Dewayne Johnson came for a consultation and made recommendations and gave a quote for all three that made what I expected to be big problems manageable. The work was high quality, on time, and on budget. He was also easy to communicate with, gave good oversight of his subcontractors and left the job site clean at the conclusion. I have a 1950s house and I am glad that I now have a GC with integrity and high quality work that I can work with to make updates as needed going forward. Highly recommend!

I wanted to add French doors to our bonus room to create a home office for my wife. Dewayne came to the house, took measurements, and gave me an honest quote. He mentioned his pricing might be a bit higher, but his work would reflect that--and it absolutely did. He helped me shop for materials, and once the doors arrived, he showed up right on time and got to work. The result was beautiful. He even installed the hardware and doorstops. A few days later (6/8/25), he came back to sand and paint the doors--and they look stunning. My wife was so pleased, she moved in that same day. I'm truly a happy customer. Impressed by his work, I hired him again on 6/10/25 to replace the roof on my front porch. He discovered significant rot, replaced everything, waterproofed the new roof, and cleaned up thoroughly. He even hauled away all the debris. When I noticed a small detail I didn't love, Dewayne listened and fixed it immediately--no hesitation. Dewayne is easy to talk to, highly professional, and clearly cares about making customers happy. I highly recommend him and his team for any home improvement work. I'm already planning the next project--hardwood floors throughout the house. Thank you, Dewayne. Fantastic job!

They showed up on time, were quick and concise about their diagnosis saying that they could get the job done in the next week. The repair itself only took about a 45 minutes which was surprisingly fast considering how he replaced the seal at the bottom of the door, while reasembling it! Hector also pointed out a couple other issues that I didn't know about like how the tenant reset the garage opener. For the quality of their work and inexpensive pricing, I would definitely recommend Hector and Laura to anyone needing garage repairs! One thing to note is they do not accept card and payment is due upon the completion of the repairs.

My husband and I hired Alpha & Omega Construction for several projects over the course of about a…read moreyear after meeting with and getting bids from multiple contractors. We initially hired them for a bathroom remodel, followed by a single-floor bedroom addition and new Trex decking. As the work progressed, we also added several smaller projects, including cutting in and framing a new window, framing an interior hallway door, and building a side gate. Overall, we're very happy with their work. The addition, in particular, turned out beautifully and fits naturally with the rest of the house. Because the projects were completed in phases, the overall timeline was longer than we initially expected, though not necessarily due to Alpha & Omega. Hilder coordinated the projects and was easy to reach, providing clear, daily updates about what to expect. Antonio served as the on-site lead, and he and his crew were friendly, accommodating, and respectful of our space, especially since we were living in the home during construction. We are detail-oriented and made some design changes along the way, and they were flexible and willing to work with our architect on plan and permit updates as needed. Pricing was transparent and reasonable. We would definitely hire them again.

I hired Alpha & Omega to build a gate at the front of our property. I quoted the job out and most-other folks were several multiples higher on the quote, such that, honestly, I questioned Alpha & Omega's ability to do a good job at what they were quoting me. They proved me wrong. They built a big, strong, attractive, heavy gate, wherein the hardware is installed straight and flush, everything is square - it looks and works great. Not the hardest job in the world, but that is the point: they did a relatively straightforward job well and at a reasonable price. Where Alpha and Omega set themselves apart though, for me, is when some issues arose after substantial completion - namely the inability of the gate to stay open with wind and the like because it is so large. When these issues arose, both Hilder, the owner I believe, and Antonio, who did the work primarily, were friendly, persistent and creative in their approach to solving the problem. They offered a warranty on the gate at the time of build, and came out, no questions asked, at least 3-4 times to troubleshoot and implement new solutions. Antonio came out on a Sunday to try to make things right actually. While one could say, or argue, that a 'better' outfit would have done the job right the first time, the reality is that there are very often issues regardless, and I believe you find out a lot about a company based on how they respond to those issues. I can tell that Alpha and Omega is out there doing their thing, trying to build a business. I was disheartened to come here and see they do not have great reviews. Provided you give these guys projects that are appropriate for their skill sets, and you are open to the possibility that there could be some issues to navigate, whether language issues up front, or maybe small issues after the fact to address, you will do fine here. Again, the most important thing is that these are guys who will stand behind their work. Would hire again and would recommend.

Update: We have hired Daniel from UNB for multilpe of our jobs from flooring replacement, painting,…read morewood slat installation, bathroom remodel/tile work; and he consistently delivers amazing quality. My original review is below: We hired Unique Northwest Building for carpentry and drywall work to upgrade the interior design of our home. We installed some wooden slats and installed a new door. It's very rare to find contractors who go above and beyond and Daniel from Unique Northwest was one. We are extremely pleased with Daniel's work (refer to photos). While the photos speak for themselves, for those interested in learning more about our experience, read further. From the get-go, we were very pleased with Daniel's responsiveness. Due to Covid and some logistical issues on our end, our request was conducted via phones and photos. Daniel was prompt, communicative and addressed our concerns. We were concerned about project scope as we couldn't conduct an in home visit (again, due to an issue on our side), however, Daniel had scoped it correctly and there were no last minute bait and switches in pricing, which we appreciate a lot. During the job, Daniel went to great pains to understand the details of our requirements and did a walk through the house to made sure he had got it all right. On the job, he was quick on his feet, yet thorough and precise in his woodwork. When necessary, he went by himself to procure the wood and other materials we needed and ensured he had it all right. If there were any issues he found while doing the woodwork, he would let us know immediately to confirm his proposal, and we mostly deferred to his expertise - which he had in plenty. In three days, he transformed our house from a mediocre place to a gorgeous layout. We had some other minor issues that needed fixing in the house (fixing some plumbing), which Daniel took care quickly as well. He had to come for an extra half day to finish some paint work as it needed time to dry, which he did meticulously again. We are extremely pleased with our result, and all of our friends have loved the new design. I would 100% recommend Unique Northwest Building and Daniel for any of my contracting work and would definitely hire him again. Thank you again Daniel was doing a fantastic job!

I had a specific budget and design (marble white themed) in mind and Daniel was able to meet all these and exceeded our expectations. His communication is very prompt, accurate, complete and he provided insights and recommendations that I appreciate along the way. Our home remodel took over 2 months to complete and he single handedly did most of the work, and only subcontracted the electrician, plumbing, and custom glass shower door. He came to our house on time and worked on the rooms sequentially. He left the work in progress rooms and our house organized and clean all the time. He worked on a few weekends to ensure the project ended on time, and this was also because I added scope along the way. We were very impressed with his professionalism, patience, and his attention to detail, that even there are areas that I didn't plan for him to address, he took the initiative to address it to make the look complete and right. I would highly recommend Daniel to anyone looking for the best value and quality work for their home. Many people have who have seen the remodel can't stop complimenting and have been asking for his info for their next home project. I won't be surprised if his schedule gets booked quickly!
