None of the work on the deck was to code after repeatedly calling and texting with specific photos and videos to Mr. Santiago of all that needed to be done to bring it to code and code compliance written into the signed contract. The deck lacked flashing against the house in multiple places, the stairs were uneven and crooked, the railings were not to code, boards were cut unevenly, etc. Bottom line is we are left with a bigger mess than we started with and now have to completely tear up what was done incorrectly and pay a new builder to redo the deck without any refund from Mr. Santiago. Run from this company.

He called another guy to come over (I think this guy was the owner). They were trying to sell us a gas heater for $4000. We get it that our oil furnace is old and out dated but we didn't have thousands for a new gas system. They left. Husband called an electrician he knew from work. He said the problem was a sensor that was $20 or $30. After he put that in, it worked like a charm. Austin was out for money instead of fixing their own system. We would NEVER trust them and neither should anyone else.

I had to pay him for his service visit to get the part information so I could order the part online for $140 that he intended to charge me a $500 for. It took me only a few minutes to install the part using a screw driver to mount 4 screws. Even after paying Steve for his initial service visit he would not return my call or text when I had a simple question about what he'd removed from the furnace. In my experience he's not beyond gross price gouging on both the cost of parts and the install. Be careful. What cost me $140 for the part and ten minutes to install, he wanted to charge me $800 and he wouldn't respond to my text with a simple question after I paid him $130 for his initial visit.
