There is absolutely nothing like these classes around. My kids have not only an appreciation for music but it has given them confidence I never had at that age and I really owe it to the tiny tunes programs. The times of classes are super accommodating to our busy schedule and 3 kids that are all over the place with school and activities. I can't praise the staff highly enough. Cheryl is one of the friendliest, most energetic, positive people I have ever met and her enthusiasm really builds her dancers' confidence and self image. She offers a wide range of classes from ages three through adult and has competition teams for girls aged eight and up that travel locally in the spring to compete. She offers tap, ballet, pointe, lyrical, jazz, hip hop and even a boys funk class. In June they put on a magnificent recital in downtown Melrose. Tuition is extremely reasonable (about $8-$10 per class) and she rarely raises her prices. If you are looking for a low-pressure, fun, neighborhood dance school, this is it!

This school has so many station areas set up for play/learn it's really cool and encourages the kids to be creative. There's almost always music playing and my toddler would be humming these cute songs to himself whether it was in the car or walking down the street holding my hand and I knew exactly where he learned them. We now play similar music in our own home and in the car all the time and sing songs with him. The teachers are so caring and are really personable. They truly care about each and every child as if their own. They provide a "progress report" to show how your child is doing every few months which is great to see how your child is learning and understanding. Both of my children have gone to RTB since they were 4 months old and I attribute a great deal of their physical and emotional development to Carolyn, Alisha and the other teachers there. The size is perfect for more individual attention to each child and I have never felt like either of my kids was "just a number." I feel like Carolyn and Alisha truly care for each child and they are like an extension of our family. Their communication with families is amazing! It is difficult to be a full time working parent but I find so much comfort in knowing my kids are well taken care of and are developing and learning so much from RTB each day they are there. I would recommend RTB to anyone looking for truly compassionate, high quality childcare in the area without any reservations!

Checked out a few in town but I liked the non competitive atmosphere here. Jane (the owner) is the most personable manager you'd ever want to meet. The motto is that everyone is a star (and at the end of the year everyone gets a medal). Some kids do get trophies but not for competition reasons. They have programs for all level kids and everyone regardless of age, ambition, ability or socioeconomic level is treated equally. My daughter has been in intensive ballet for four years now and is in her second year of toe. She's given the drive and push she needs to succeed without creating an environment similar to certain reality show nightmares. She's worked her way onto performance team. It's something she's wanted since 2nd grade and she's happiest when she's there. She's just finished her second year on team. She is happiest when she's with her PT gang. If you want your child to enjoy himself/herself I suggest you go there. Everyone is equal and Jane and her daughter Meghan are available almost 24/7 via phone, email, txt, FB chat -- the only thing I haven't personally tried is FaceTime but I suspect if I needed to they'd make it happen (everyone deserves some down time). These ladies truly care about the whole student. What matters is that the focus isn't solely on how they dance. Taking the personal feelings of each student into account is part of the corner stone of what they hold near & dear to their teaching philosophy. Ms. Katelyn McMahon, the director of the ballet program, is very knowledgable and trustworthy. She is hard on her students but truly wants the best for them, and pushes them to succeed. Not only is she an outstanding ballet teacher she is also incredibly knowledgable about dance related injuries and physical therapy. I can not stress enough how much of an amazing person and teacher she is. She truly goes above and beyond. Jane, the owner, and her daughter Meghan, an assistant director, know each student individually and always makes sure all students feel welcome. I would feel comfortable talking to them about dance and non-dance related issues. Overall, after attending another dance school for a few years where I felt unwanted, I feel truly blessed to have come across CPA, when I was looking for a new dance school. The ballet intensive program is truly an intensive, complete with levels, auditions, end of year evaulations and teacher/parent conferences. I would highly recommend CPA to anyone, no matter what level or age. Truly an amazing, welcoming enviorment with highly qualified teachers and outstanding dance training.

I needed assistance finding the appropriate shoes for my daughter, and no one made an effort to help us. Even more disappointing, my daughter was not given the opportunity to participate, and the entire situation felt awkward and isolating. When you bring a child into a dance studio, especially when they are new, you expect the adults running the program to make the child feel included and help the parent understand what is needed. Regardless of any personal dynamics between adults, children should always be made to feel welcome and included. Unfortunately, that was not our experience here. We left feeling uncomfortable and disappointed, and I will not be returning with my daughter.
