Kids being entertained by the magician Doodad.

Contacted Doodad in the last minute for our triplets birthday pool party as a back up for the unexpected windy weather conditions. We did face painting, balloons and a magic show. He definitely did not disappoint and kept all 20 of the children entertained! Highly recommend.

He was absolutely amazing during my sons birthday . All kids were entertained and he added a lot of comedy

Mr. Doodad was great!! From the beginning, he was very professional and responded within a few hours each time I had a question. We communicated through email and he was very patient and informative. I decided to go with magic show and face painting for my son's 1st year bday party. Let me just say, it was hilarious. He kept the kids AND adults entertained!! Everyone was laughing. It takes a special skill to hold the attention of kids and Doodad did a great job doing that. He does have the birthday person come up and participate in his acts, but my son is too young, so his cousin went up to represent him. Lol. I will definitely recommend him and would love to have him again for another bday party when my son is older. The face paint artist was great and the kids were happy with their paintings. Overall, I'm very happy and satisfied with picking Mr. Doodad as the entertainment for the party. You won't regret it either. Two thumbs up!!

If I could give Scott 100 stars out of 5, I would! He was fantastic! I booked him a few months out for my son's 8th birthday party knowing that he would probably be in high demand for the month of December. He was super responsive and easy to communicate and work with. He arrived at the party with perfect timing. His show was hilarious and beyond entertaining. The kids loved him and the grown ups may have loved him even more. It was almost an hour of non stop laughter! He played off the kids and their personalities perfectly. He is also so quick and efficient with the balloon animals. Everything was perfect and the party was a huge success, in large part thanks to Scott! My son can't stop talking about the awesome magician that came to his party! Thanks, Scott!

What a wonderful a show! We had seen this magic act before at another birthday party and my daughter just had to have him at hers. He also was able to bring Mrs. Claus to face paint (which she was fabulous) and he even made Santa appear at the end of our Christmas themed party. Easy to work with and all the kids were thrilled!!

No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't stop wondering how he was doing any of it. Mat Franco is probably best known for winning Season 9 of America's Got Talent and now performs his residency, Magic Reinvented Nightly, at The LINQ in Las Vegas. I don't want to say too much because part of the fun is experiencing it for yourself. What I loved most was how much he interacted with the audience. It didn't feel like he was just performing at the crowd. He involved people throughout the show and made the entire room feel part of the experience. Every time I thought I had something figured out, another trick would happen and completely change my mind. Seeing magic on TV is one thing, but seeing it happen right in front of you is mind-blowing. If you've ever been curious about magic or wanted to see a Vegas show that's different from the typical concerts and productions, I would definitely recommend this one. I left amazed and still thinking about some of the tricks afterward.

I couldn't believe that they made such nice accommodations for us! Mat Franco is very engaging and very family oriented. We enjoyed his magic show, which is family friendly. You could hear the kids let out oooohs and aaaahs throughout the show. We highly recommend this very entertaining show.

As MOH, I planned the party and spent a lottt of time going through reviews on Yelp and Reddit bc there was a lot of pressure to find the best option and decide for the group. Many reviews of the bigger shows said the performers had been doing it for so long that they looked like they were just going through the motions.. that the acts were unimpressive.. that the theater was so big you could only see the tricks on a screen, or that it was overpriced. After all my research, I'm SO glad I decided on Frederic -- the bride said this magic show was her favorite part of the trip!! (and we went to Tao dayclub the day before lol) :) I love that it was in a small, intimate theater, so that you were up close no matter where you sat. And there was SO much audience interaction -- our bride even caught a frisbee and got to go on stage -- which was fun and helped make it even more special for her. The mentalism was such a cool departure from traditional physical magic tricks -- we all loved it and had many *gasp* moments. We even got to meet Frederic after, and he performed more mentalism up close, which was cool. HIGHLY recommend this show!! (Also, it was $30/ticket, which is a price you cannot beat in Vegas)

One of my favorites was with the cards at our seats. I'm fairly certain I did everything of my own volition in my seat all the way back towards the exit so I was as shocked as everybody around me when the trick worked. I wasn't sure what to make of Shin Lim's way of speaking but his delivery was perfect for his sense of humor. Shin navigates each situation with self-deprecating and effortless retorts without sounding rehearsed. One of my favorite comments was a quiet "that's why we're here" when a participant back turned to the audience after asking if what she was doing was for the trick. The show is located in Palazzo, a short walk if one accidentally shuttles to the Venetian, but it would be better if you just go straight to the Palazzo. A fantastic show with fantastic sleight of hand. Would watch again!

