They don't allow backpacks into the Duomo, so you may have to leave it to the backpack check in location. The view is majestic and the architecture is full of details and its surprising that it was done centuries ago... Definitely worth coming to this place!

When we got home, our dentist in the US was impressed himself with the work Dr. Marchesi performed. Best of all, his cost was reasonable and his bedside manner was much appreciated. His office was clean and professional. We're grateful for his help during a stressful time and recommend him to anyone in Firenze or beyond.

Now I have a bigger complaint because the hospital link to customer complaints does not work. And based on my past weeks exerience with Careggi Hospital, it makws sense the hispiral has no cuskmter service. My feiend Javier has been in intensive care for two weeks. He is breathing on his own now, even walking around and anxious to be dischaeged. However, the hospital is scheduling multiple cat scans. I am not a medical doctor, so I cannot questio the rationale for so many scans. But what I do have a maior problem with is that scans are scheduled on multople days in the morning, but never happens on time. Javier often waits until late afternoon, and now today, with no food because he cannot eat prior to the scan. How is a patient suppose to get better if the hospital starves a patient for over 20 hours. His last meal was dinner yesterday at 21:00 yesterday and it is now 18:00 today. This care is becoming poorer every day and no one wants to hear these complaints, this is just there normal operating procedure. This is very sad as I am sure numerous patients are experiencing the same lack of care. Shameful really!

After a very short wait, the doctor greeted all of us and gave our son a basic exam in his office. He was very kind and very good with children. The office visit cost us €60 and they accepted credit cards. This was a very pleasant experience! Cheers to Dr. Smorlesi and his staff. Grazie!

By the time we arrived in Florence, I could not leave my Hotel (Orto de Medici) due to the pain. The hotel (10/10) contacted this service and Dr Smorlesi arrived quickly at my hotel room. He asked pertinent questions and (without imaging) assessed cervical spine issues. He wrote appropriate prescriptions and gave me a shot of cortisone in my hip. This rescued me! I had been very anxious about flying back to Seattle in so much discomfort but was able to do so comfortably. Dr Smorlesi was professional, respectful and approachable. His fee was more than reasonable at €180. This experience will be remembered as much as seeing The David!

There's an emergency room parking and some concrete benches beyond that there's not much else to do here other than take a look. When i arrived in italy, i was really panicked at the prices of a doctor visit, but then i found this place where prices are reasonable and more in line with what i am used to - around 45 euros for a specialist. Go to their amazing website where you can book in one instant with any specialist (any!) so you do not even need to call. You receive the info by email and hop, off you can go. You can even access the CV of doctors online if you are looking for a very specialized specialist. it really is a modern institution. Doctors i saw seem very good (how would i know for sure, you will tell me) and are more or less on time. You will have a number and you wait to see yours called on the board. Very efficient! Most of doctors i saw spoke English. The problem is that after you will need to go to a pharmacy and pay a fortune - i do not understand how medicines can be so expensive. Anyway, Misericordia at least helped you with the price of doctors.

Mostly through non-verbal communication, I explained what I needed to the clerk, who had me sit on a short stool in a semi-private area. He came over with a compressive support brace for my ankle and let me try it on. It fit perfectly and really helped with the pain, so I wore it out of the pharmacy. I believe it was 14 euro. I can't comment on whether or not that's a good price for the product, but I can tell you that I wore that thing for the rest of my trip. Money well-spent, for sure. Thanks, Farmacia Brizio-Mazzei!

I arrived jetlagged from the United States and with the workload and walking and learning new physical skills -- my body was getting a lot of tension. Davide helped me SO much. I must have emailed 5-6 people before arriving -- I knew I'd need a massage therapist while in Florence -- and Davide was very punctual, professional and clear. I love that he comes to you. After a day of walking, standing, drawing, painting and at the art gallery, last thing I wanted to do was walk to a massage studio. He came to me. As others have mentioned, Davide is very punctual, responsible, and kind. I must have gotten around 8 massages from him in my month here -- varying from 1.5 hours to 2 hours in length (I prefer longer massages). He was on time every time, he was consistent, very professional -- and, also, great massage! I was at a rented apartment so as a guy I was worried if it was going to be weird with another guy coming over to massage you. It shouldn't be but you know what I mean. I've had female massage therapists come give me professional massages before but never men. It was never awkward or anything like that. Davide was very professional, everything was perfect -- and great massages! I was having some muscle spasms in my upper back from tension, then had issues with my calves and hamstrings at other times, he was very accomodating and addressed those. I think I got three massages from Davide in my first week here. In the last week I needed only one. Davide was essential in helping my body to relax after a very intense day of learning new and very physical skill. He was the utmost professional -- reliable, polite, punctual and great massage therapists. He was an essential part of me learning new skills in Firenze, I thank him in helping me recover. He definitely is the most professional massage therapist in Florence plus a good man and genuine person! I will see him again when I return to Firenze in a few months and I recommend him highly.
