I'm still on cloud nine after almost 2 weeks of getting my hair done here. I've been trying , for the last few years to find my go-to salon to get my hair colored and done. My last person's salon closed in NYC and haven't been able to find one that could even come close for years! I am glad to say that Donna Pascoe Salon has made me finally stop looking. From the moment I stepped in I had a good feeling. Everyone was super friendly, engaging and helpful. My hair is naturally dark and I've been told from other salons (abrasively at times) that I wouldn't be able to lighten my hair. Donna knew exact what I wanted and discussed with me what she needs to do and recommend for me to get where I wanted in color. She was patient and a perfectionist (great thing!) and wanted to ensure that everything was done right and to what I was looking for. Beyond frustrated! Was referred to this Salon to have my 17 year old son's hair straightened. I was not with my son when he first arrived but did speak directly to the stylist over the phone. I asked the stylist to please manage his expectations and he assured both if us he saw no reason why the treatment would not work. I was never told that the treatment would have to be done outside, in the middle of summer, in the humidity of South Florida, ( I saw them both outside when I arrived one hour later) nor that it may or may not work due to the texture of his hair. What I was told was that it would cost $250, but when I went to pay I was charged $50.00 more, due to how much more product they needed to use. 5 days later he went back for a wash and cut and not only did it not take, but they cut his hair for a straight haircut style. Disaster. Spoke to Donna and she apologized and promised to cut his hair for free once it grew back to a manageable length. After waiting over a month, 30 minutes before the appointment the salon contacted us that they needed to push my son's appointment to 90 minutes later, Donna was running behind. When I began to freak out Donna got on the phone and told me "In a business...things happen". Yes they do. Agreed. But what does not happen is blowing off a client who for the most part was pretty patient through the first epic fail, only to make them feel like they are in the wrong for being mad their appointment was being cancelled, if we could not wait the 90 minutes. She explained she wanted to be able to take her time and really give him a good experience, which I told her I could totally appreciate, but it should be at the time we made the appointment, not 90 minutes later when we were not able to come in. Shame on you for not keeping your promise and turning this into a very unpleasant experience for all parties involved. read more

I was very lucky to be introduced to Francesco, he's a very talented, patient and genuine hairstylist. I'm in the process of growing out layers. I have mid-longer length hair; no color. I provided clear reference of my own previous style to which I wish to return in addition to other pix. I left with more layers and hacked, staticky, hair. It had been 3 months since my last fabulous cut (my stylist was out sick - different salon). Now I'm set back 3+ months in the process. The very brief shampoo was nothing special and did not include any sort of scalp massage. I have naturally silvering hair...no products specific to my personal hair care needs were offered. Don't even know if I received conditioner. The shampoo is so much a part of a truly relaxing salon experience. Therein lies the problem. This was not an experience. It was a chore to be endured. The salon itself is dismal with no comfortable waiting area. This becomes really important if your stylist is running 15 minutes late. In order to use the single restroom, you have to traipse through break, work and color stations - and if it's occupied, you stand in the middle of this or make a second visit. Although a sign required masks, half of the employees were not wearing facial coverings. No one looked happy. There's no joy here. Joy would have mitigated the horrible cut. A little. read more

