And the only reason I didn't use them was another venue unexpectedly donated their venue to us at no charge... (Good to have connections!) Hard to beat a free venue... Kim was professional, personable, flexible, and extremely helpful in trying to meet my every need. We're a 501(c)3 and every dollar counts in our effort to fund local scholarships, and Kim took that guidance to the bank. She matched what I needed for per-meal price (beyond what any other venue could do), the price for the venue was VERY reasonable, and she was very timely in getting back to me after working out our deal with her manager. I called a lot of venues and talked to a lot of people. I'd looked into almost 30 venues for this event. Most venues are not flexible and didn't seem to care if they can't accommodate you. That's too expensive for you? Aw, sorry, good luck! *click* Others never even called me back. Not the case with Kim and Buffalo Valley. She really went the extra mile to make it work. It was a breath of fresh air working with her. I truly can't say enough good things about my experience. I highly recommend Buffalo Valley for your event. I love the colonial style home and enjoyed looking out into the multiple acres of land. The wedding took place indoors in one of the beautiful rooms and the reception across the hall. Our D.J. Toko did a great job with the music selection mix and the Photo Booth was fun too. The food and drink selection was decent. The bridal suite was beautiful and spacious as well. The staff were attentive and kind throughout my time there. This venue is a beautiful choice for a wedding and reception.

The mansion sits on 15 beautiful acres and the back lawn with the Gazebo was a perfect setting for a lovely couple to exchange their vows. The reception was took place in a elegant hall which transformed into a ballroom after the guests were well fed. I am the Office and Marketing Manager for a local architecture firm; as we approached the 25th…read moreanniversary of the firm being in business, I was tasked with planning the party. We were expecting about 150 people in attendance, and the event was only for two hours. We wanted food that would be easy to manage, as we mostly had just standing tables. After tasting a couple of catering options in the "Near Southside" area of Fort Worth where our headquarters is located, I was less than impressed. With Fort Worth's history of being a "good ole' boys town", the idea that we "keep things local" is much advertised, which is the feedback I received, but when the local caterers were not performing, I had to look somewhere else. I found Jared on a community rating site for various services (that of which should not be named) and was instantly impressed. Jared was quick to respond, and answered all of my questions. Since he wasn't local, the only issue we had was figuring out how to taste his cooking. Jared had another event going on at a local university the next week, and decided to drop by with a small sample. This sample was a simple chicken, mashed potatoes, and asparagus platter- nothing of which we would be wanting for our party- but I was intrigued. I cut up the sample and distributed it to my party committee and some of our principals, and we loved it! The food was hot, and the mashed potatoes tasted like Jared had been in the kitchen for hours mashing them by hand. The asparagus was perfectly cooked, as was the chicken. I was sold! We put a down payment on the date and anxiously waited. On May 11th, the day of our event, Jared showed up early to make sure that we were prepared, then he began to set up his spread. We had wanted a variety of cheeses, crackers, fruits, and some light entrees, so Jared came up with a marble slab display (very earthy and beautiful) and he placed two of the entrees in small martini glasses (shrimp and grits, artichoke dip...yum!) which were perfect for walking around and conversing with. My photo does not do this spread justice, but I have submitted it :) After the event, Jared and his bartender cleaned their area and even helped us pack away any extras that were left over. This catering service is truly "full service". We are elated to have found JaredPierre Private Chef & Catering to cater the celebration of our 25th Anniversary and we plan on using him in the future. In addition to his talents, I found him to be a wonderful individual, and we loved having his motivational energy at our event.

He just prepared a prime rib dinner for 12 for my husband's birthday and then he prepared a complete Thanksgiving dinner for 12 less than a week later. He made the pies and a giant crème brûlée birthday cake that not only tasted incredible but looked more like a sculpture than a cake! He is a talented chef with the sweetest personality. He is communicative and professional. We were so impressed with him and his food!

The Little Chapel in the Woods is a hidden gem on the Texas Women's University campus. It is a…read morebeautiful venue, often otherwise known as a wedding Chapel. I toured the place and learned of it's history, which is pretty interesting. The place was built during the Great Depression as part of the National Youth Administration. Over 300 TWU students participated in its building and creation, even making the stained glass windows that adorn this architectural piece. It was named one of Texas' most outstanding architectural achievements. Ironically it was even designed by a Denton resident who is also a nationally recognized architect, O'Neil Ford. Now you ready for the coolest face? This place was dedicated and opened on November 1, 1939 by none other than First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt, right here in Denton, Texas!
