Tried strawberry lychee, pandan, and black sesame! The order I listed it is the order I'm rating it! The best flavor was the strawberry lychee! You can taste both components. It was refreshing on a hot summer day! Pandan and black sesame are a lot more creamy/ milky. I am a huge black sesame fan and normally would gravitate towards black sesame flavored desserts but I think the pandan was better. The black sesame is very milk forward. To me, it tasted like I was eating solidified condensed milk topped with black sesame seeds. Hopefully this flavor gets improved! Also beware, this ice cream melts extremely fast. So if it's summer, you gotta eat it fast! It was dripping so fast after I got it. If you're craving asian ice cream flavors, give this place a try to support local businesses!

I been meaning to try this place and so happy I have! They have a location off De Zavala closer to UTSA but looks like they have the truck off St. Mary's which is where I went, very small lot so hang in your car and have your treat! I got a matcha and ube scoop. The match a wasn't too sweet so if you want a treat but not too strong, this is a good choice. But my absolute favorite with the ube. It was my first time trying it and it was sweet, rich, and very creamy. As someone who prefers custard, this business along another is my fave ice cream. I can't wait to try the others! Edit: De Zavala no longer exists, they are only located St. Mary's!

So good!!! Definitely my favorite new matcha ice cream in town. The matcha was light and super rich/creamy. Excited to try their other flavors next time. They have pints available at Pullman Market too. There wasn't much parking in the lot where the food truck was but luckily it wasn't busy when we went. The owner was very nice

I do not know which one I liked better, the mango sticky rice or the green Thai tea Oreo. Both are so good, great flavors, not overly sweet. I had a scoop of each and loved every bite. If you need some different flavored ice cream then hit this gem up!

They ran out of matcha by the time we got there. But otherwise, they had the other 5 flavors :) !

Dorp Creamery is a mobile ice cream truck business nestled in the quaint and humble parking lot of a Nama Ramen restaurant, with truly amazing and delicious Asian-inspired ice cream treats :D ! It was actually our second time trying this, since we had first tried this at the "Merry Texmas" Yelp Elite event this past December :) ! We came for my complimentary one scoop of ice cream as a Yelp Elite member, but also to purchase an ice cream cone for my sister and support this business :) ! Since my sister decided to get a 2-scoop waffle cone, I decided to get the same and pay extra for my additional scoop and waffle cone because I figured at that point that I might as well get a 2-scoop waffle cone instead :) ! I'm really glad I did :D ! I got an ube scoop and a pan Dan scoop, whereas my sister got the lychee strawberry and pandan :) We just wish it wasn't so windy because we had to hurry back to sit inside our cars and eat our ice cream! It was also hot outside, and our ice cream started melting fast! Overall, we would definitely support Dorp Creamery :D ! The ice cream is very fresh and rich, and absolutely delicious :D ! The customer service is excellent :) ! Despite the challenges of the extremely windy day, the Dorp employee was very courteous and friendly, and served us very attentively and very well :) ! It makes the most sense that they would serve their ice cream as a mobile truck, which makes it extremely feasible and practical for them to provide catering services for parties and gatherings, in addition to serving customers at many locations :) !

I don't post a lot of ice cream reviews or dessert shops but I couldn't help myself. This place deserved all the raves that I've seen from other posts! The truck is easy to spot from the street. There is a boba place and sushi restaurant in the little strip mall where Dorp Creamery is parked. You're greeted with a warm smile and every flavor is explained so that you can make the right choice or choices (I had to pick two). The truck is very clean inside and orderly which is a bonus for me! I brought my mom along for the experience and it wasn't a disappointment for either of us! My mom got the double scoop of lychee strawberry and pandan, which is comparable to vanilla. I got the double scoop of Ube and black sesame. I still can't believe how wonderful it was. To start, it's visually pleasing because the smoothness of the texture. The weight of the ice cream wasn't dense and with the red cone, the color contrast to the scoops got us excited to try it. The cone had a taste similar to Frosted Flakes and it smelled like a fresh baked donut. The taste was rich, smooth, creamy and delicious. It's not overly sweet and we didn't have any after tastes. The ice cream is so velvety and each flavor paired well with the other. You really can't go wrong with any flavor. There is also a flight of flavors called the bouquet that I plan on trying my next visit! It was absolutely a great start to our evening and the line of customers was steady. People sat around outside on the curb or in their cars to eat it like we did. If they sold the flavors in pints, I would have taken a few home with me!

