Absolutely the most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed at. Had to switch rooms three times... All…read morethree rooms were disgusting. We ended up leaving and driving 2 hours to another hotel that had vacancy in Pennsylvania. Unclean bathrooms, stains in the bed, dirty smells.... That could only be described as smoke with a hint of feet, a single hard boiled egg, and years of mushrooms growing in the air vents..... Will NEVER return to this location. Newly renovated? They did a TERRIBLE job. There are mistakes all over the place. It looks like whoever they hired was blind. Renovated part of the room, but the showers look like they're from 100 years ago. The showers were the most disgusting thing I've ever seen in a hotel. To the point that I was scraping Lord knows how many years worth of soap scum off of the shower walls with the hotel key that was black and brown... Oh and then there was the pubic hairs all over the toilet. All three showers had soap scum on it, mixed in with years of shampoo and liquid skin flakes. There was trash in the trash can, we didn't get a picture of that one unfortunately..... We did get the picture however of what I can only hope was barbecue sauce all over the mattress.... Though we know it wasn't..... But in our heads there was a barbecue eating contest going on in the room and somebody spilled it all over the bare mattress for some reason.... Even on Google it appears that the owner only replies the five star ratings.. never replies to the negative reviews I would like to add that we tried to stay here after a 12-hour drive as we were moving across country. After the third gross hotel room we went back down to the front desk and immediately checked out Due to a bunch of events in the area and then in Cleveland having half the city with no power we ended up having to drive two plus hours at 2:00 in the morning to get to Pennsylvania around 5:00 5:30 a.m. before we were able to settle down and get some rest. Since we had to continue driving for another 2 and 1/2 hours the following hotel we stayed at the next day was not enough miles away from the one we stayed at on this night, so instead of being reimbursed from my employer for the stay (moving cross country employer was paying for the move) I had to pay out of pocket which was another unexpected expense. How do we been able to stay at this hotel I would have had no problem..... However I don't know when my last hepatitis and tetanus shot was so we chose not to.. Do yourself a favor don't stay in Ohio at all if you can avoid it... But definitely not the Fremont area... definitely not this Holiday inn. If however you decide you would like to stay at this Holiday inn I would definitely bring hand sanitizer, maybe a bottle of two of bleach, something toward evil spirits away like a cross, a hazmat clean suit, and definitely would make sure you go get updated vaccines like tetanus shots after..... Unless you're fully immune than you're probably okay. My dad always told me whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger however we weren't taking the chance... Not today Ohio....

Let me start by stating the obvious: Quality Inn and Conference Center isn't the Ritz-Carlton. I'm…read morerating it in context, and that context is the upper sub-tier of budget hotels. If you're looking for a 5-star hotel in the sense of ultimate luxury, look elsewhere. The TL:DR of this review is that this hotel provides clean, comfortable rooms and a few amenities for the traveler at a price that's reasonable. As has become our custom when we travel, we didn't make any reservations in advance, as we didn't know how far from home we'd get before stopping for the night. I usually use the iExit app on my smartphone to scope out the prospects when we get tired, but this time I had fallen asleep in the passenger seat, so my wife simply pulled into the closest property to the Interstate ramp. I was greeted by a very friendly, helpful overnight receptionist who found me a room for two parents and a teen. The price was at the high end of what I expected, but at that hour, I wasn't in the mood to shop around. The room was fine - two queen-size beds, a typical motel bathroom, a TV set (that we didn't use), dresser, desk, nightstand, a nice lounge-style chair, an office chair to go with the desk, some hanging space with plenty of hangers for coats. There were four nicely-stuffed pillows on each bed, and the mattresses were firm, just the way I like them. Plenty of clean towels and washcloths in the bathroom. Minor defects were a little mold on the bathtub caulk, a heater/AC unit with a thermostat that needs calibration (but it was very quiet and kept us comfy), a clock-radio with a very bright display and no obvious way to dim it, and we had to hunt around a bit for power outlets. Extras included a generous mini-fridge, microwave, in-room coffeemaker with tea and coffee selections, and a clock-radio that provided 2 standard 120V AC outlets rated at 500W each. The most important thing was that we were very comfortable in that room. The motel serves a complimentary breakfast. It's a simple affair, with nothing cooked fresh, but there's dry cereal (Cheerios and Cinnamon Toast Crunch in sealed, single-serve bowl-packs), pastries, juices, yogurt, milk, a couple of packaged microwaveable breakfast options, coffee and tea. The coffee is served up using a Keurig brewer, so every cup is fresh. Just steps from the parking lot is a Shell station with a mini-mart that appears to be open 24/7, so if you need anything that's not in your room, you can probably get it at that mini-mart. Checkout was facilitated by a morning receptionist who was also very nice. She printed out our checkout paperwork and told us we could simply leave our cardkey in the room to save us the trouble of returning to the desk. All in all, it was a short by very enjoyable stay. A special hat-tip to the staff, particularly the front desk clerks and the housekeeping people. They make everything about this motel shine!

