They have you fill out a lengthy form disclosing all sorts of personal information from your SS# to your drivers licence # that information in the wrong hands could be devastating. I simply wrote incorrect numbers as I was paying for services in full, they must get stiffed here often. The waiting room may be occupied by aggressive dogs with questionable owners handling them, staff needs to manage this area better. I think muzzles should be required or keep your dog in the car until the animal is ready to be seen. The owner and lead vet here Dr.Paul Sova Sr. has done some very charitable work, his kindness has saved unwanted and abused animals from the Paterson area and this man should be commended for his compassion and service to the community, so A-OK

Our main goals were to address poor manners when people came over (jumping/barking), poor leash manners (pulling/leading the walk/leash aggression for one of them), and all around general behavior training. We wanted, and needed, help to rectify these things before our son became truly mobile. We emailed Pat on a Friday night and he called the next day. We spoke for over an hour and he reassured us that things would be okay. We scheduled a training session for later that week and haven't looked back. He is an incredible teacher; he took the time to learn about our dogs, our family dynamic, and what our hopes were for the training sessions. He began teaching us right away and showed us how to get into the minds of our dogs. We are five sessions in and there has been such a vast improvement already. We are currently working on walking both dogs and pushing the stroller - a dream of mine - that is soon to be a reality. We genuinely look forward to each session and getting to hang with Pat. Our pack was definitely out of whack but Pat has been instrumental in teaching us how to teach our dogs and reframe our thinking. If you are looking for a no BS, honest, caring trainer/behaviorist, and you are willing to trust someone, and put in the time and work, look no further - he is definitely your guy. The appointment was very easy to make and the lady was accommodative with my schedule. The ladies at this grooming place are the sweetest, so gentle, patient and great with dogs. I loved their demeanor and professionalism. My pup came back clean, smelling and looking like a million bucks with his bandana and holiday treats. Definitely coming back here for his next bath!

We have learned so much from her especially since we are first time dog owners. Kirby, our puppy, loves going to the classes and loves Amparo too. Definitely take your pup to classes with her. Amparo is professional, friendly, understanding and kind. The store itself is always clean, neat and does not smell bad. Employees there are friendly and it's evident they love animals. We usually do a little shopping after Kirby has his class there. All in all, a good shopping experience.

I was dropping off donations and when I arrived Sammi the Black one was so excited waiting at the entrance. I had just unexpectedly lost one and just needed a little time. I was leaving for Scotland and thought if she's still there, it's meant to be. Well! She was ! I took her right home. She had been surrendered to a high kill shelter and rescued by start II from there , so I knew that was already her name. She's been with about a year now and had fit in perfectly with my other rescues. This rescue is my go too, number one without question. Thank you to all the volunteers, your hard work does not go unnoticed!!!! The blond next to her only came here, because he had terrible anxiety issues and he is so perfect now. Just time and patience. Thanks to you all!

She is always crying the blues for donations and no one can figure out where all the money is going because the place is a mess. She gets the newspapers to write false information that makes the community think they are in dyer need and then people send money. Its despicable. The room they used the adopt out of in the Petsmart in Wayne got shut down by the board of health because the conditions were so bad. She has been supporting a cat hoarder for years and years who has more than 50 cats in her tiny apt . She gives her food and litter and they are living on top of each other in a small space. someone should shut this down. The poor cats. Don't support this shelter. It's not on the up and up.

I was impressed enough to bring her back for her first real grooming since she was like 5 months old. I usually just ask her daycare to give her a bath but they don't really 'groom'. We did the regular wash, which including a wash/dry, nails, deshedding and sanitary trim which she has never had! They did such a great job and only took like 1hr, and she was fully dry! They did a great job on deshedding and the trim! Her booty area looks so prim & proper. I also love how they trim the hair around her paws. I also love to support a small, female owned business.
