Best place for groceries in Bellbrook. It's independently owned. Maybe there's a Kroger in town but who cares when you have this. Good prices. They seem to care about the customer more than any of the chain stores. It's common to see employees carrying and carting groceries to customers' cars. It's becoming rare to see that kind of thing as more chains take over. They are willing to give you their attention and time. Inside it looks like a classic small grocery store, with friendly employees. The selection is simpler but you can find most of what you need. Though it's a small store it has some good selection. A buddy was bragging about their classic Cuban sandwich. I learned that neither my buddy or Dot's sandwich maker have never been to Little Havana. The bread was wrong. The deli ham was thin sliced; it should've been thick sliced. The pork was not marinated in a Mojo sauce and should have been thick sliced. The mustard, mayo and pickles were fine. First of all I wanna say I have shopped at your store for over 25 years. I have several things I buy there plus the 3 piece chicken tenders/with2 sides. If I am on Wilmington Pk I like to go home as my grandkids say "the back roads" then stop at Dots. My grandkids and I stopped in yesterday for my usual items then the tenders which we buy last. We got 3 of the tenders/with 2 sides. as soon as we got home we sat down to enjoy our food, my granddaughter took a couple bites of her chicken and said "can you taste that"??? my grandson said, yes, it taste like "peanut butter" ??? We didn't eat anymore of our meal. Are you using something different to fix the tenders? It will be a while before we buy anymore tenders then just a couple pieces to try them out. RaeS read more

As a Bellbrook citizen I am a very frequent Dot's visitor. Unfortunately, because I am a minor I experience severe MISTREATMENT by who I presume to be the manager. Every trip I take I am relentlessly followed around. I tend to ignore it, but this time is was impossible to miss. I was with my friends and we went inside once to buy drinks, the 'manager' (i assume) would not stop looking at us. We went to Dairy Shed, a local ice cream shop to by drinks and then we return to the store to buy a savory treat. On our second visit, he claims we cannot have outside beverages or items we've purchased before in the store. 2 of our friends leave, leaving me and my other friend. We couldn't help but notice we were being followed by him, so my friend split up from me to see if he would follow him. He did. He even muttered to himself that it was stupid we split up. My friend didn't have a belt during this visit and his pants were a little saggy, and the manager tells him to pull his pants up "homie" and that the act of not having a belt was disgusting (his word, not mine). We needed a third visit as we had dropped our previous purchase on the ground outside. As the 4 of us now, walk inside he makes an unkind remark about us visiting his store a lot (which i find weird as we are CUSTOMERS), and then he continues to follow us. Our friend once again splits up and we get ON RECORDING that the manager person told an employee to follow him around, and that he was a fast one. We walk around the store more, trying to lose the managers trail as we feel uncomfortable shopping while there's a grown man following us around and shooting daggers at our eyes. He called the cops on us after a while and my friend goes to talk to him, and he tells us we've been in the store SIX times and that we need to leave immediately before the cops show up. We left, and discovered that he said the same thing to multiple other minors just trying to enjoy going downtown. He even accused ONLY our male friend of stealing This store mistreats, follows around, and judges its young customers for the simple reason of being young. We did not do anything read more

Hi! I was delivering for Doordash as a part time job while in medical school. I was given an offer about 10 minutes before close (not knowing it was) on Thanksgiving. When the digital dasher card wasn't working (because it was my first time completing a dual order), I ended up keeping them there longer than expected and past close. Even though I apologized profusely, two individuals made incredibly passive aggressive comments and were very rude. However, I would say props to the teenage girl working there who was super nice. I even used my own money to pay for the order, even though I'm literally in thousands of dollars of student loan debt. I just hope that you guys act slightly less rude to other people shopping there. I stopped in for the second time after work to pick up something for dinner and lunches. Diane was at the deli counter like a bull in a china shop and two young male employees that had no clue what they're doing. I thought I would pick up some broasted chicken for dinner, but everything looked petrified. I asked the one male employee if they would be having fresh chicken soon. He asked Diane and she said "yeah when we sell what's there". I asked for some lunch meat sliced thin and he had no clue what to do at the slicer and there were 4 other people waiting. The other male employee waited on the lady next to me and she encountered the same thing. At that point you would think Diane would step in and help, but no she grabbed her cigarettes and said she was going on break. I was there 20 minutes to get one pound of lunch meat and felt sorry for the young man I had trying to help me. The other one told him to give me everything over the weight I asked for because I could afford it. Diane reappears, looks at the counter and said oh shit I forgot something and left again. I was going to get several other things, but couldn't stomach what this poor soul I had trying to wait on me was going through. It's too bad to have a lound mouth like Diane heading up the deli when it could be so much more. I am still searching for a decent deli that doesn't charge an arm & a leg with trained people that care about customer service. Just an illusion I guess in today's world! read more