Dorp is a must try in San Antonio! With rotating Asian flavors, there is always something yummy on the menu. The ice cream is super creamy and flavorful. I tried their newly added Pandan flavor which was a bit sweet for me but still good. My favorite flavor so far has been Black Sesame. The owner is also nice every time! The location is very convenient in the same plaza as Ofuku and Nama Ramen. I highly recommend giving Dorp a try for dessert and I will definitely be coming back to try other flavors.

Dorp Creamery is a hidden gem for ice cream lovers, especially if you're looking for unique, Asian-inspired flavors! I stopped by for the first time, and I was seriously impressed by the creativity and quality of their handmade ice cream. The flavors are bold, well-balanced, and not overly sweet--perfect if you enjoy something different from your usual vanilla and chocolate. I tried Ube and it was chef's kiss! The texture was incredibly smooth and creamy, and you could tell the ingredients were high-quality. welcoming vibe, and the Owner was super friendly, helping me pick a flavor since there were so many great options. If you're into trying new and exciting flavors, this is definitely a must-visit spot. I'll be back to try more! #AsianInspired #HandmadeIceCream #FoodieFinds #SupportLocal

TLDR: Run, don't walk to this place for your next refreshing dessert! Dorp Creamery sells a selection of Asian-inspired batch ice cream from a cool looking mobile cart. It's parked outside Nama Ramen from 4-9pm on Fridays and Saturdays. Service was prompt and friendly, and I loved the selections! These change but today they were: pandan, black sesame, lychee strawberry, matcha, ube, and bouquet (a mix of the aforementioned flavors). I picked the ube, and hands-down this was the best cup of ube I've had - creamy, nutty, and hitting all the right spots. This place scores a 5 out of 5 on the 'CTJ Scale', as noted below. 5 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Jesus good. Would be OK passing away after finishing a plate here. 4 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Mary good. Would be OK having a nosh here with Mother Mary. 3 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Joseph good. Would be OK having a beer here with Jesus' Dad. 2 out of 5 stars: Come-to-the-Apostles good. Meh. Wouldn't have my last supper here. 1 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Nobody good. I wouldn't have my penultimate supper here, either.

Matcha was sooooo good. Quick and easy ice cream. I wish they were closer to Cibolo but I'd drive an hour any day.

This was my first time trying matcha and I'm so glad I choose ice cream ! The flavor of this ice cream is the perfect balance of sweet and earthy flavors! This ice cream is perfect and gives you a refreshing feeling when dealing with the San Antonio heat. The portion size is perfect and the customer service was top tier. I could definitely see myself coming back.

If you're on the hunt for Asian inspired desserts in San Antonio like me, look no further!! Dorp Creamery sells a selection of handcrafted, small batch ice cream from the cutest little mobile cart! They are conveniently parked in the Nama Ramen and Ofuku parking lot for your post dinner dessert cravings. Even though it was awfully chilly today, we couldn't resist trying out Dorp after picking up musubi and onigiri from Ofuku. Dorp periodically changes their selection of ice cream. Today they had 6 options for us to choose from: red bean, black sesame, lychee strawberry, matcha, ube, and bouquet (consisting of 5 of the aforementioned flavors). We got black sesame and lychee strawberry after sampling a couple of flavors. Loved both! I'm excited to return and see what new flavors they have!

We drove from across town, in traffic, to check out this place. I'd do it again! Man, this is some of the best ice cream I've had. Just six flavors to choose from, so I need to get back here about three more times to give a complete flavor review. I had the ube, which was purple, very creamy, and so delicious. I also tried the lychee and strawberry which was very refreshing and amazing. Super nice guy serving out of the little bitty trailer. Prices are kindof steep but well worth the quality. Throw a little chair in the car if you want to sit outside and enjoy this heavenly dessert.

The smiling young woman working behind the ice cream counter offered to give tastes, but I had already figured out which flavors I wanted. I chose two scoops in a cup, one of Cappucino Chip and the other Turtle Cheesecake. They have several tables to sit at, some along a hallway and more in a back room. I took a seat and was in awe of the huge scoops given. The Cappuccino Chip had a mild flavor (I prefer it stronger) but a fair number of tiny chocolate chips. The Turtle Cheesecake had an excellent cheesecake flavor with swirls of caramel, praline pecans, and caramel-filled mini turtles. I'm usually not fond of nuts in my ice cream but I actually enjoyed the pralines. In my humble opinion, there were too few turtles. But I still loved it. If you're in the mood for a cold, creamy treat while visiting the Alamo, you'll find this to be the perfect place to visit.
