All these concerns and more. I'm a detail oriented guy that can find fault with just about everything, I know, not healthy. BUT, let me tell you while giving major praise and satisfaction thanks to Todd, the owner of Windows, Doors & More. His crew showed up 30 minutes prior to start time every day! I say "crew" BUT, these guys were true Craftsman and I mean Craftsman. The Team, Steve, Jacob, Ian, and Bill worked together like a fine tuned machine. A look and a nod in the place of words. WOW. Their personalities made it actually nice to have them around and working on my home. If you have a question, they stop what their doing, follow you, and listen intently with a true response. They even took extra care to help me and be certain my wood blinds would fit the new windows. Extra trim required, Not a problem. I look at these windows and completed installation with pleasing amazement. I'm not kidding, everything looks and operates beautifully. For a guy that's hard to please, I couldn't be happier. Also, their pricing is more than competitive and their products are top rated when you do the investigation. I addition, the painted commented that the woodwork was done and nailed the way it's supposed to be done unlike other work he has seen. Hats off to Todd and his team. We went back and forth for about a week as he offered a variety of options and price points. He had to coordinate with the roof/gutter jobs and the rain, and he did. Then we had them replace a wooden gate. (1) The owner/salesman that handled each major transaction was no-pressure, and extremely knowledgable about windows, roofs and infrastructure. He explained our options and we picked. (2) Most importantly, the workers were highly skilled craftsmen. We had to wait months, but the one time we didn't [the first wooden gate built by someone else], we had to pay to have it torn out and rebuilt properly. (3) They communicate promptly and frequently with us. This is rare, we have found. (4) The craftsmen are all polite and neat. (5) Further, we decided to replace the old wooden soffetts with Hardyboard and wanted the joists tied to the rafters while everything was exposed. This turned out to be a non-standard project, which they had to figure out on the fly. They did, which revealed to us that they are well supervised and have, on staff, a super-skilled carpenter: another rarity. (6) We just reviewed the electric bill. This house is generally among the most energy efficient according to Duke Energy. The new windows are a significant part of this. I saw this first hand on a sunny day. With the sun beating down on a south-facing window, I observed, upon opening it, that the heat portion (infrared) of the sunlight was almost completely blocked by the new windows. Once opened, I could feel a blast of heat from the direct sunlight on my face that was absent when the window was closed. This works in both directions - keeping the heat in during the winter and out during the long hot summer. We decided early on for house upgrades, that we would do it right, or not do it at all. We plan to live here until we go to the Happy Hunting Ground. We are extremely pleased with the materials and workmanship, and recommend My Guys without reservation.
