My dad has been coming to location forever! He is 59 now, all the staff are super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. They have a great selection of beers, wines and spirits. If I'm in the area I stop in, my dad still stops in weekly though. I love the 3 dollar wine specials!!!! I totally recommend coming here for all your boozing needs. The great selection of wine and beer alone would earn this place a 4-star review. Unfortunately, the awkward parking lot and stripmall endcap location don't give off the most welcoming vibe. (I'm pretty sure the bum that is hanging out in front of the store is a permanent fixture.) Also, and this is totally a personal thing,... but they don't accept AMEX?! I mean, what quasi-respectable business denies a valid form of payment? When in Elmhurst, there are clearly better options to buy your booze. read more

Never have been in here before. Checked it out..............just to check it out. My favorite beers were not here so I doubt that I will be back. They do have a 6 ft tall plastic Jack Daniels statue (that is worth a star!!). Anyway............when they get Orval or Rochefort Trappiste ales I will be back. I haven't been in Doti's very much, but they have a huge assortment of liquor to fulfill all your drinking needs! I would recommend this place for anyone who wants to try something new. Just came here for an outdoor beer tasting & went inside for a little bit. Its no Binny's due to its limited store size but, nonetheless, its beer selection is above average. Their prices are pretty good. A good portion of their beer is cheaper by at least $1 compared to Binny's or Sam's & I really didn't see stuff that would've cost more here than at those two places either. read more

I always try to opt for the independent, small owned businesses. We went to the annual Doti Beer tasting. They had over 100+ beers and ciders to sample. Tried some really great beer. They are missing a few of my favorites but after the tasting I came away with a few new ones. The event was one of the best tasting I've been to. I occasionally have stopped in Doti Liquors on Friday afternoons for the past few years. Despite the 2 star rating, in the past I would have given a 5+ star. What downgraded the score was Saturday the 15th of June 2019. I was going to get 2 12 packs of Guinness Blonde of which I was always able to purchase . This time they only had the 4 can pack. When I inquired about the 12-pack bottles, it was like I was trying to create a myth. So I selected some other brand & while checking out the younger lady threw out an insult by getting gender identity confused. She corrected herself after I made a comment. But kept this grin showing. Makes a person feeling they're being laughed at or something. When I got out to my car which was parked in view of the window by checkout, the older lady was looking out , like what was she waiting for ? Was I suppose to be doing somersaults or something ? Who knows ! Never experienced anything but great service from this place in the past. read more

Everyone is nice, there is a great selection of booze and there are also some amazing deals! The place is also very clean. They have a kick-ass section of beers! It is BY FAR the best liquor store in the area. All the employees speak perfect English, everything is arranged logically and it doesnt smell like some bad funk like the other locations in the area. I have shopped at Doti's for 3 years cigarettes and lottery every weekend. Purchased all our wine and spirits. Today I finally bought a $500 winning instant ticket. They didn't have the cash to pay out at around noon I was told to come back in 3-4 hours I expressed my disappointment and the returned 4 hours later to be told they had paid a large winner at 1:00. I didn't get it so I waged complaint I was then paid but also accused of using foul language. Something like that is not my style. So disappointed in the accusation . I will never go back! read more

Love Doti's. Attended the recent Beer Tasting event and was completely impressed with the quantity of breweries that attended and the fun atmosphere that George and his staff created. Doti's is great at having new choices highlighted throughout the year, and recommending what you may like, based on your historical favorites. Very convenient on York Road and definitely worth stopping whether a quick pick-up or short browse for something new. Prices are very reasonable. read more
