Modern Male does a good job of capturing the 'male spa' experience without feeling forced or pretentious and they offer a wider array of services than their peers. While I haven't yet sampled any of the their other offerings, I have been returning to the same stylist (Courtney) for a haircut/ scalp treatment for the better part of a year so far and couldn't be happier. Truth be told, I'm not sure what the value of the scalp treatments is - or if I need it, but it's a really relaxing massage at the very least! Everyone in the salon is extremely pleasant and engaging, and the space is cozy, clean, and has a good energy about it. They don't have their own parking, but there is a large lot nearby and I've never really had any issue finding a spot. I intend to avail myself of their other services in the future, so I may edit at some point, but this place is aces in my book!

I've never left unhappy. Alison and Maddie were my first people I worked with on a pedicure and haircut, respectively. Alison is top notch. I wondered why I hadn't had her again until I realized I haven't been booking with her, but "any artist." My bad, Alison! In her stead, I've been working with Kiana, who was also been excellent (2 for 2 in pedicures!) Maddie has been a blast - because, I don't have much hair to work with, but she has been amazing with blending and texturing so I always feel awesome when I walk out. Plain and simple, yeah, you can get a hair cut for less. But the people, the vibe, that really makes it worthwhile to me. And as long as their staff keeps being awesome, I'll keep coming back!

They don't actually care about the clients just money and getting as many through as possible. CRM system on overdrive....i book an appointment for Wednesday 10:00 am, day before Thanksgiving. They clearly get the need for a "touch up" before the holidays. Tuesday arrives, I have the email reminders of the appointment, etc.. blowing me up, warning me of a late cancel and that I'd still be obligated to compensate them. Then, I get a 6 pm call...your stylist has had an emergency, won't be at work, appointment cancelled. Now, in fairness, they did call me - that's better than just finding out tomorrow, right? But, in fairness, did they even try to solve the problem? They did try to solve the problem by....oh yeah, they didn't do anything. They "solved" the problem by cancelling and giving me a different salons phone number - that's 30 min further. No appointment guarantee, no assessment of stylist...just go cold call this other place. They could have; 1) had a manager call me instead of the poor counter person, 2) trouble shooting this before the call, offer solutions, 3) pay someone off duty double time or more to fill in, 4) find another way, or my job to tell them. They chose not to. This business, and I'm putting this on the business owner not the stylists/employees, chose to screw me. They could have solved this problem, they chose to make it my problem. They chose to spend the money to recruit me, then chose not to spend the money to take care of me. This is why I will NEVER return. This owner does not care at all about their customers or the experience - take it as a warning. DO NOT BOOK AN APPT HERE - because if anything goes wrong, they will not take care of you.
