My lunch partner ordered chicken sandwich with a side of curly fries. MY steak was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing in my salad! It was refreshing and filling. The curly fries are amazing! I will mention the Bathroom was a bit scary, holes in the wall, ceiling tiles open (this made me check for cameras as an instinct there was nothing) the emergency light was broken and hanging, one of the sink nobs came right off in my hand. The restaurant is a little warn and tired but the smiles and friendliness of the staff make up for that.

We stood at the front and waited for a table to clear off. Another waitress yelled at us to sit wherever we'd like and we told her the tables were dirty and we were waiting and she gave us an eye roll. My husband cleared off a table for us and we were finally able to sit down. After grabbing our own menus we waited for the waitress and she finally took our order. Over an hour went by and we had no food despite the waitresses yelled telling us it would be out shortly. Tables that came in after us started getting food. My husband got up and asked how much longer and the waitresses yelled snapped at him. We ended up walking out and never eating.

I'm always suspicious when a server doesn't write down our order, but usually it's unfounded. Unfortunately, this time my concern was justified. Hubs ordered a Chicken Philly sandwich but was served a Steak Philly. The food-runner seemed indifferent when he brought us our food, and it was a solid 10 minutes before our server came by again to check on us. All she offered was an apology. And later, hubs had to wave down our server for to-go boxes because she never came back to ask if we needed anything. And yes, we were charged for the Philly sandwich. Aside from not getting exactly what we ordered, the food was fine. We might even return.

The iced tea was good. The waitress kept our glasses full. The bad: the food was dried out. Most of the entrees were dried out. There was a steady stream of family members who would go to the back and make something fresh for themselves. They would sit down and eat. What they had looked really good. What I had--not so good. While there one of the workers was using Duck Tape to run behind the buffet and the wall. Apparently they use that to keep bugs from crawling up the backside and eating the food. We did not get sick. It was better than waiting for the food truck and not having a place to sit.

Meanwhile, my food sat half-finished on the counter. When I finally got my bowl, it had three lonely pieces of corn. The cashier yelled for Esmeralda to get more, but Esmeralda wanted everyone to know she "wasn't even there an hour ago." In the end, I got no extra corn--just a soggy, water-damaged bag and stale food. If you're looking for dinner and a live-action soap opera, maybe this is your spot.
