Absolutely the worst office staff around anywhere. Non-responsive. Not friendly or compassionate. Difficult to get anything at all that you need. Been waiting for a referral letter to my hip surgeon. Now, I'm sitting on hold for, so far, 9 minutes, to find out why this letter has not been sent yet. Dr. Casey herself is a great doctor. But be prepared to wait hours, even with an appointment. So, after that 10 min wait, I hung up and called back again. They don't even have any notes in their system that I even ordered a referral letter! read more

Dr. Casey did my physical at the end of January. She found my thyroid was under active and I was LOW on vitamin D3 and B12. I had no energy and was fat! Since then I've lost 36 pounds and feel so much better. Dr. Casey is wise. She knows humans. Yes, you have to wait to see her. I eat before I go and bring things to occupy me. I've been a patient with Dr. Casey for over a decade. I obviously value her services as my primary care physician and would recommend her to anyone. I give the doctor herself five stars. Since it's her name here only, I leave my rating unchanged. If I were rating the whole office, I'd deduct a star or two. My recommendation for Dr. Casey comes with just a few words of warning and advice: wait times are not good (especially if you have a mid afternoon appointment) and the office staff is not outgoing and warm. If you need these things at your doctor's office to be satisfied with your care, don't come here. If your priority is the treatment you receive from your doctor and the warmth of the receptionist is neither here nor there, absolutely request to be a patient. DR. CASEY WORKS IN AN OFFICE WITH ANOTHER PHYSICIAN, DR. CASEY. Yes, you read that correctly: Dr. Casey and Dr. Casey. Dr. Donna's father is Dr. Franklin Casey. Dr. Franklin is also an internal medicine physician and works in the same office. They share everything, including patients if you need to be seen and one or the other isn't available. When you call the office with a question for the doctor, you may be told she will call you back. The person who tells you this will not state a period of time in which this will happen so be advised, it may be a while. If you need a call back urgently, it is best to state so. I remain unconvinced that Dr. Casey's intention is to return every call the same day; more likely is that the person you're speaking with doesn't have the answer and needs Dr. Casey's help but will probably not seek that help immediately, if ever. If your question can be answered quickly and easily over the phone and you don't receive a call back within 3 office days (note that Dr. Casey is not in the office on Thursdays), call again. IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO DO THIS, DO NOT GO TO THIS OFFICE. This is not a five-star operation: it's a five-star doctor with a two-star staff. If you've gotten this far and remain undeterred, you're a great fit for the office. Expect top notch care by a warm and positive physician. Dr. Casey seems to prefer natural approaches to healing before medicine whenever possible. She is empathetic, thorough, and efficient. I had to give my two cents here because Dr. Donna is consistently ranked as one of the best doctors in Dallas and for multiple reasons. She's an accomplished equestrian and spends every spare minute of her time (outside of rescuing humans) rescuing animals. She and her dad are two of the smartest, experienced, most professional people I know; I would fly across country for appts with her. Just because the wait times may be "long" sometimes (hello, why do you think they are long? it's because the patients never shut up; the doctors go 90mph because everyone treats their offices like a therapist's) doesn't mean they're not trying their best nor does it have anything to do with how she practices medicine. Do you get a Michelin meal in five minutes or a McDonald's one? Okay. Fortunately, she has amassed a huge, loyal clientele so spammy reviews don't matter a bit, BUT, trust me when I say her bedside manner and expertise are the best you will find and have fun finding another doc better. read more

I love Dr Donna Casey. I returned to her after several years once my insurance accepted her. She has been better than the many other PCPs I've tried through the years by a long shot. As a doctor friend of mine said, "She is a brilliant diagnostician." She always takes her time with me and answers my questions. I felt rushed by previous doctors who would then just jump to conclusions and "guess" at whats wrong only to schedule you for a follow up instead of taking their time and setting you on the right path to begin with and wasting my time and money. She also takes you seriously and doesn't dismiss symptoms (and I think that's why she sets you on the right path instead of a wild goose chase that takes months or years). My time is valuable and she has ultimately saved me time and been effective unlike others. While other doctors have dismissed my issue, I got treatment through her and am so much better. She is worth the wait. And you actually get to see her instead of a PA , who in my experience has you do unnecessary tests and follow ups. Sometimes, she sees you almost immediately while other times it took two hours. It's because she takes her time with each patient or has emergencies. So I'm willing to wait since it means I get my time when it's my turn. She does talk very fast but I am able to process it. BTW My doctor friend sends his parents to Dr Casey. read more

I Love Dr Donna, she is extremely well informed, excellent listener and explains in detail. HOWEVER, when your RX insurance company requires pre-authorization to refill a prescription... you're In BIG trouble!!! Whomever answers the front desk phone flat told me they DO NOT do pre-authorizations. It stinks that an insurance company can override a physicians prescriptions and require additional approval but mine does; meanwhile, I am unable to get it filled through my insurance company because no one will return multiple (6) calls/fax. The receptionist told I should just use Good RX instead!!! Really?!! And pay $300 for my RX because no one will return a phone call from the insurance company I pay good money for each month?! Surely not! I have made 6 calls to the doctors office over the last month; requested Dr Donna call me but I'm unsure if Dr Donna ever got my messages at all! WOW! read more

Dr. Casey was recommended to me by two trusted friends. I scheduled an appointment for a physical on March 3rd and things went very well and I found her personable. She recommended a followup test. I did so but went to another test provider. I mailed her the results to see if I needed to change medications or not. Over an 8 week period following the physical I was unsuccessful in getting ANYONE from that office to follow up and return my call after 4 separate attempts! I spoke to various individuals in the office and all said that the Doctor would call me back. In all my years I have never been to a doctor that did not contact me back or have someone in the office to contact me after a scheduled test with followup instructions. Nothing I could do could get a response out of that office. So it's either one of two things - she is incompetent - or - her staff is. Either way it's not a good look. I love Donna. But not enough to spend my whole afternoon with her. My appointment was scheduled for 3:00 today. It is 4:19 and I have still not been called back to see her. Probably bring a movie, pillows and snacks to your appointment. Otherwise you will end up cranky and annoyed that you always end up here for 2.5 hours just to get your prescription re-filled. read more
