Stopped in after a very long NYE day of helping a couple friends move to the area…read more First thing I noticed is just how huge this place is. Upon entry there is a large dining area to the left which looks like it could be used as an event space. To the right is the main dining and bar area that also has a stage. The entire room looks awesome with the lodge them. Plenty of wood everywhere, all the tables, chairs, and stools being made of log. I sat at the bar and was immediately greeted by a huge smile. Both bartenders and the bar back were great durning my visit, treating me as though I was a regular and not ignoring me like you could often expect from a small town bar. I didn't get any food but every single thing I saw came out of the kitchen looked FANTASTIC. I absolutely cannot wait to go back to eat.

It's no secret that if folks are going to support local businesses or any business, really, there needs to be some patience. I have eaten at Red Lodge Grille a few times now, and I have had nothing but a good experience. Even when there was a questionable experience that had nothing to do with my food over present time service, management quite humbly and properly fixed the issue. When the place is busy, it will certainly take some time as is the case with most places. Lunch time is hit or miss with busyness, but usually pretty chill. Depending on what's on the event schedule for the weekends, it can get pretty busy, but isn't that all a part of going out and being social. Ok. So for the food. It's been great! This most recent visit my bride and I were intrigued by the Cajun Pickle Soup. It was delicious! Sounds crazy, I know, but is was worth the try. I got the Jalapeño Popper Burger and is was great. My bride had a wrap of some sort and she loved it. Other times I've eaten here I've had the pizza which is pretty decent. There are pretty decent beer options along with cocktails. Seating is spacious and relatively comfortably with a good selection of booths, tables, and high-tops. The parking lot is a pretty decent size. All in all, a pretty good place.

The restaurant looks very fresh and new with modern decor. Hands down the best walleye I have had. The breading was light and very flavorful. It had a delicious light sauce that it was sitting in that made it literally melt in your mouth. The mashed potatoes are already seasoned to perfection so no extra seasonings needed. My husband sand his sandwich with as delicious but agreed my fish was 12/10!

It is quite small inside and is definitely not suitable for large groups. I also felt the seating prioritized style over comfort. This is your typical millennial trendy burger joint that serves water with no ice in a small glass, has higher prices for the portions you are getting, and seems to just have one or two people working. Service was a little slow as it picked up around dinner time. For food, I got the dry rub wings and mac n cheese. My friend got a burger and chips and queso. The food is pretty good. I liked the wings, they had quite a kick to them, and the fries and queso were good. I was not impressed with the mac n cheese. Since Rockford is a small town, I am sure this place fills a void with the limited options they have but I also don't need to return.

It's little things like that that sets Lily's Wings, Burgers, and Things apart. They stand heads and shoulders above the competition. This small, local, independent eatery is located in a small strip mall adjacent to a gas station and Subway along Northway Drive not far from the YMCA, the Whitney Senior Center and soccer fields, and all of the medical offices located in the vicinity. Lily's serves large bone-in wings, boneless wings, drumsticks, country-style breaded chicken tenders, angus or bison burgers, fish sandwiches, commercial fries, handcut fresh french fries, onion rings, jalapeno poppers, cheese curds, and more. If you don't care for fries, they have homemade cole slaw. What's nice is that there's such a variety. Along with the wings, you can choose from various homemade sauces that range from fruity to spicy, depending upon what you like. I tried the teriyaki sauce with my boneless wing combo and really liked it. It has a kick at the end, but wasn't mouth-on-fire hot. The hand cut, fresh french fries are excellent - among the best I've had in the area. They were perfectly cooked served with homemade ranch dressing. I was given a generous portion of fries to go with my combo, which featured 11 boneless wings. You can sample the sauces before you decide on which one you want to go with your wings. The restaurant is kept clean, and the server/cashier was very helpful to this newbie customer. I've also had a hamburger here - the black and blue. It was done to order (medium well). The bun was soft and delicious, the hamburger was juicy and flavorful, and the toppings (red onion, lettuce and tomato) were fresh. My only complaint, and it's a small one, was that the previous customer had left some sauce residue on the table. There wasn't a lot, and I'm sure it's easy to do at a place like this - where the sauce is the boss - but they may want to check the tables more frequently to make sure they're wiped after each customer. On the downside, it's often the case that they are understaffed. Sometimes, this means that customers up front aren't getting attention because the person is in the back tending to cooking. There really should be more staff on duty or they're going to lose business. On the plus side, each meal is made fresh to order, so that sometimes means waiting a bit for your food. There are a couple of televisions here so you can watch the news or a game. Also, the Lily's food truck ensures that you can enjoy their food when you're out and about. The food truck is frequently seen in downtown St. Cloud, especially in warmer months. You can also order online, and they'll have the order ready for pickup when you get there. It's all these touches that make Lily's a restaurant worth visiting and revisiting. I still can't get over the wet wipes. Only a true wing place would have these, instead of dry napkins. It's touches like that that make Lily's a special place.

The food is decent but it doesn't mean much when it cuts into the time you earn for lunch. The owners wife is very kind but he is not. Makes the clientele feel like we are in the wrong for waiting. Or being dissatisfied with his service. When you know what time lunch is served every week you think you would be able to prep better especially after over a year of doing so. Save your time and Money and cater elsewhere.
