained what he did do has improved my horse's quality of life and he's put on 40 lbs at least. The routine worming and bloodwork etc have all been simple and reliable. The office staff are friendly and understanding and more than willing to go the extra mile. I've told them there is clearly a reason they have a national reputation for excellence. They are most definitely Marion County's best. I can't imagine taking my business anywhere else.

We're looking at 3 months in recovery and physical therapy which we were told will cost up to $5000 and possibly more if there are ANY complications. We've driven by before when the parking lot was overflowing with vehicles but we haven't been curious enough to see what the hubbub was all about...until that day. The facility is huge! Stables upon stables of gorgeous horses and the main auction area was quite a scene. We initially watched the auction inside an air conditioned space...mindful to avoid making any movement that could be misconstrued as a bid! We then made our way to the outdoor area where horses were getting ready to enter the main auction area. What a fascinating experience! This 4-day spring event is apparently the biggest of the year. A 2-year old colt was purchased by a Saudi billionaire for $10.5 million, obliterating the previous record of $3.2 million set last year. For all horse-lovers, you really have to attend one of these events.
