I came here for my USCIS civil surgeon exam as part of my Green Card process. Dr Lin and Susan were fantastic! They explained the entire process and walked me through the relevant tests and vaccines I needed to take. Dr Lin even went above and beyond by giving me general advice on my long term health. They were always reachable by phone for follow-up questions as well. I've been living in the US for 15 years and this was by far the BEST experience I have ever had at a doctor's office. I only wish Dr Lin took adult patients, I would definitely use him as my primary care physician! read more

I found Dr. Lin through the USCIS Civil Surgeon website and Yelp. There were many good reviews, so I gave it a shot and called. His assistant Susan took it and now and I'm another person writing a good review :-) Both Dr. Lin and Susan were so very helpful with the whole process of the immigration medical exam and the I-693! They are very knowledgeable and because they've done it many times, I felt so safe and secure. Dr. Lin really took the time to make me feel comfortable even though I was nervous. He even gave us a recommendation for a lab which was also very nice! Everything was sooo smooth and uncomplicated. I'd do it again with Dr. Lin and Susan - THANK YOU SO MUCH! read more

Doctor Lin has been a spectacular pediatrician for our now 11 week daughter. He's easy to get a hold of, he over communicates (which is helpful for us as new parents), and he responds to emails when something is wrong. His care quality has been superb. He gave our daughter her shots and she was never uncomfortable. We sort of found him randomly and I'm glad we didn't go to a much larger clinic because he's able to spend more time on his clients, even when we're not in a visit. read more

Both Dr. Lin and Susan are great to work with. Dr. Lin is also a civil surgeon and I got my green card medical exam from him. He is very throughout, detailed oriented, and efficient. I called in, scheduled my exam in the same week, got one vaccine needed, and got my report the next week. Dr. Lin also told me that my blood pressure seems high and I watch out for work stress. And I have spent time with my primary physician to work on it. Very kind and efficient. Which is a rare combo. read more

I had a great visit to Dr. Lin for my I-693 medical exam. I called the office to make an appointment and Susan explained the process to me. The cost for the exam was $150, which is cheaper than most places. During my visit, the doctor went through my vaccination records and asked me some questions, then he gave me a list of lab tests and vaccination titer needed to complete the form. Since I have insurance somewhere else, the doctor let me go to a different place to get the tests. He also took the time to make sure I understood the types of tests I need, so I fully understood what I needed to ask from my provider. I came back a week after that with my test results. Then, the doctor went through the form with me to make sure that I was aware everything was filled out correctly. The entire experience was smooth and pleasant. The cost was also very reasonable compared to other places that charge a package fee of about $300++ even if you can get the tests from your provider. read more

Both the doctor and Susan are super nice. Efficient and professional. If you want to get your green card medical exam done fast with a good price, this is the #1 place you should consider!!!!! Dr Lin and Susan speak Mandarin as well! read more

Dr Lin and Susan were GREAT, I highly recommend them! I went to see Dr. Lin for my Green Card medical exam. It feels good to speak to somebody knowledgeable, who takes the time to explain to you the different steps of the process, very kind and professional. They took time to answer my (numerous) questions by mail and on the phone too. The process was very fast and efficient, and it was very reasonably priced too! Also, he seems to be a great pediatrician too! (I brought my 9-month-old with me to the appointment and he was great with him!). Thanks a lot! read more

Green Card Medical Exam tl;dr: 10 star out of 5 stars. I never write a review on Yelp, but the experience I got here was so phenomenal that I had to leave a review. When I got a notice for the medical examination for my green card, I probably called more than 10 places to find out which place had the cheapest option. All of them had outrageous pricing from $300 to $700+ which didn't make any sense to me. When I called this place, however, the reception person was super nice and told me that it costs $150 (vs. $300+ other places) to have a medical examination + extra costs for vaccination. She then transferred to the doctor and the doctor kindly asked me what's my historical record of vaccination and what type of insurance I had. He told me with the current insurance I have, I'll be able to cover the cost of vaccination as well. So I immediately scheduled the appointment. When I visited the office, again, everyone was super nice and explained very clearly on all the questions I had. I finished my lab test and vaccination that I was missing and now waiting to pick up my documents. This entire experience from calling to visit was very smooth and pleasant and I was only charged with $150 total (vs. $300+ other places). If you wonder where to get your medical examination, don't waste your time and just go to this place. They'll take good care of you :) read more

I came here for my I-693 medical exam and I am so happy about my experience here. Dr. Lin and Susan were very friendly and helpful to get through my medical exam process. They only charged me $150 for the medical exam (it's so affordable compare to other place $350+) It was easy to schedule appointment and fast! I would highly recommend this place to anyone. read more

Both Susan and Dr. Lin are great! My wife and I went there for a USCIS Immigration appointment and they were highly experienced, professional, quick, knowledgable, and amazingly helpful. They knew it all and we are now all the better for it! Big weight off our shoulders! Very reasonably priced too! Thank you! read more

I almost never write yelp review, and this is the first time I have ever written a negative review. I want to give everyone a warning if you want to see a truly helpful and respectful doctor. Dr.Lin would not be the right doctor to visit My experience with Dr. Lin was very disappointing. Dr. Lin was impatient and did not pay attention to listen to my needs. When I was not able to understand his instruction, he judged my intelligence. He even judged my health by saying: I am not surprised a person like you would have this kind of disease. Dr. Lin abused his position as a doctor. As a doctor, his job is to treat and help patients. We entrust our doctors to help with our health, so we share our most vulnerable even painful health concerns with them. I feel disappointed that there are doctors in the world would abuse our trust read more

