I first contacted Mr. Montoya to inquire about having my 2004 Rolex Submariner 16610LV serviced. I had just purchased it, and it had not been serviced in its 22 years of life. The winding was gritty and rough, the date changed later than expected, and it was running at least 16 seconds fast per day. Mr. Montoya explained in detail what he was going to do, what the service entailed, and that another estimate would be provided if parts needed to be replaced. Mr. Montoya then provided photos and videos of the timepiece during various stages of service, and the issues found with my watch. Mr. Montoya explained everything in detail and provided a fair and reasonable price. He also provided a quick estimate of the turnaround time to get my watch back to me. When I went to pickup my watch, Mr. Montoya explained the repairs and services completed again. In addition, he gave me additional photos and videos taken during the repair and explained what was being shown and done in each one. I highly recommend Mr. Montoya and the MWSC if you want an honest and highly skilled watchmaker that you can trust. He was transparent and thorough through each step of the process, which made me feel comfortable knowing my watch was in good hands. He has tons of experience and is specialized in Rolex timepieces that are 2010 and older. He also has performed a lot of work on other brands such as Patek and Omega. I 100% will be going back to Mr. Montoya when it comes time to service my Submariner and other timepieces.

While they were working on my diamond ring, one of the diamonds came out and had to be replaced. Although that experience left me uneasy, I decided to give the business another chance. Today, I brought in a pair of very special earrings that I purchased from The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York for approximately $400. The silver post had separated from the base of one earring, and I wanted to find out whether it could be repaired. After waiting my turn, I spoke with a woman who appeared to be in charge. Once she determined that the shop could not perform the repair, her entire manner became rushed and dismissive. I was still trying to understand what she was telling me and ask about my options, but she repeatedly cut me off with, "Is there anything else I can do for you?" When I explained that I still had questions, she responded, "We have other customers. You're not the only customer." That response was completely unnecessary. I had waited patiently for my turn, I was not demanding that they perform an impossible repair, and I was not taking an unreasonable amount of time. I simply wanted a clear explanation concerning a valuable and personally meaningful piece of jewelry. A business being unable to perform a particular repair is understandable. Treating a customer as though she is an inconvenience for asking basic questions is not. I then walked to another jewelry shop nearby. They patiently explained that the earrings could not be repaired through conventional soldering and would require a laser repair. They accepted the earrings and agreed to attempt the work. That brief, professional explanation was all I had been asking for. Fast-Fix did not lose a returning customer because they lacked the equipment for this particular job. They lost a customer because of the unnecessarily rude, dismissive, and unprofessional way I was treated. Based on both of my experiences--especially today's interaction--I will not return, and I cannot recommend this location.

I was told that I would have to pay for the repair and replacement of the wire which I never authorized in the first service, which I informed her it should have never been replaced because I had only asked for the silver lobster claw addition to my necklace. To make it worse she said that the guy who did it wasn't around and that it might take up to two weeks to get it back! Or maybe I could just go to the Lakewood location... I told her that I had been trying to call the store. I told her I've been calling her location in Downey but the number is disconnected... She tried to give me the 10% coupon and was as pleasant as possible, I didn't get angry nor fight, I simply informed her that it's okay I had already left a negative review about the situation but had hoped for a solution not involving me to further pay for this gentleman's mistake. I didn't leave my necklace nor feel inclined to pay more for terrible Overpriced services. She kindly replied to the review comment that I could go to Michael's and buy the wire myself for next to nothing (which is true and what I did as a solution) compared to what fast fix charges. I paid $10 at Michael's for a 96 strand wire and it took 15 minutes to reassemble the necklace without the tools typically required. I did my best to keep things in a positive light for myself and fast fix but the store has failed to provide good/quality material and service. A short time later I received a call and voicemail from a number I didn't recognize and forgot about it until today when I realized that someone had reached out to discuss this. Read it yourself, as if I'm in trouble and must call this person back. No thanks, I tried in person and was already further let down as a paying customer. I owe fast fix nothing and the service is reflected honestly in my review. It's their reputation and responsibility to make things right. I am sure that I was called in regard to taking my review down, but it shall remain to inform the public because it is too little and too late. Seriously my concerns have been swept under the rug. I feel that I was already taken advantage of by the overpriced service, the lack of communication, the fact that an inferior product has replaced the superior product it came with and that the warranty is laughable. Lastly to be told it's wear and tear on a light weight product is ludicrous. I've had this necklace for years and the original wire never broke or frayed but it's my fault when I barely wear it. It's okay, I already started talking to my lawyer friends about this matter. I had put it on like usual, but the swelling got so bad it was cutting off circulation--and nothing worked (soap, ice, even the floss trick). He told me he's able to remove about 90% of stuck rings but would need to see it in person. I came in, and he had it off in under five minutes. He was incredibly professional, gentle, and there was zero pain. When I asked how much I owed him, he told me he only charges to fix or make things, not to break them. That alone says everything about his integrity. I'll absolutely be coming back for any future jewelry needs. I couldn't recommend him more.
