After I took Ginger I wasn't pleased with the vet and her team. The cost of the visit was more than Keystone Veterinary Services. I was pleased with our first visit at Keystone Vet. I regret that I took Ginger for one visit at the vet that I was told cost less. I will pay whatever amount it takes for the best quality care for Ginger. They called in the morning just like they said they would and confirmed a 9:30 am arrival. I sat at my desk and looked out my window until 11:45 for them to pull into my driveway. I was in contact with the office during my wait, but the girl there had no idea where they were or why they were so late to the point that we all became worried that maybe something bad had actually happened. All along, I'm distraught because I'm about to end my sweet pug's life who I've had since she was 8 weeks old. That alone was hard enough. So they finally arrive. I meet them on the porch with puffy eyes and snotty tissues in my hand due to the nature of things only to be greeted with silence and smug faces. No apology for making me wait for 2+ hours without explanation. So I say, Hi and invite the two ladies into my home. Still no words so I'm forced to ask which one is the Dr. They didn't even introduce themselves. Here I am entrusting them with something so precious and this is happening. Still, I trusted they would be good to my pug and do their job well for her, which they did for the most part. Ultimately, all I really cared about at the time was that my little old girl go peacefully and without discomfort...although she definitely did not like the first needle going into her paw. :( I do not know why those ladies arrived with such a chip on their shoulder or didn't feel the need to offer an apology for making me wait so long not knowing if they'd EVER show up, but it was really terrible considering the reason they were there in the first place. So much so that I felt compelled to write this review. For what it's worth to anyone who takes the time to read it.

Let's not even get started on how hard it is to get an emergency appointment! Sure there are 24 hour emergency vets, but those are also exorbitantly expensive. UrgiPet is the perfect middle ground. You can schedule an appointment if you know your pet needs an update on their shots or walk in if your dog has been acting weird or is sick. There's a $40 fee to be seen no matter what, but that's about 1/3 of the price you'd be anywhere else for a walk-in. The staff is incredibly caring and so responsive. I am moving away and I'm hoping to find a vet that I will like as much as Urgipet.

When I called now, spoke to co-owner who admitted that 1 looked "iffy" then they should have euthanized like I asked. Don't waste your time here. Go to Dr Volk or Latrobe Animal Clinic.