I called on the off chance I could get an appointment within the next few hours. Marla answered the phone so effervescently and was happy to see what she could do for me. I was on hold for a few minutes and she was very sweet to check in twice while I waited to get an appointment. Luckily she was able to set me up with Muzaffer Topal, a delightful Turkish hairdresser with over 25 years experience. After Marla set me up with a cup of coffee, Loretta helped me with my wash and mask, she was very kind and fun to talk to. I got a perfect trim and beautiful blow dry from Muzo, with some wonderful suggestions for my next visit. I would highly recommend this salon, and Muzo especially. Its always a risk to go to a new hairdresser, but I went in with pictures of what I wanted AND what I did not. Thank-you for your expertise and talent and a salon that's conveniently located to Downtown Boca Raton just a few blocks from Palmetto Park Road and right on S. Federal Hwy. And a Postscript - when you leave a salon, they usually use lots of product to make your hair look amazing. The real test is to wash my hair and let it air dry; no product, no dryer, no styling. I've been going to Donna for years, since was she senior colorist at Peter Coppola and I've been following her ever since. I really love my blonde hair and she keeps it from getting too ashy or yellow. I'm sensitive to smells and have a hard time in salons that use ammonia and peroxide (especially the nasty stuff they use on your nails). Donna uses some kind of natural dye on my hair so I don't get sick and there are air purifiers throughout so I don't get sick, and my hair still comes out with a natural blonde color. I called and made an appointment to get a gloss done. I do not know much about hair products since I've never done anything with color to my hair. So, I looked up a lot of info on what hair gloss is and almost everything said it made your hair shiny and you can also choose a tint(dark only)... so I called and made an appointment and he quoted me $35. I arrived and explained what I wanted which was a gloss/ with a black tint(Demi-permanent). The man up front was very rude and pushy. He directed me back to a chair with a women that spoke no English. He didn't offer me anything to drink while I watched him and other stylists offer every other older client drinks when they walked in the door(so I guess because I was young, I wasn't considered and important client). So I'm halfway through the process... literally the dye was already in my hair and he came back to quote the prices. He said gloss was 35 in addition to the Demi which was 65 in total which makes so sense because they're the same thing. The reason I know this is because I went to TWO separate salons after this and they told me it's the same thing and that I was ripped off. It's also super unprofessional how you quote someone something on the phone and then change the cost when the process is basically done. They basically took advantage and I won't be returning. The only reason for the two stars is because the gloss was semi decent. read more

I just want to say I had the Queen - Donna - Coiffe my Crown today. I have very fine hair but a lot of it. It takes someone special to blend fine hair without leaving cutting lines in it. I go here to get my eyebrows threaded by Loretta. My eyebrows were thin and looked really horrendous before coming to her. She's helped my eyebrows to look fuller and have a nice shape/killer arch. For that, I absolutely love Loretta! Update: I went out of town & needed my brows threaded. The person couldn't even live up to the way Loretta does brows. I have such high expectations now. So now even though I don't live in the area anymore, I make sure that whenever I am in town I schedule an apt with Loretta. Side note: it is kind of annoying though, I've been in on two separate occasions and one of the male hair stylists with long hair pulled back into a ponytail will comment on my hair basically with distaste on his face, saying I need to come in to get my hair trimmed because apparently to him it must look ragged. It is obvious that Muzo is an artist right from the start - he examined my hair, my face shape, the color, etc very meticulously and then recommended a haircut and color for me. I absolutely love both and have received so many compliments already. And the salon itself is such a friendly place. They offered me wine, coffee, water, etc and you get the feeling from the people that work there that it is like a little family. I was told that Donna Pascoe salon had moved from Boca to Delray. When I got there after driving around for 10 minutes looking for parking I found out that none of the staff from Boca work there. The salon was empty and the only guy working there could not give me any further information about the services. I went in to get my hair washed and curled. I specifically asked if they know how to work with expansions and was told yes. A stylist by the name of Muzo came over to the reception desk, looked at my hair and assured me that he knew just what to do. I scheduled my appointment for two hours later and walked around Atlantic avenue to do some shopping. Upon my return, I was led to the back to have my hair washed by an older woman with her hair cut in a bob. I told her that I had extensions and asked if she knew how to wash my hair. She said "yes".... Well, she didn't! I even explained to her exactly how to wash my hair, how the hair should be shampooed, etc. I specifically told her NOT to lather my hair into a ball and she DID. of course my hair got all tangly!!! Muzo was great! He untangled my now damaged hair and have me a wonderful blow dry and trim. Thank you Muzo for saving the day!! The only negative is that Muzo didn't have a flat iron at his station and couldn't press my hair to my approval. He had to use the blow drier to do so. In all, I had a great conversation with him, he's very professional and friendly. Just be mindful about show washing your hair of you have extensions in. read more