Before the show someone from the back comes out and picks certain people who will be called on during the show. For Stuart McLeod, a very funny guy but a definitely scripted performance with the audience members he picks on. A staff member came out and talked to two people sitting behind us and we listened very closely as they were told that they would be chosen, the question they are going to be asked and what their response should be. Stuart throws two frisbees out to the audience and it's supposed to be random however, two kids were picked. One boy caught the frisbee and Stuart asked him to give it to the girl behind him which he did. Then Stuart asked her to pick a number between 25 and 100 and told her NOT to pick 67 but of course she did which went along with the number writing skit he did. Obviously it was not random but staged for the trick to work. Shin Lim, WOW!!! He had practiced long and hard to perfect his craft and he is amazing. Many tricks are easy to figure out as you can see how it comes to fruition. Tables are used through his act and most have a hidden area for him to grab things from underneath. Even though you can see his sleight of hand preparing to make the illusion happen, he is an amazing magician. Some tricks will leave you stunned and the audience members he picks I did not see them being prepped before the show so I believe they were unknown and saw the magic close up. Shin Lim is an amazing magician as I said and it's no wonder why he won AGT twice, FISM and is now in Vegas. He is a Vegas show worth going to and more than once, just a very cool experience. His wife is a part of the show, she does magic tricks as well which shows how talented she is as well as a trapeze ring act. She was really good and I only wish she would have been performed a little longer. Shin Lim had Mackenzie Sol who was in the top 24 of American Idol come out and sign some during his magic acts, Magic to Music. Mackenzie is a very good singer and it gelled well with the show. I would go see the show again as it was very entertaining. It started on time unlike most other Vegas shows and was an amazing 90 minute show worth seeing. I highly recommend this show. Yes you can figure out some of the magic being done if you watch closely, but the amount of prep and practice that Shin Lim has had to endure to perfect his craft, he is worth supporting. A very entertaining show! Go see Shin Lim and support him, he is one of the best shows I've seen recently.

I am confident that my wallet was left in the showroom area and would have likely been found during the post-show cleaning process. However, despite multiple attempts to contact the venue and follow up with lost and found, I was repeatedly told that no wallet had been turned in. This wallet had several hundred dollars. Losing a wallet is stressful enough, especially when it contains important items like a driver's license, bank cards, and cash. What was most frustrating was the lack of resolution and the feeling that there was little accountability for property left behind by guests. While I cannot say with certainty what happened to my wallet, the circumstances left me questioning how lost items are handled after a show. I expected a more thorough investigation and better communication throughout the process. I need cameras to be checked because it's not like I lost a wallet with $20 , whoop de doo. I think if any employee found a wallet with this much cash, who knows what they would do if found. Would they turn it in? Who knows. If they reviewed camera and confirmed a guest picked it up then okay but prove me wrong. I hope management reviews its lost-and-found procedures to ensure guests can have confidence that valuable belongings will be properly safeguarded and returned when found. I've been working with Harvey in Security and I'm very happy with my conversation I had with him yesterday. I hope to see progress. I'm willing to update my review upon investigation completion.

A majority of the acts require a long set up of Penn explaining things and doing a bit of comedy. Almost every single act involves some sort of audience participation which is pretty cool. What Penn says is that they are magicians who don't do illusions so their whole value proposition is generally old school, classic magic involving a deck of cards. Their act is absolutely superb and will leave you guessing how they even pull off their magic. The Cadillac and the UFO are big, solid illusions and not nearly as obvious as the classic "disappear on stage" routine. In this case, the magician vanishes, then slowly shuffles along the second-level seating wall like a 70-year-old man heading for a walker, climbs into a box, and magically "reappears." The problem is timing. The walk takes so long you could go to Excalibur, order a venti latte, and still be back before he pops out on the box. The hairpiece deserves its own mention. The color is so unnatural it's distracting. You spend half the time wondering who thought that shade was a good idea. The show itself feels lifeless. Add to that the constant surveillance by ushers and security making sure nobody even thinks about touching their phone, and the whole experience starts to feel less like a theater and more like Alcatraz back when it was still a prison. I always thought "Criss Angel at the Luxor" was the worst show I'd ever seen in Las Vegas. Turns out he now has real competition. At this point, you can choose between Copperfield, Criss Angel, or Frank Marino and waste your money in three different ways if you wish... (Marino made the money from the Make a Wish fundation disappear.. thats more magic then copperfield delivered) By the end, the only real question left is whether this is about money or ego. Sometimes it's better to stop while you're still on a high. Again, two of the tricks are big and impressive. Everything else is a tired collection of illusions I've seen dozens of times, wrapped in a cheesy alien storyline that goes nowhere. The theater itself is old and outdated, classic "Las Vegas seating." At least there's no pushy cocktail service knocking over your knees with overpriced drinks. Still, for a Sunday night, roughly 150 people in the house didn't help the mood at all. Save your money. Vegas has enough bad shows already.

The guy with a mask was super awesome and hilarious!! lol Whenever I have friends or family in town I'm always going to take them to this show. I really wanted to take a picture with Xavier and Bell. But next time I will for sure that I am now a big fan.

This is definitely a general audience show without it being too toned down that it turns into a strictly children's show. I will say that at it's current location at the Strat, I'd suggest buying seats that are further away from the stage if you don't want the tricks spoiled for you. My husband and I were seated next to the stage (stage left) and unfortunately could see how many of the tricks were done because of how close our seats were to the performance. (Ex: one of the fabric backdrops has a secret opening that up close, is visibly more dirty than the rest of the backdrop.) On the flip side, if you want to see how the tricks are done, get the VIP seats next to the stage. I won't spoil it by explaining which tricks get spoiled, but you'll see at least 4-5. My husband and I still had a good time but I think I'd enjoy it more if the tricks were still a mystery.
