I'm not entirely sure what type of pre-cooking they did on that kale, but it totally worked. Kale on pizza and you wouldn't question it. I was a tad disappointed that it was a white pizza without sauce (hard to tell from the menu since sauce wasn't listed on any of them), and I could have gone for more choices. That being said, it was one of the better pizzas I've had in Australia, and if you are looking for somewhere to eat post-MONA, this is close. That being said, it seemed to be thriving instead on a vigorous takeout business from the surrounding community rather than tourists like myself. Local indeed.

The pizzas come in a range of different sizes, small to medium to large to family. The family pizza is daunting. Small is perfect for one person. I normally get a medium so I can have breakfast pizza the next day (for reasons stated above). I've never eaten in at Paesano, because (as other reviews have mentioned) it's a bit cramped for dining in. Also, I don't live too far away so it serves me well to call up to order my takeaway, then take a meander up the hill (checking out the awesome Hobart views en route) to collect my pizza. The only problem is then not eating (all of) the pizza before arriving home again. If only Paesano's delivered...

It was nothing to write home about. It took a long time to arrive. but not as long as the pizza So much so that when a couple of guests left, they jokingly offered us their take home boxes. A modern revamp of the premises has made the place brighter and warmer. Eating outside still available but the difference is now the quality of the food on offer. Fresh pastries and small individual pizzas at approx $5-7 are fantastic. Light well risen dough with great toppings on are superb. No more slices with dried out toppings, these are a delight. As a pizza lover these are the bomb. Not only that the coffee is sensational. A must visit.
