The cashier lady suggested I look in there clearance basket and I found a lemon iced scone. (The people who work here are a really cool, trendy, bohemian and eclectic bunch. I love their style and how chill and nice they are. I've heard stories around the neighborhood that they feed homeless people 1 free bread item a day.) Anyways I tried the lemon scone and I loved the buttery taste and the sweet lemon icing on it. Since I was a new customer they gave me a bonus fresh raisin loaf of bread. When I split this bread in half it was so epically fluffy and soft. It's got to easily be some of the best bread I've ever had. I definitely recommend this place for all your bakery needs. I can't wait to try some of their desserts as well.

It's a small-batch artisan bakery produces old-world style bread and bakery products baked fresh daily on a wood-fired brick oven. I haven't tried their breads yet but it's made with wild yeast (traditional sourdough leaven) and has no additives or preservatives. Baguettes and sour doughs adorn this place. Croissants will be coming soon but aren't on the menu at the moment. They sell cookies, scones, danishes, tortes, whole cakes can be ordered and even sandwiches to go. The shop is tiny but beautiful - I'm a sucker for bakeries. Now I will warn you that the prices are kinda steep compared to other bakeries around the city (at least for the items I purchased). I was very intrigued by their heavy cream dark chocolate scone that went for a whopping $4.25 - yes, that's for one normal sized scone. Now, I was hoping to hate it since it was so pricey but it was really delicious. The dark chocolate did not overwhelm the scone. The scone had a lovely taste and was at the perfect moisture level. It was really good but that price is hard to justify for me. Also tried a peach danish with some custard filling for $5 - this was not a flakey danish but more like a soft bread bun style, which I liked but my sister preferred a more flakey danish. The filling was very well balanced and not overly sweet but once again at $5, it was a bit steep. They sell a variety of cookies and the one that caught my attention was the milk chocolate chip cookie with pretzels and potato chips ($1.75 each). This was a soft but dense cookie that was sweet from the milk chocolate and while I didn't get a lot of pretzel and chips, the latter items provided a bit of texture to the typical cookie. Service is incredibly friendly here and despite the higher than expected prices I will be visiting them again and trying other items. It's a quality product and everything I tasted was good. They are open Wed-Fri 10 am- 6 pm and Sat 9 am- 5 pm.

I think she prefers the regulars who just come in, select their items quickly, pay and leave! I won't deduct stars against her less than warm reception because I enjoyed their pastries. I've had their water bread at O Tacho, across the street - it's a nice bread, with a chewier exterior. Their kaiser buns comes in packages of 6 and 12; a package of 6 is $1.30. The buns have a very flaky exterior and leave a ton of crumbs everywhere when you start eating it - not my fav. The turnovers (comes in apple and cherry) are HUGE ($1.25 each). I chose the apple turnover and I really enjoyed it since it wasn't overly sweet like the typical turnover. The egg or custard tarts are sold in a larger size if you want to buy in bulk but they are also sold prepackaged 6 smaller portions for $5.50. They're not the prettiest looking tarts since there's some caramelized spots on the custard (it looks burnt but it's not). The tarts remind me of creme brulee that's been encased in a tougher pastry shell - it's a sweet little treat that's worth trying! They are open 7 am to 5:30 pm Monday through Saturday, closed on Sundays. It's old school so no debit or credit, just plain ol' deniro is accepted.

I always want to try the Ube croissant one but it's always sold out. Try to get to this store early so you can pick your items before others do. The croissant with the cheesy corn filling is delicious! I had the chance to eat this when I first visited. The second time I ate here I tried the chocolate Danish and it was excellent as well. My favourite drink here is the canned Kombucha. The brand name is Prism Kombucha. It is a bit bubbly but not too much. My stomach seems to like it. There is not a lot of seats available here, the ambiance is average.

The second time I stopped in here it was earlier in the day and they had a lot more variations and types of doughnuts. I even got to order a very tasty and warm rose tea with milk per instructions because I like tea with milk. The Eggnog flavoured doughnut was yummy and the vanilla cranberry doughnut was also very delightful.

My usual go-to is their everything bagel doughnut, which I highly recommend. However today, I wanted to try their maple crueller and also ended up getting their crOHnut for the very first time. The maple crueller was soft and eggy, and the crOHnut was equally as soft and airy on the inside, tasting both sweet and salty. The crOHnuts are only available from Thurs-Sat. And the doughnut flavours usually changes daily so the best way to find out what flavours they have that day is by checking out their Instagram posts.
