From our first meeting, Suzanne was professional, a good listener, and asked the right questions in order to become familiar with my needs and my style. I was very impressed with her portfolio and the work she had done in the past, and decided to hire her for my condo renovation. It was basically a complete interior teardown and rebuild, and she did not disappoint. She assisted me with every phase of the renovation, including working closely with my contractor to make sure that no detail was too small to be overlooked. The finishes she recommended were perfect for the space, and I am thrilled with the completed job. Her assistance and expertise were invaluable to me in turning a drab 1970s condo into a modern, warm space that I am thrilled to call home! I would not hesitate to recommend her services to anyone in need of an excellent interior designer!

She was very easy to consult with-- she instantly understood how we wanted those spaces to feel and made it happen as quickly as possible. She's always accessible and very pleasant to work with. The kitchen, in particular, has turned out so beautifully. She designed a bunch of custom pieces, like wrought iron gates to keep the dogs in, a sculpted hood over the stove, and some hand-carved corbels under the counter tops. She really made the rooms feel luxurious, completely transformed from how they were before. We would recommend her highly to anyone.

At the start of the project, this is compelling. 2) Her design work is professional and she presents attractive options. 3) If you have a budget greater than $100k and have a lot of flexibility on timeline and delivery dates...you should consider her. Cons: 1) She is a bit of a prima donna will be openly annoyed if you ask for any adjustments to her design or furniture recommendations. We asked for designs that were family friendly and she acted like that request was inconvenient to her. She didn't really honor our request and came back with a suggestion that we buy a $7k side-chair made with delicate material. She conducts herself in a way that says "you are lucky that I'm helping you at all" 2) Her business model is super-expensive. Many designers either have an hourly rate and others make their money by keeping their discount % of the furniture costs that the suppliers give to interior designers. Kriste's approach is that she gets both. Buyer beware. Since she get's paid hourly...you will likely get surprised by the invoices and the budget will over-run by 25%-50% or more. 3) If your project is less than $100k, your project will get handed off to her minions. Her team is very junior and doesn't have much experience with project management or client relations. One example is that her team scheduled woodwork to be done after painting....and thus the painting crew had to come back to touch-up wall dings that were made by the woodwork crew. Net:Net - her service doesn't match her price...and her team skills are uneven. Make sure you know exactly who will be working on your project and make sure they honor that commitment.

BEWARE of this business. We are currently taking legal action against Jennifer Bell after she…read morecollected thousands in procurement fees for our full home remodel and then quit the project before completion. We also discovered that flooring we specifically instructed to keep was demolished. When questioned, she claimed it was never in the scope. However, the edit history in our shared Google document showed the item had been removed from the scope after the fact. We also suspect she charged procurement fees beyond the percentage allowed in the contract, which has since been seen by our contractor in regards to our custom cabinets. Unfortunately, this has been a very disappointing experience. I strongly recommend doing thorough due diligence before hiring.

At one of our first meetings Jennifer listened to us and was able to understand our vision to transform our 2001 orange oak builder grade kitchen into our dream kitchen. Throughout the design process she gave us many options to work into our budget. She also helped us transform our entire downstairs including our outdated family room fireplace, staircase and powder bath just to name a few items. Our home is just gorgeous, we love coming home and would have never been able to achieve this transformation without the help of Enotive and Jennifer Bell. We can't wait to have her help us again with future projects.

I had narrowed…read moreit down to a couple but because it was such a big project I wanted help from a professional. She came out and not only confirmed the color that I was leaning towards but also helped to make design decisions I would not have thought about otherwise. For example I have a bluish marble fireplace that did not look fantastic with the main warm color we chose so she suggested to tweak it a bit. Not only does that wall now look great even with the fireplace but it matches all the other walls perfectly. Thank you Tamara for helping us to update our home from yellow to a more neutral color all the while keeping it warm & bright. We are so happy with the results!

The hard part was picking paint colors to accentuate my husband's hard work. We struggled picking colors and found ourselves being "safe" with varying shades of beige. We decided to call Tamara and she helped us get the stand out look we were going for. After visiting our home and taking into consideration the landscaping around our house, the style of the other homes on our Cul-de-sac and even the back drop of Mt Diablo in the far distance behind our house, she selected a pallet of 5 colors for the different trim, doors, eaves, fascia boards, and main color. It looks amazing and we get so many compliments. Tamara helped us find our boldness and bravery in the color selection and we love it! I highly recommend Tamara and look forward to working with her again on other home projects.

We met with Jennifer and she told us about the Hunter Douglas line that she represents. She worked closely with us to select window treatments for our brand new house that wasn't completed yet, which was no easy task since we had to wait for construction to progress to do measurements, etc. Jennifer was easy to work with and we are very happy with our window treatments. We chose wood blinds for our downstairs windows and honeycomb shades for upstairs. This past spring we decided to finally decorate our master bedroom. We contacted Jennifer and she assisted us in decorating our master bedroom, master bathroom, and master closet. The scope of the project included selecting and designing a closet organizer for our large master closet, choosing paint for all of the walls, having custom shelving built in bedroom and bathroom, having crown molding installed, new window treatments including natural woven shades and draperies, new bedding, and various furniture items including an entertainment armoire to hold our flat screen TV, foot stools, a reading chair, a bench for the closet, and various accessories. The project ended up being quite in depth but overall we were impressed with Jennifer's organization skills. At the beginning of the project we discussed our wants and needs for the master suite and she presented us with several options she thought we would like. We selected a scheme and began the project. She sourced a carpenter and painter for us, as well as a professional organizer to design the closet. Jennifer was very good at listening to our ideas and questions and coming back with something she thought we would like. Toward the end of the project there were a couple missteps with items we had ordered (window treatments, some shelves) but she addressed all of our concerns and eventually got the issues resolved. Overall we would recommend Jennifer to anyone who needs a color consultation or some interior decorating work done in their house. She is very pleasant and friendly to work with and seems committed to making her clients happy.
