I had an electrician out that damaged drywall in the process of removing baseboard heaters.
They were receptive to having them fixed, and said they'd be contacting the drywall company they work with to make the repairs.
About a week later, they said the repair person wanted to talk to me.
He called (Done Right Works) and proceeded to question me about the photos of the damage that I'd forwarded to the electrician.
I felt like I was put on the spot and being interrogated. He repeatedly implied that the house looked horrible, and that I was trying to get something for nothing.
Referring to the photo of the laundry room, he said, "what you are calling a laundry room".
He was insulting, rude, and disrespectful toward the appearance of the limited area of the house that he saw in the photos, and made it clear to me over and over that the house looked terrible to him, and nearly unworthy of being repaired.
I told him I just wanted the walls to look as they did before the holes were knocked into the drywall during the electrical work.
He finally said that he'd write an estimate and "if" the electrical company agreed with the price, he would do the work.
Keeping in mind that the electric company said that they were going to have the repairs done, and there was never any issue with them taking care of me.
I wound up calling the electrician practically in tears because of the way this drywall guy had treated me. The disrespect was awful.
I told them I didn't want him in my house, and I didn't want him to do the work. My own handyman is going to take care of it.
I'm so disgusted with this company. I would absolutely never hire him for anything, ever. Period. read more