Upon arrival, we had a smooth check-in and the front desk clerk was friendly and knowledgeable. She gave us a choice of rooms, either 1 king or 2 queens, but the 1 king room was on the second floor - and there is no elevator here. So, since my wife was feeling a bit under the weather, we opted for the 2 queens on the first floor. After we got to the room and got settled in, we received a call from the front desk asking if everything was OK with the room. That's something that I haven't had happen in any of my other hotel stays, anywhere. A very nice touch! Wish more hotels did that. The room was clean and tidy. The HVAC had a constant-on setting, which is something we like. We could hear our neighbors occasionally, though, and since we were on the side facing the Ohio Turnpike, the traffic could be heard a bit as well... even with the HVAC running. There was plenty of hot water with no fluctuations. This is a pretty large hotel, with the rooms spread out over three "areas". We were in the C section, so it was a bit of a walk to the front desk. Not a big deal for us, but like the lack of elevator, keep that in mind. You CAN drive from the main entrance to the entrances for the A, B, or C areas, which does help a bit. The hotel is undergoing a bit of a renovation project in the corridors, so it's got the "under construction" look. Also, there aren't any food places close by, but there are plenty about 5-10 minutes away. We did not try the breakfast, and it was picked up by the time we got to the lobby. Not a bad stay overall.

What sets this winery apart is its location--it's one of the few places in the area where you can sip wine while enjoying close proximity to the water. The atmosphere was peaceful, and the outdoor seating offered beautiful views that made our tasting even more enjoyable. Whether you're a casual wine drinker or a seasoned connoisseur, the setting alone is worth the visit. We had the opportunity to sample a wide variety of wines during our visit, and it was a delightful experience from start to finish. The tasting was well-organized, and the staff were both knowledgeable and friendly, making great recommendations based on our preferences. We were particularly impressed with the Pinot Grigio, which had a crisp, refreshing taste perfect for a warm afternoon by the water. However, it was the Cabernet that truly stood out for us. It had a rich, full-bodied flavor with just the right amount of complexity--a balance of boldness and smoothness that left us both savoring each sip. The Cabernet was so exceptional that we knew we couldn't leave without bringing some home. We ended up purchasing two bottles, and I have no doubt that we'll be reminiscing about our time at the winery as we enjoy them in the future. It's not often you come across a red that makes such a lasting impression, but this one definitely did. If you're in the Port Clinton area, I highly recommend visiting this winery. It offers more than just great wines--it provides an experience. Between the friendly staff, the well-curated wine selection, and the beautiful location near the water, it's a perfect spot to unwind and enjoy some truly memorable wines. We'll definitely be returning!

We had probably the friendliest and most enthusiastic greeting when we walked in; or maybe it WAS the gift bag. Either way, it would be hard to be in a bad mood after this. We found a clean and comfortable room with all of the usual amenities such as refrigerator, Keurig coffee maker, microwave, desk, free internet, etc. The beds were very comfortable and when I stretched out just to rest after a day of weather and traffic, I quickly fell asleep. At checkout the next morning there were more friendly, smiling faces asking how our stay was...maybe it's just something in the water around here. We had a restful, comfortable stay and we left ready for another day of driving. I would definitely stay here again!
