We went for a 4 course menu for €19. How can food this good be €19 !?
- The soup of the day was a countryside soup...and I think it might be the tastiest thing I ate all week. It was hearty and simply lovely. I knew we were having four courses, but I couldn't help but have seconds!
- I had a melted wheel of Camembert for my starter, while my husband had escargot in tomato sauce. I really liked both.
- We had stunning duck for our main course, served with pears that had been poached in wine and a spiced carrot mash.
- We finished with perfect crème brûlée.
I was uncomfortably full after this meal, and still too full for breakfast the following morning...but I loved every bite of it. Seriously if you are staying in Port-Sainte-Foy-et-Ponchapt, make a booking and visit here!!
