I bought a used SUV at Don Nester Chevrolet. Everyone that I worked with in the Sales Dept. and the Service Department was very nice and cared. The Owner and the Sales Manager are very caring. My vehicle had a problem and they handled it. There was no arguing or hours on the phone to get it done. These people care in my view and they want you to be pleased with your purchase. if you asked me would I buy there again? 100% I will. Very impressed. A big thank you to all at Don Nester Chevrolet in Roscommon, MI. 5 Star rated by me! read more

Sadly, the negative reviews are true for this small business. I bought a used car from them and things seemed good with the salesperson but as the sale progressed, mistakes were made. Here are some of the major mistakes. 1. First they sold me the wrong car by putting the wrong vin of a different car on the paperwork. 2. I was having the car shipped and they didn't ship it with temporary tags or the title. They mailed me the title and temp tags with USPS snail mail that took 10 days to reach me. 3. They gave me two different key fobs. One for my car, one for a different year/make of the same model. They won't try to fix the situation because "the deal is done." BTW it costs 800-1000 to get a duplicate key fob and get it reprogrammed. Dealership businesses live or die on referrals. I can't see someone referring these people. read more

Buyer Beware. This is the worst dealership I have ever dealt with. They lied just about everything. Bought a 2018 Ford F150 approximately 8 months ago and have had nothing but problems. The problems started just 28 days after purchase and continued to this day. So far we have put more then $10,000 into this truck to fix the problems. Here are a few things they lied about. They said truck was a trade in....it was bought at auction. They said they only had truck for 2 weeks....they had it for months. Said the truck was so nice the manager was going to buy it. Lied about the interest rate, how the truck would be titled, warranty (good one). They do whatever it takes to make the most money and don't care after that. Stay away from this dealer. The worst!!!!! read more

Don Nester Auto is a bunch of crooks, they use bait and switch interest rates, my interest rate was supposed to be 5.5% and it went to 8% somehow, the warranty is not what they say it covers, the warranty is a joke, the service department does not inspect vehicles properly and does not know how to grease a vehicle when being serviced, stay far away from this stealership. read more

This dealership has for the most part, Service & customer service, have turned into a pack of inept clowns. Bought a used Ford Explorer 2018 and was told all safety checks done and that it was road ready and it was NOT! First drive we took it down to Smokey mountains and the brakes failed within miles. Now I have done business with this dealership 20+ plus years bought well over 20 vehicles and have personally watched this dealership slide in to lo-lo-LOW MEDIOCRITY. Give service a 0- and customer service a generous 2. Never EVER Again. i speak from experience. BTW took it to dealer and yeah I got hot but the Owner/Manager just turned his back and walked off. read more

They have had my truck for 5 months to fix cosmetic issues and still haven't gotten it back yet

My husband and I live over an hour away and had problems with our 2013 Silverado while we were visiting family at Higgins Lake. This was August 2022. The truck was towed to Nesters Roscommon as they were the closest dealership. They diagnosed it and replaced the front sway links, bushings, outer tie rods, front brake pads, rear shoes, and hardware, machined the rotors and drums, both front bearings, performed a front end alignment, and an oil change. Three months later the truck went into our local dealership and they cited faulty workmanship as the reason why our breaks were sticking and cleaned them before re-installing them. Two months after that, the truck was back at our local dealership to have the bearing replaced. At that time, we found out that the oil and filter were the only gm parts that Nesters had used and that all of the other parts were aftermarket. Since the bearing was aftermarket, the warranty did not include labor and we were forced to pay out of pocket for a new one to be installed. One month later and now the other bearing is howling. We will never return to Nesters. read more

Called from 3 hours away about a truck that looked good in pictures. Told him we'd take it if there was no rust on it. Asked Sean 4 different times about rust and the shape the truck was in. Over and over told us it was beautiful great shape not a spot of rust on it. Got to the dealership started looking it over opened the door and the bottom of the door was nearly rusted through! his response was oh well I seen that and thought you'd get here and make an offer on it! The seat also were full of holes and it stunk. We were cash buyers. Don't like to being **** around. What a waste of our time and gas money! 6 hours of driving! Stay away from this dealership if your looking for someone honest! read more

If you need work on your vehicle, I recommend going elsewhere. Our van, a Chrysler Town and Country, needed a head gasket and our regular mechanic did not do that kind of work. We put sealant in our vehicle and saved up to have the head gasket replaced. We brought our vehicle to Don Nesters and told them our mechanic ran a test and that we had a cracked head gasket. We told them we put sealant in the vehicle. They took our vehicle and looked at it. They called us up and told us our radiator was cracked. We said that we didn't want to go further if it was a radiator and head gasket, because that would cost close to more than the vehicle is worth. They told us it was not the head gasket. We again told them about our mechanic testing it and putting sealant in it. They assured us it was not the head gasket. I asked them to look at the head gasket and they told me that's not how they diagnose a cracked head gasket. They said they were sure the head gasket was fine. So we replaced the radiator per their recommendation. We also got new brakes, rotors, and four new tires. We picked the vehicle up and they said there was now a problem with the alternator and that it was not putting out anything when they tested it. They said we needed a new one. (The alternator was fine after tapping on it) Strike 1. We drove the vehicle home and it overheated as we pulled in the driveway. We called them immediately. We again brought up the head gasket and sealant and they again said NOT the head gasket....It was a warped thermostat. So we had them replace our thermostat that was only a year old. Strike 2. Drove the car to work and it overheated agin. This time they said it was THE HEAD GASKET. Strike 3. I told them I was pretty upset because I'm $2300 in at this point and they want another $1300 for the head gasket. I told them I could of purchased a different vehicle. They offered to transfer me to the sales department and give me a good deal on a new purchase!!! I asked them to instead kindly refund the labor costs from this fiasco so that I can get the head gasket. They did not refund me. They did however move the new tires off of the vehicle and put them on my other vehicle and they put more sealant in for free. So now I have a vehicle I can't drive and I can't sell. The same as when I started, except I'm also out $2300. I would only be out $400 if they would of looked at the head gasket in the first place like we asked them to. read more
