Let me preface this and say this is not a review of the company. This is a review, and warning, about the unprofessional and unethical owner. If he runs his business anything close to how he treated a former customer and neighbor, then I would steer clear.
His company shares a property line with my mom. On August 21st, he trespassed onto my mom's property with the intentions of 'cleaning up' the shoreline of the lake while he was doing the same to his side. NO permission/discussion/warning/etc. He pushed over all the trees, brush, and debris into the water and left them there. He knocked several concrete slabs from the pier into the water and left them there. Several ruts were made in the grass as well, showing that he went almost across the entire span of their property. Most importantly, he cut down a huge lilac bush that my father, who has recently passed away, planted for my mom nearly 20 years ago. This lilac bush is not even on the shoreline, and is actually several feet back.
All of that aside, my mom nicely asked him to fix/replace what he damaged. On August 27th, he signed a written agreement to rectify the following within 30 days: Clean up the water's edge, brush, ruts, and debris. Retrieve concrete pads from water and return to pier. Replace lilac bush. -- Verbatim. A very simple request. On September 5th, he made an attempt to clean up some of the brush, but that's all that has been done.
As of today, October 1st, he has failed to complete what he said he would do. My mom walked up to his business to talk to him, at which point he told my mom 'she was milking the situation' and 'to just go ahead and sue him'. There is a very simple solution to this problem, and the fact that he would rather have someone sue him than fix his mistake speaks volumes. Take your money elsewhere! read more
