After I finally made it to the drive-thru window, I politely asked if they could just hand me my order there instead of making me go to the passenger-side pickup window. It would have taken just a few seconds to hand me the bags through the window I was already at, and it would have kept me from having to get out in the rain. The employee refused and said it was "store policy." Since I couldn't safely get to the other pickup window, I asked to cancel my order. The restaurant refused and told me I had to contact customer support. Customer support also said they couldn't cancel it and told me to contact my bank instead. So in the end, I had no food, was charged for my order, and was left to deal with getting my money back myself. I understand businesses have policies, but a little common sense and customer service go a long way. Given the weather and the situation, making a simple exception would have taken almost no effort. Unfortunately, this was a very frustrating experience, and I won't be returning.