Dr. Lin helped me with my greencard medical form. He's very friendly and professional. He gave me a complete list of additional items I need to complete (such as taking additional shots and testings) and guided me through the process. I went through the greencard application process with his completed form with no trouble at all. I recommended him to my friends who went through the process as well and I'd recommend him to anyone who needs to go through the greencard medical exam. read more

Came here after looking up for Doctors for I-693 USCIS medical exam in San Francisco. Office is located on Stockton street in China town. Called in on the phone for same day appointment. Did the paper work and than he gave me a list of lab tests i need to run to confirm immunity and also the TB blood test. He is fine with using your own insurance for the lab tests. Doctor explained every thing for the process. They charge $150 for the exam only and extra $$ for missing vaccines but you can get the vaccines from your health insurance provider to cut down on costs. Whole process took less than 40 minutes. read more

Horrible, incompetent people. I wish I never went here. I have encountered so many problems with the staff in the past and, finally, with the doctor himself. These people just don't know how to communicate effectively. I asked them to call my cell phone, but they called my house phone trying to get ahold of my parents first. That didn't work because my father picked up thend got mad at them for being incompetent. If the ex-patient is now 23 years old, why would you feel the need to call her parents? Hmm? The main issue was trying to get a copy of vaccination records, as I will be going overseas soon. Both the staff member Karen and Dr. Lin tried explaining so many different things---that someone has to be there in person to pick up records/ you can send over a signature (but apparently they'd have nothing to compare it to because my signature is not on file--he tried to make this seem like it was my fault, but how did that make sense since I was a minor when I went to this PEDIATRICIAN)/you can fax over (but not email since they are living in prehistoric times with no email capability) authorization but still need someone to come in person/etc etc,.. Finally, after going in stupid circles, Dr. Lin realized that I can just ask my new doctor to get the records from them. OH how wonderful! Why didn't he or Karen tell me that in the beginning? Why did he try to push me into driving all the way into Chinatown SF this entire time, as if there weren't any other options? We are going around in circles only to come to a simple solution. I asked him those questions, then he responded by asking me why am I being so hostile.. THAT made me hostile. Why am I hostile? Because I had to deal with his incompetent staff, who gave me attitude ever since the first phone call when she realized I don't speak Chinese! I told him that, then he abruptly said, "I have patients to see... " CLICK. Wow, great doctor. That's really a great way to handle a situation. If you are looking for a professional environment, don't come here. I only came here because it's location USED to be convenient, but now my parents and I regret it! read more

Green Card Medical Exam Dr. Lin and Susan were both wonderful and helpful in getting through this rather tedious process. I called 15 doctors offices in order to get a price quote and they ranged from $150 -$450. Dr. Lin doesn't charge a package but is open to working with you if you have vaccinations taking care of by your provider. (They need proof of medical record) Susan really helped guide me through the steps I had covered under insurance already and hence I got the smallest bill possible, $150 only. Other doctors offices would have taken advantage and charged me for everything! Much appreciated, responsible and not a money making only doctor! Thank you read more

I used this doctor for a greencard medical exam, and highly recommend him. He was very empathetic to the immigrant experience, thorough, and much less expensive than other alternatives. If you need to do a USCIS medical exam in San Francisco, I give him a call! read more

Dr. Lin was my wife's pediatrician back when she was a kid, so it was a no-brainer when deciding a doctor for our baby daughter. Dr. Lin is very nice, patient, gentle, and great with babies. As first time parents, Dr. Lin makes us feel reassured and confident with his great advice and experienced care. It doesn't hurt that he and his incredibly nice staff are always reachable by phone and e-mail, and that the doctor's office is so conveniently located in Chinatown. The wait times are very short, and trust me, I know wait times (Kaiser)... The appointments are never rushed and Dr. Lin makes sure all our questions and concerns are addressed before we leave. Staff speaks English, Cantonese, and Mandarin so grandparents can easily communicate with them. My family and I always leave impressed with Dr. Lin and his staff. We couldn't be happier. I would recommend Dr. Lin to anyone looking for a great pediatrician. read more

I have been seeing Don Lin when I was an over-aged teenager that should definitely have switched to a regular doctor instead of a pediatrician; but he was competent, reliable, spoke English, easy to book appointments and was close to where I live. Now my child sees him as a pediatrician even though we live on the other side of the city. He is a very competent doctor! I am also thankful for his responsiveness. I emailed him during the holidays regarding my child and was able to get a response within a few hours. The receptionist ladies are also very sweet and are very knowledgeable! They know exactly where I need to go to apply for certain insurance, which specialist I should go and how to get an appt etc., which makes things much easier! read more

I bought my kids to Dr. Lin when they are babies . Amazing practice with wonderful caring and supportive people who care about my kids . They save me lots of time . He always give me the right information right away . I recommend Dr. Lin to anyone . Thank you Dr. Lin for all your help through out the years . read more

I saw him when I was a teen. Now, I am a father of two. I still bring my kids to him rather than UCSf or CPMC because Dr. Lin provides excellent care. If You ever need a last minute appointment and all other doctors are fully booked and you don't want to go to the E.R., give him a call. His friendly staff will find a same day appointment for you. Dr. Lin is good. read more

My family was introduced to Dr. Lin when my first son was born in 2005 at CPMC. My son was running a fever immediately after birth and Dr. Lin took great care of him and visited the NICU every single day to ensure that my child was in stable condition. Since his birth, every time my son gets sick, he would run fevers as high as 103-104 degrees and we would call Dr. Lin any time in the middle of night and he would respond to our calls in a matter of minutes. My eldest son is now 6 and our second son is 18 months old. Both are seeing the wonderful, caring and professional Dr. Lin. Although the location is inconvenient since we live nowhere near Chinatown, we refuse to change pediatricians because he is the BEST of the BEST! read more
