About 2 years ago we switched from one local veterinary clinic to Family Pet Clinic in Southampton…read moreand it was literally the best decision we ever made as far as our pets were concerned! Everyone there is very pleasant and friendly! The staff are amazing! Dr. F. was our dog's primary doctor and we absolutely loved her from the start! She is very knowledgeable and an excellent veterinarian! She takes time to explain everything and has sound advice on what should be done with our dogs best interests in mind!! I'd be remiss to say that they are very reasonable with their prices too. I want to also give a shout out to Dr. Spears as well, she saw our little girl Chloe for the last time last Monday and she was exactly the same as Dr. F. in regards to her professional expertise!! Unfortunately we lost both of our babies, Axel and Chloe about 8 months apart but, FPC gave us more time with them then we could have expected so kudos to them!! They both are sadly missed but we take solace in the fact that they both had the best care they could've had by us switching vets and going to FPC. Thank you all for everything you did for our babies and us! We are very grateful for folks like yourselves! Keep up the great work!! Lastly, if you're looking for an amazing veterinary practice, look no further than Family Pet Clinic!!

This place has seriously gone down hill. My family has been a customer for MANY years. We've…read moretaken over 5 family dogs here over a span of 20 years. It's just not the same the last few years. They NEVER and I mean NEVER answer the phone. And their prices have become ridiculous. You used to get a free nail trimming at every visit. That has stopped. I guess because they can charge for that. We will be finding a new vet. Customer service is a thing of the past.

We have been going to Newtown Vet for 17 years with our various pets through the years…read more Recently our dog Charley started having seizures, one of which was pretty scary and needless to say we were very concerned. Dr Graham, our favorite vet , once again explained everything thoroughly and took about an hour of his day going over possible causes options for treatment. Charley was diagnosed with idiopathic epilepsy and we are so relieved that's all it is. Dr Graham is the best and we truly love and trust him with our pets.

So much. So very much can be improved. We walked in with…read moreour cat and left feeling robbed and without our cat. When we arrived they took him in the back without us. Didn't like that. 1/2 later the doctor spoke to us about his condition. I don't feel like he explained everything to us well. That there are meds the cat could have taken. He had no personality and didn't have an optimistic demeanor. Everything was presented like it wasn't worth the trouble. We asked questions but he didn't offer positive solutions. He made it sound like if you do this you will need to keep the cat here for three days, see a cardiologist, then he'd be on three meds a day. The groups I belong to are wondering "why we didn't fight harder" and my only answer is the vet gave up on us and on the cat. There was no: "here's what we can do, let's try this!" The demeanor was he's doomed, don't waste your time. We did the best we could to feel confidence in him, but we don't think he was the right person to handle our cat. Maybe someone that was more proactive, motivated and didn't leave such a feeling of doubt in us as we walked away empty handed would have been a better experience. Also compounding this with a $1,200 invoice as we walked away without our beloved baby. All of it a terrible experience. The only saving grace was the young lady who handled the paperwork. I wonder what other pet owners think of that doctor.

I won't tell all the details due to all the haters out there, but I will say my dog is sweet as can be, but is anxious when he gets his nails done. He is 10 years old and not one vet ever suggested I take my dog to Petsmart. This vet also charges office visits for nail trims. $20 just turned into $75. I was buying my one dogs allergy pills and given a price. This new vet charged me $1.00 more per pill. Yes, per pill. Then proceeded to giving me a sob story about his pricing. He never read my dogs chart as he is prescribing antibiotics for his leg, which had surgery 9 years earlier. A mark that has been on him for 9 years. RUN RUN RUN fast away from this man.

I was hired by Dr. Kacham with full transparency of my past experiences in pet care . This did not…read moreinclude any kind of veterinary work mainly grooming facilities, receptionist jobs, customer service and dog handling. I was extremely excited and ready to learn under the supervision of an actual Vet. I was looking to broaden my horizons as someone who has always wanted to work with animals but cannot afford to go to school to become a vet tech at this moment in time. So I was appreciative that a small practice would take on individuals like myself and I wanted to give it my all. I did learn a lot in the 3 weeks I was there however my experience was quite horrible. Dr. Kacham does not seem suitable to teach or has the patience to do so and does not welcome curious learners. In fact he said I should just go to school if I want to ask questions . Questions that were very valid to the procedure or tasks at hand and could have been easily answered . Instead he spent more time putting his employees down and threatening to fire us every day . I understand not everyone is equipped to teach or even train but what can you expect from people who have never stepped foot in an exam room or lab-like environment that YOU hired. Hire people with a vet tech certificate I guess ? I don't know but no one would want to take that position because the pay is not worth it to go through this. Absolutely no people skills and that's not just the many interactions I had with him as a new hire or witnessed with other employees sadly. He's been losing a lot of patients since the other Doctor retired and I can only imagine it has to do with the way he seems to value perfection, his precious time & money . Valuing this over building actual long-lasting relationships with his patients and their parents. The turnover rate for employees is abysmal as well. I was fired for asking a genuine question about procedure price quotes and what that includes after essentially being told to hang up on a poor client trying to schedule her cat for a spaying because he was frustrated . He did this a lot. I was also called a liar by him. I'm confused and appalled but more so angry that people like this can get away with this behavior and not take accountability or even reflect on the why. Why employees leave so fast like they do. It's sad really. I will try to focus on what I did learn in my short time at the hospital and be positive. But I highly recommend taking your fur babies somewhere else because they deserve better and so do you.

In 2021, I received a phone call from Carey and was told my dog had leukemia. She never had cancer. She was misdiagnosed. In 2020/2021, my dog began having incontinence due to a previous surgery. She wanted to put her on medication that had potential for additional problems. After careful research I found Merck makes a med called Incurin. This was nothing short of a wonder drug. I never noticed any side effects and it make my old pup more energy than she had in years. A year of two later, my dog from suffering from an aggressive skin infection. It was eating away at her fur. I tried medicated shampoo but this was a very aggressive infection. Ultimately, Carey put her on Chloramphenicol. A highly potent drug that should really only be used as a last resort. This is where I made the ultimate mistake in trusting this woman that calls herself "Dr.". Within 2-3 weeks of administering the medication, my dog could no long climb the steps to the house. Many will argue that it was her age, but its very suspicious that she lost that ability in my hind legs just as I started to give her the med. I had to put my baby of 18 years down yesterday because the muscles in her hind legs were so wrecked she could no longer lift her body out of her bed to make her way to the towel to potty. It wasn't until Thursday that she started to cry and howl because she lost the ability to walk. Melody and I had a storied 18+ years together. She was more than my dog. She was my partner. So many coincidences that you might even say those signs would constitute a soul mate. We were best friends. Carey took her away from me. Melody was still a healthy pup at 18. She didn't die of old age. I had to put her asleep because Carey was negligent. She knew the ramifications this drug would have and if she didn't then shame on her for even practicing. Aside from having to waiting outside in the cold until she was ready to see you, I never had a problem with the staff. Every one was always kind. Carey included. But I really don't give a damn about my Drs. personality. I just care about the welfare of my child. Carey put my child in danger. Melody 11/28/2005 - 3/15/2024.
