This place is still absolutely incredible!…read more We love this place so much that it's now going to become an annual family Christmas tradition! Sound quality is great and the mics make everyone sound good. There was a crazy dubstep show going on at the same time so there were lots of friendly GenZ'ers in goth/fetish gear milling about. My only criticism is that the bathrooms are a bit inadequate for the massive crowds this place can sometimes pull!

Tampa VIP Karaoke offers private rooms, which is perfect for bigger groups like ours. Just a heads-up: 20 people is definitely the max capacity, our room felt a bit tight. A big table in the middle took up a lot of space that honestly we could have done without, and the seating wasn't the most comfortable. Those were really the only downsides. On the plus side, the staff was fantastic. They made sure we were comfortable and even brought in an additional industrial fan at no extra charge when it got hot in the room from all the dancing and movement. That level of attentiveness really stood out. The setup is super easy to use since you control all the music from an iPad/ You-tube, and they kept us stocked with free water (pitchers from the bar), which we appreciated. Drinks were reasonably priced, and there were enough bathrooms, which is always important for big groups. It was a quieter night when we went, so parking wasn't an issue, but I can see it getting tight when they're busier. The bartenders and security were all kind and welcoming, our whole group (late 20s/early 30s, mixed guys and girls) felt very comfortable the entire time. We stayed for 4 hours, and it came out to just $16 per person, which is an incredible deal compared to other places in Tampa. For reference, we recently paid $36 per person at another karaoke spot with a smaller group for only 2 hours. Overall, a really fun and affordable night out, just be ready for a cozy room if you max out the capacity!

So we left for Pete's south. Upon arrival we saw a pretty good mixed crowd. There we chose the smaller bar for drinks and headed for the dart boards. A bit crowded with 4-5 E-Dart boards, but all the young players were respectful and courteous. The only annoyance being staff needed to cross every 10-20 minutes in and out of the back exit and cooler. Bathroom both male and female were pretty gross with piss on the floor and toilets with paper and napkins thrown around. Kareoke, you can barely hear your self over the roar of the bar so you better be loud and confident, having to step down off the small stage to hear yourself. The DJ said it's the system norm. Security were very pleasant and respectful at both bars, we felt a good safe environment and interaction. Food, We were not offered a menu nor was there any indication of a kitchen so it must have been closed? Not sure. The real unpleasant "surprise" comes when you get the bill $178, with titos vodka being labed "premium" pour at $10.50 per pour ×2 with a drink being served out of an 8oz cup filled to the brim with ice a splash of soda and a spit of cranberry: $21... Either our first drinks or last drinks we special because we had -$1 on those? At this point I didnt want ruin the night with hating the players, hate the game. They obviously played the "don't ask don't tell" because until the bill with no posted prices or information, I had no idea what I would be paying. THATS WHAT YOU GET FOR TRUSTING ANOPEN RUNNING TAB. A fool and his money were easily parted. I was pleasant and tipped $30 ca$h. But for a one night tampa experience 6× $21 drinks and 7x $7 beers. We will wait till we are back home in Sarasota to go out... $200 for 2+ hours out. No...

It was noted online that this is the place for Viking fans to meet up and the Vikings fans did not disappoint. They showed up in droves ready to pre-game, eat, and cheer for their team. The staff on the other hand were not as prepared and/or staffed accordingly. We did try to put our name down for a table but by the time we got called we finally found 2 stools at the bar. The staff was pulled in so many directions but they all handled it like champions and everyone was so polite. We had Christina and another lovely bartender (cute petite blonde) on our end closer by the entrance that helped in that corner around mid-day. One of the bartenders says she has never seen it as busy as that day in the 3 years she worked here. Wow! Go Bikes Go! I had a bunch of sun cruisers until they ran out of those and then I went to surfsides. They are so delish and my new fav drink at a bar. They also ran out of Coors Lights at one point as well as Miller Lites. We also ordered food. I had the dry rub wings and they were to die for. Some of the best wings I've ever had in my life...no joke! Sorry I ate before my phone ate.

We have never been there before but friends of ours do play there once in while. So that's where we headed. As others have stated there is plenty of parking, in the main lot and in back. We parked in the main lot. Walked inside an immediately notice this was a place for music. No bands were playing since it was early. Found a spot at the bar, may have been ten others sitting at the bar. There was only one bar tender working the bar and she was working it. She came and saw us right after sitting and got our drink orders. Not sure if we wanted to eat but we still looked over the menu. We decided to get some food. I noticed they do a smashburger and I am always up for a that. The wife has been watching what she eats and decided on the chicken strips. The food didn't take long to arrive and both looked very good. My burger was done right, double cheesesmash with LTO just the way I like it. I got fries with it as well and I must say these were some mighty good fries. My wife really liked her chicken strips too. They were not battered and not overly fried, still very moist on the inside. She has been trying to stay away from overly fried foods and these were not overly done. I believe she ate them all as well. Since it was early there were no seating issues like I have read from others. And if your a car person they do a last Sunday of the month breakfast buffet and car show in the morning. Looking forward to that. All I can say is give this place a try. May have to go in the evening and listen to some live music. Peace.

I ordered the chicken and waffles as I wanted a bit of savory and sweet. I meant to ask for the berry compote on the side, but forgot. However, the berry compote on top of the waffles was actually pretty nice and added to the meal. I also ordered the Black Truffle Mac and Cheese. Me and my friend ordered that last time and we chowed down, it was DELICIOUS! Perfectly cooked, thick, yummy cheese, and great amount of flavor. The big draw for my group is the open karaoke! On Sundays, LALA offers open karaoke in the main restaurant from 1-4 pm. There's a small stage at the front of the restaurant. It's free, you just add your name to the list. There usually isn't a long wait to sing. The last couple of times, my party was able to sing several times. Each time, the list was short, so the same people kept going up to sing again and again. It's a very fun environment. We had Patrick as a server this time - he was very patient and really attentive. It's not a huge restaurant inside (but still good amount of seating) and everyone I've come across from staff to patrons have been amazing. Great stop to visit if you're checking out St Pete! LALA is located in a great area, right in the middle of Central Ave. Would absolutely recommend a brunch here if you're looking for something fun and different but also still a bit laid back.
