Large sharing appetizers. Attentive staff. Fair price points. Large menu variety. Very popular spot with frappe dessert and an area for kids to explore/ entertain. Decided to stop in here after dinner to grab a few drinks. It was quiet but I could still feel the family friendly atmosphere. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. Our server was super nice. The restaurant looked and smelled clean (bleach!) My mojito was really good but honestly didn't taste much liquor in it. We joked that she gave me a virgin mojito but the receipt showed otherwise. I was in Puerto Rico for a few weeks and I was surprised to find out this place , this please have a great selection and they have like a place for kids. They have horses and they have some kids machines for playing and the food was amazing. Great selection. And the customer service was amazing and the food got to our table really fast too. This place was recommended to us. Even though the servings are incredibly big, it lacks in service and taste. Prices are reasonable for the amount of food you get. The drinks are so overpriced!!! We ordered the Mofongo and Churasco. The plates were surprising and with good flavor but I didn't find the quality anything but average. Service was mediocre and the waitress didn't come by except to bring the food and bill. What was most insulting was when the waitress ask for her tip. After telling her I would leave her tip in cash on the table, she insisted in that it be given right then because she has to submit it to the cashier with the bill. WHAT!!!!!! I read some of the reviews but only the one's with 5 star are correct. We wait lest than 10 minutes at it was full. We wait less than 20 minutes for our food to arrive. I'm starting this review with 2 stars, why... the prices. I first noticed this place 2 yrs ago, but we never stopped because it was super busy, good sign, right! So here we are today, back in PR, finally getting a chance to visit this cool looking place, yay. I've visited this area of PR several times and I've had amazing food, but not at these prices on this side of the island. Okay, so my 2 star review stands. Our food was fried too hard and the taste was okay. Not a lot of island flavor, but full of flare. We ordered the #2 appetizer (Jaltera) and added mofongo. Did I mention, we paid for our water too, it was only $1, but it's the principle. Overall this place is a tourist dream, fancy plating, air condition building and overpriced food... and because I'm not necessarily a tourist (hubby is from the island), I'm standing with my review with his PR blessing. Food here very very good. Our plates look like they're on steroids so much food I would consider it more family style than single serving. Prices are great and good comes quick. Cute little place too. Not the best in the area but certainly worth going too. Sampler was Generous in size. I have gone here several times and by far this is the worst experience I have ever had at this restaurant. The other times were just OK. There were two dishes that came out so late we had to cancel one. Three of us had the churrasco Mofongo And it was horrible. We could not eat it. The presentation was not good and the meat look like it had been sitting for a long time. The red snapper was so dry that even the manager agreed with us. The chicken on the mofongo tasted old and dry. He tried to make things right by removing a dish and providing a discount but we still spent over $200 on food that we could not enjoy. We left hungry. I can see why this place has a long wait. If you go for dinner... you will be waiting to be seated. And then you will wait for your order to be delivered. However, the wait will be worth it. Went for dinner last night and was there before the dinner rush there was only 3 other tables. The service was extremely slow and our waiter kept disappearing. He forgot to bring out one of our drinks and we couldn't inform him for 15 minutes, also refills took forever! The appetizer was delicious on the other hand. My dinner plate was the garlic chicken with rice. The rice was so gross, it was really mushy. The chicken smelt old and just tasted funny I couldn't eat it. The taste of the food overall was good. The service was also good. The first time I ate here I got the worst food poisoning I've ever had in my life. I ended up in the hospital, completely dehydrated and feverish. I've returned afterwards but the food is always a hit or miss. There is no consistency in their cooking. Sometimes it's good and sometimes it's really bad. I usually don't gorge myself even though the portions are humongous but more often than not the food here makes my stomach feel bad for days.
