Brian, the owner, was so helpful in listening to exactly what I needed. Although he didn't have any succulents in stock yet, he promised to call me as soon as he got some in. And man, did he deliver! The succulents he brought into the shop were the healthiest, brightest, most beautiful ones I had ever seen (even after living in California)! Not only was the quality better than the succulent selection at Lowe's, Home Depot, and local nurseries, the PRICE was so good! My grandmother loved birds and butterflies. I chose this design and they added birds and butterflies. We were very pleased with the arrangement. It was beautiful and I felt we got our money's worth. Since I had called several other local garden centers, I asked if he was sure. Dennis said that he has both plants and they would be located by the barn when my husband and I came in. I called on Saturday and spoke with Diane and apprised her of the situation. I told her that my husband and I would not be able to come in until Sunday and if they would hold the plants for us. Diane took my name and phone number and said that she would speak to Dennis and if there was a problem, she would call me back. Since I didn't hear from her, I thought that the plants were held and put aside. On Sunday, in 93 degree heat and high humidity, we looked near the barn to pick up our plants. Then I went in the store and asked the man behind the counter if they had plants held with my name. He had no clue! I asked to see Dennis or Diane and was told that both are off on Sunday. I was livid! Here I was told that they had the specific plants that I had been seeking, and then we couldn't locate them. We checked every greenhouse and table and could not find either of them! I called today and asked to speak with Dennis or Diane. Of course neither of them are working today! Then I asked if either of them was the owner and was told no. Then I asked who is the owner and who is in charge? The woman said that no one was in charge at the moment. This gave me no recourse, but to write a review of the situation in order to prevent this from happening to anyone else! Their prices are inflated and they don't tell the truth, but just want to get you in the garden center and hope that you'll spend a lot of money! I will never go there again!

The staff are consistently kind and helpful--even during the peak of summer when the shop is packed with young seasonal workers who are clearly well-trained in customer support. Walking through the Flower Station in early spring feels more like exploring an arboretum than a store. The uneven, curvy paths are so inviting that I often find myself walking the loop several times just to take it all in. On my last visit, I had a "5+ star" experience. Only Paul and the owner, Kevin, were there, and both were incredibly heartfelt, knowledgeable, and supportive. This is the place to go for affordable, high-quality, (watered!) plants. While you might not find the rarest or most exotic species, everything I have ever bought here has stayed healthy and thrived. Between the fair pricing and their generous policy of sending gift cards for your next purchase, it's a total win. At Flower Station, you can only gain, grow, and save.

Better known as Bridge's to the locals, this is a seasonal outdoor nursery which is open Spring throughout the Fall. I have numerous nurseries in my area and feel compelled to divide my business between them, since they are all family owned and they all offer a nice selection of quality grown plants, shrubs and trees, plus very friendly service. Some offer more in the way of ornamental plants, larger hanging baskets and lawn decorations. Bridge's also supports the local farmers by selling their corn and some other produce for them. We have a squirrel feeder and we try to keep it full at all times so they leave the birds food alone. At the end of the Fall season they allow hubby to come down and pick all the leftover corn from the unsold stalks. I have been slowly cleaning out my flower beds and I love to plant mums here and there for the season. This is the second generation of running this business and they have grown to provide more and more services. They now deliver truckloads of varied mulch or stone at a reasonable price. I like to buy my mums here because they are field grown, they often will come back the next year because they have good strong roots, plus I am then supporting the farmer's and Bridge's. I decorate everything all year long and if you stand still long enough, I will decorate you too, just ask hubby.
