I can go in a chill. Great servers and bartenders. Love the atmosphere and there is outdoor seating available.

The Anchor On Eagle Mountain Lake - Wing plate and we had a side of fries that was never received :(

So let me start right off by saying that lakeside grills like The Anchor are in their own category…read moreand I don't directly compare them to more landlocked establishments. You come here for a specific vibe and that vibe does not conform to typical restaurant standards. So do with that information, what you may. The ambiance is probably the best of any lakeside establishment I have been to so far, garage doors open the dining room up to fresh air and sun. The only downside is that the marina building block most of the beautiful view. The menu was full was creative names that make you giggle as you read them. We started the fried floaters (fried pickles) and fried ritos (fried burritos) to start. Both were good the fried Rito's were reminiscent of all famous burrito, although not quite that good still delicious although they were quite large. I was expecting something that looked more like an egg roll and these were full-size burritos so keep that in mind before ordering. For my main course, I had the Tom's classic burger, was a little disappointed as it was less flavorful and a little bit drier than I expected it to be. The fries and everything else were great. We skipped dessert this time. The staff were all very polite and professional, overall I liked this place I probably won't go back just because of the distance. I gave it four stars because of the burger quality. Also FYI, like many lakeside grills, they still allow smoking at this particular establishment so be aware, in case that's something that bothers you.

Pro tip -- yes, they serve breakfast. Ask Chuck for the Lake Water Special ;)…read more This is not 4 stars because the food is life-changing. Lake life service. The food is... fine. Exceptionally average. But that's not the point. This place is a lake day core memory waiting to happen. You'll tell your kids about it one day the same way your dad still talks about the gas station burrito stand from '92. Don't walk in with Michelin expectations -- this is an RV park dockside spot. The magic is in the accessories: 1) Bring good friends, and maybe a dog named Bean. 2) Order a sweet tea the size of a paint bucket. 3) Pull up on your boat and let the sunburn do the seasoning. If you're giving this place a bad review, you're not passing the vibe check. This isn't about culinary excellence -- it's about soaking up lake water, light beer, and questionable decisions with a side of fries. I got the grilled cheese. American cheese, white bread, butter. Something to go in your stomach for $5. TL;DR -- This place has Big D Energy if you do.

They also have a really cool bar with pretty good happy hour prices and very good service. We came across this restaurant by accident and they're really glad we did. Great burger spot with option for gluten free buns…read more Food: I got the Guac Burger and it was excellent. You can actually taste the flavor of the meat instead of it just being lost in toppings. The gluten free bun was a pleasant surprise too; it held together really well and didn't fall apart like most do. Fries were tasty and well seasoned. Prices: It wasn't bad at all. $20 for the burger (with the gluten free bun upcharge) and a drink felt fair for what you get. Service: Good when my waitress was around. She was friendly. Just wish she'd checked in a little more often. Environment: Nice patio for when the weather's good, and the inside has a cool vibe. You can tell it gets packed though, so definitely make a reservation or go early if you can. Will for sure be going back. Biggest issue was parking. It's on the edge of downtown Weatherford, so good luck finding a spot around meal time

The burgers reminded us of a backyard burger that your grandpa would grill up at a bbq and the juiciness was perfect. Our waitress recommended extra crispy bacon and the chefs definitely delivered! We really enjoyed our time at Shep's along with the chill vibe and will definitely make a stop back in next time we're in TX Side note- love the bathroom writing! Really positive stuff that made me smile

Peak Restaurant & Bar - Momo platter Comes with chili, steamed, kothey and fried momo

I thought maybe it was because of takeout, so I decided to dine in before leaving a review. This time, I went to the restaurant and ordered the momo platter (fried, kothe, steamed, and chili momo). The chili momo was a no-go for me since it was mixed with ketchup, making it too sweet and overpowering. The rest were just okay, not bad, but lacking flavor. The wrap is too thick and the two achars (red chili and regular momo achar) were also pretty average. I also tried the jhol momo, but again, the momo wasn't juicy or flavorful, and the achar was just mid. Dining in didn't change much from my takeout experiences. Service was great and the restaurant itself is nice but the momos aren't it. I'll probably try other dishes next time instead.

Unfortunately, our takeout experience fell short of expectations. I ordered the butter chicken, and while the flavor was okay, there was hardly any chicken in it. My husband's dish had the same issue; more sauce than substance. The Aloo Gobi was flavorful (probably the highlight of the meal), but the portion was small and noticeably heavier on potatoes than cauliflower (there was one large piece of cauliflower we split) and maybe 5 chunks of potato. For the price, the portions were disappointing. Even my Nepalese friend, who usually speaks highly of this place, was surprised by how little we received. I understand the restaurant leans more toward Nepalese specialties than Indian classics, but for what we paid, it just didn't feel worth it. Overall, it's a shame. The food had potential, but the value wasn't there. I really wanted to love this place, but I don't think we'll be back. I can't speak for the interior as it was take out. And I will say despite my food complaint, at pick up, the staff were kind.

While other servers seemed more focused on socializing with regulars than doing their jobs, Taylor stood out immediately. She stayed engaged, checked in at the right times, and made sure everything was handled without needing to be asked twice. That's not luck--that's professionalism. She brings a mix of intelligence and humor that makes the experience better without being forced or over the top. More importantly, she executes. Orders are right, timing is right, and the overall experience feels intentional--not neglected. If you're going to Rowdy Cowboy, don't leave it to chance. Ask for Taylor by name. My Overall Rating - 3 1/2 Stars (5 Stars if you only care about service) Atmosphere - It's pretty electric. There is a large bar in the middle, tons of bar seating, and during my Thursday visit for lunch, it was packed. The vibes are good, and tons of TVs are showing sports. If you have an XY chromosome, this is your place. 1 Star. Service - Rowdy Cowboy is known for having great servers who are very friendly (and nice to look at). All tables were taken, so I sat at the bar. The bartenders were fast, efficient, and very friendly. They got my order wrong, but I don't care. Their friendliness made me not care. 1 Star. Food - Look, if you're here, you're not here for the food. I started with the Steak Frites. The steak was super tender but lacked seasoning. The shoestring fries were awesome and made the perfect pairing to the steak. I ordered the Brisket Sliders but ended up with Wagyu Sliders. I didn't mind because our bartenders were so friendly, but the sliders were just ok. Remember, this place is not known for the food. 1/2 Star. Will I Return? - Yes. Rowdy Cowboy knows exactly what it does well, and believe me it does it well. In fact, out of all the restaurants in this genre, Rowdy Cowboy has the friendliest staff. Yes, I will be back. 1 Star.
