Excellent and Unforgettable!…read more This romantic villa set on a peaceful hillside is beautiful and has a charming ambience. The bedrooms feature private balconies with wonderful views of the breathtaking blue ocean. We enjoyed fabulous sunrises and sunsets on our balcony, sharing a glass of the local excellent wines. We spent a year planning our 30th wedding anniversary trip to Italy and our vacation at Villa Monica was easily our most memorable. Pascal and Monica, our hosts were AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING. Villa Monica is literally a few minutes from Sorrento and Pascal's unbelievable shuttle service is like nothing I've ever seen. He graciously and willingly drives you in to Sorrento and in return picks you up, throughout the entire day and evening! First thing Pascal said to us is park your car here and leave it until your stay is done, WOW that was fantastic! Monica sets up a delightful breakfast located in the cozy and peaceful lounge, we love that there is also a terrace which you can choose to have your breakfast out on or simply relax. One of the most valuable assets was Pascal's uncompromising decisive information, whether it was providing information on a restaurant for lunch, must see places or a romantic dinner location (where they actually send a driver to pick you up and bring you back at no charge). Pascal's guidance was priceless and dearly missed when we travelled in other parts of Italy, so much so that we would text him jokingly from Tuscany asking for a restaurant recommendation and surprisingly he would once again offer us valuable information... OUTSTANDING! Parking is available on the gated property. We enjoyed every FABULOUS day at Villa Monica, Pascal and Monica felt like family very quickly. As a world traveller and expert reviewer I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend Villa Monica. We can't wait to go back!

Because I am an avid fan, I wanted to show Villa Monica some love here. Finding it may be a bit tricky but with the use of google maps it was pretty easy to find. On top of that Pascal reached out to us a few days before and gave us directions on how to get there. Word of caution- the road is narrow and people drive crazy so be careful! I would also advise you to take the free shuttle they provide which has designated times and will take you from the villa to the city center. From there you can choose to take the ferry to Capri, and buses to the rest of the Amalfi Coast. Id driving, Ravello is about 1.5 hrs away and Positano 1hr. The view from our room was amazing (you get a view of the ocean) and the daily breakfast included (juices, coffee drinks, cold cuts, baked goods from his wife's bakery) were great. Only request I do have is maybe change the mattress as the one we stayed in felt tired and thin. We would definitely go back and stay there. Thank

If you are in need of a bed and breakfast that has access to a parking garage only a few meters away then this is the spot for you. Breakfast is literally served in the bedroom to complete this bed and breakfast exciting and pleasurable stay. The staff is extremely accommodating and although check in may only be from 3:00 in the afternoon until eight in the evening they will extend their hours if you give them a call ahead of time and let them know when you will be there. A limited number of suites are available on the side of this Hill so if you're looking for quality and a great view than this is a spot you do not want to pass up. With modern showers and plenty of outlets to recharge your batteries and a patio that looks out on to paradise you will have many a memorable moments both in the bedroom as well as out looking over the Ionian sea. You will be impressed by the simplicity of the Room its furniture the whitewashed walls and ceiling because they're all simply a blank canvas backdrop to what is awaiting you out the window and on your balcony. A private look staring out into the deep turquoise waters as you watch the Sun set in the evening time. If you care to go down closer to the water or to the city center proper then you are mere footsteps away from what seems like a 1000 steps down to the ocean but it's more convenient than other facilities in this area which require a bit more legwork to get to and from the fun things to do in town.

I also began to contract flu-like symptoms and was asked by my doctor to self quarantine a few weeks before my trip. I contacted Villa Yiara multiple weeks ahead of my reservation requesting a cancellation. I did not want to cancel this trip, and I had no hard feelings. I was open to rebooking. I informed them that not only would I be putting myself at risk, but also the staff and other guests. However, despite me explaining the entire situation, they either ignored my emails, requests, or responded with curt and rude statements. I sent multiple paragraphs about my situation, being as cordial as possible. They simply replied with single word: "rifiutato" which I believe translates to "refused" in Italian. That's it. I can't imagine what it's like to actually stay here that they can't even be bothered to write a full sentence. Probably the worst customer service I've experienced. They make motels feel like the Four Seasons. It is clear they are completely profits driven, only trying to milk tourists with their completely rigid policies. They hide behind inconvenient hours, no responses, and a language barrier as a sad excuse for their lack of hospitality. They also don't bat an eye at the thought of spreading a life threatening infection to their other guests. I'm sure the hotel is beautiful, but the people running it are certainly not.