Not only do they not clean their carts, no supplies to clean your own. Also saw no cleaning of counters or anything there else to suggest they're taking this seriously. Majority of employees not wearing masks. Deli counter and meat still way above most groceries. Wine selection too. read more

I drop in to this store when I have to pick up a few items or find an item only they seem to carry. Why isn't this store being renovated or brought up to date? It looks like it hasn't been cleaned or repaired in 20 years. Why are the workers in this store so crabby? What's with the bad attitude? Every time I go in there, I think the people behind the deli counter are going to be friendly and pleasant. But I'm wrong. Again. When I get to check-out, the teens are usually polite, but the adults, again, are NOT friendly and NOT cheerful. This grocery store does not offer all the variety of the larger chains but has the overall friendliness that the others can't achieve. Everyone that I interact with have been helpful and there are not many places where they still offer to take your groceries to the car. I don't always come here but stop in from time to time on my way home (other stores are closer to our house). We bought over $120 worth of meat between both markets. Half of it we had to buy at the Dayton/Kettering location because Bellbrook was out. Well, half of the meat went bad, so we went back to the Bellbrook location to try and return it. Mr. Bock (?) apparently the guy that runs the meat department told me it would have to go back to the Dayton location because it's "a money thing". I had both of my kids with me, under four years of age, and apparently the fact that I had already spent half my money there with them made no difference. read more

Dot's Market is an amazing hometown family owned market in downtown Bellbrook. They have been here for decades and I hope to see them still here decades from now. This little place has the most amazing deli/meat department you will find in the Dayton area. They have an on staff butcher that will not only make recommendations but will also cut anything to order. We recently bought a whole tenderloin of the Black Angus and they trimmed and cut it into steaks for us. We were having a late thanksgiving celebration and thinking everyone would be tired of turkey, we went with steaks. I told him I needed 6 roughly 12oz steaks and he could cut the rest the way he saw fit. When he came out and handed me 8 really nice steaks, 2 smaller steaks, and about two pounds of ground beef he made for me from the trimmings, I was blown away. I don't know why I was blown away, thats typical for Dot's. The service is always excellent. This place isnt a huge mega grocer so you aren't going to walk in here and have 52 varieties of one item. We used to live across the street so I did all the grocery shopping here. I told my kids "If Dot's doesn't have it, we don't need it". haha They also have an incredible beer and wine selection. If you are in the Dayton area, give Dot's a try. Even if it's just for some amazing steaks. You will be hooked on that hometown feel and the amazing customer service. I love Dots! read more

The one in g m has good chicken liver so I go into the one in B B and ask for chicken livers ( already cooked) and they act like what the are you talking about.cooked chicken livers ???. Great meat - period. That says it all. You can go there to pick up some odds and ends when you are out, too, but prices can be high if you dont get the sale stuff. The deli counter - terrific. The broasted chicken - great, but stay away from the deli on Sunday right after church; its packed out. They just started carrying a new wine (Gato Negro) thats low priced but very good. I love it. I went there for the first time today and was impressed with their meat selection. I can finally buy a decent steak again. I hated having to go to the Dirty Butt Kroger and pick through their pathetic selections. As soon as I walked in it took me back to being a kid in the 80s with how grocery stores used to be. I just wish fingerling potatoes weren't next to impossible to find in this city. Again, this place is all about the meat. T-Bones for $5.99 a lb. I love this place. It reminds me of grocery shopping when I was little. Nothing has been updated in 20 years which gives it it's charm. Best meat in town and friendly service. Dot's Market in Bellbrook is just the best! The people are friendly and go out of their way to be helpful. The manager has special ordered and stocked different items for me (try getting one of the big chain stores to do that for you!). Their deli is by far the best around! Their broasted chicken is to die for and their ham salad and reuben spread is delicious! Their meat department is unequaled by any of the big box groceries in the area.
