Merchant went back on their policy for returned items. Over charged by $100.00 with mis-information.

We love Tony's! You quickly get transported into old time Chicago. We only heard about it when we…read moremoved to the neighborhood a few years ago via our neighbors. It came as a great recommendation! We didn't have it for a while since we live the low-carb life but were thrilled to learn they do a "sub in a tub". I love their tuna salad/sub. Their bread is soft, back when I could eat it. They don't overfill it with mayo either and add some mild peppers or hot on request. I like that they don't have onions at the deli so it doesn't overpower everything else. My husband typically loves the club. They rolled a generous amount into a container and I used scissors to quickly and easily cut it. It was a perfect lunch and I have enough for another tomorrow! For $8, or $11 for a generous tuna scoop, you can't beat it. Staff is also quick and friendly at the deli, as well as checkout. You can find all kinds of things for the house or to gift someone whether it's food, a cookie jar, something imported from Italy, or a homemade meal. You'll find something for everyone.

The olives are just a perfect match to that super tender roast beef! Took home some vodka sauce and smoked mozzarella gnocchi for dinner too. The gnocchi are really nice fluffy pillows unlike any I've had before. So light.

Everything I bought was certainly fresh. The kajmak (buttery cheese spread), urnebes (spicy red pepper and cheese spread), suvi vrat (smoked pork shoulder), and roasted red peppers were all excellent. I will be back to try some smoked sausages, and cevapi on their grill. I was a customer at the original D.S.D. location on Lawrence that closed over 10 years ago, which had been open since the 1960's. Moved on to George's until they also closed a few years later. Imagine my surprise seeing "D.S.D. Deli" on google maps, so glad to see an old favorite back in business. This is a new location, but the same quality Serbian food that I loved at the old location. Very important to support local and family owned business, which are the fabric of our community. Sadly some people don't understand that.

Was a nice hearty meal to some spend time, waiting for the Burek, while some soccer played. The service and ambiance inside is great and hospitable they're nice people, just like many Balkan places. Would highly recommend giving it a try. The crowd is a lot of Balkan folks but they get excited about non-Balkan people coming to enjoy their excellent food. So far the best Serbian place I've had in the Chicagoland. Their Burek was life-changing. It was gone in less than 24 hours.
