However, the rest of the staff is up for debate. I am a regular here at Jersey Mike's and I come at least once a week. I ordered the same order every time and there's no discrepancy when I do it with Jaz, but with everyone else, (Hispanic lead guy idk his name it might be Cody) there's always an issue. They can never make the simple accommodations that I ask for. And now just recently I'm being told that I cannot purchase an additional bread roll... when literally two days ago I was able to, now all of a sudden, I'm being told that corporate is not allowing people to purchase bread, which is quite disappointing being that I always spend money here and that corporate does not want to make an extra couple of dollars by me making an extra purchase. It's funny how I cannot buy bread so I have to go to the grocery store across the street in the next block to purchase it but when I asked to sub out ham for pepperoni, then suddenly I have to be charged for that, but I can't be charged for bread. They just want to make it inconvenient for you, but that's OK. I will not be coming to Jersey Mike's anymore. Thanks guys for ruining my go to meal.

While visiting friends in Baytown and doing some Christmas Day shopping, we spotted this location and thought, why not give it a try? I thought of their oaded potatoes, but ended up going with the half sandwich, half soup combo instead. I chose the chipotle avocado chicken sandwich and the chicken pot pie soup. Service was surprisingly fast despite it being around lunchtime, there was only one other table near us. Once we placed our order, the food arrived in under five minutes. The sandwich tasted good, but it was a bit light on protein. I wish they had added a couple more pieces of chicken. The chicken pot pie soup, on the other hand, was tasty and very thick--almost gravy-like in consistency. They also offer free ice cream, which is a nice perk, though it was a little icy for my liking. Still, it's a fun touch. Overall, the experience was solid with quick service and friendly staff. They did ask if I had a Jason's Deli Rewards account and if I wanted to sign up, but it's not a place I visit often enough to justify it.

The loaded potato soup was also really good, and the cookie was a great addition to the meal. The reason for the 4 stars is that my sandwich was missing the lettuce and tomato that I ordered. I didn't realize it until I got home, so it wasn't worth driving back, but it was definitely disappointing. I also noticed the portions weren't very consistent. I placed a separate to-go order for someone I was with, and although they also added lettuce and tomato and received their sandwich correctly, their grape salad portion was noticeably larger than mine. Not sure if they started rushing but the difference was noticeable. The staff was attentive in helping to receive our online orders quickly. Overall, the food tasted great, but paying a little more attention to order accuracy and portion consistency would make the experience even better.

Getting there was a little tricky because the directions took us to the general area, but we had to drive around the parking lot to figure out where the restaurant was. It's in a standalone building and shares a parking lot with several other businesses. This is an order-at-the-counter, then-find-a-seat type of place. Since it was our first visit, we asked what they would recommend. Unfortunately, the response was simply, "Pick something, it's all good." That didn't exactly make choosing any easier, so we went with a couple of items that had "Cuban" in the name. I also tried the frappé, which unfortunately tasted more like ice and milk than coffee or flavor. In hindsight, I probably should have ordered it over ice. It was also the last thing I finished. As for the sandwiches, I'm not sure they were quite my cup of tea. They were on the dry side and didn't have a lot of flavor beyond the pickles. Maybe that's more traditional to the Cuban style, so I can understand that it may appeal to others, but it just wasn't what I was expecting. Overall, I'd give it 3 stars. The food and service simply didn't give me the "wow" factor I was expecting after reading so many glowing reviews. I also think the customer service could be a little warmer. If customers are ordering at the counter and being prompted for a tip, a friendly greeting, a smile, or even a little guidance for first-timers would go a long way. It may just not be my personal taste, but I can see why others enjoy it. Definitely worth trying for yourself if Cuban food is your thing. Go for the food not the service.

It's my favorite thing on the menu. The Fiesta chicken sandwich is my number two. They have some of the best sugar cookies I've ever had. The thing is, they are always out! I've been several times, and they never have them. I've even been early, and they don't have any. I'm not sure if they're lazy and just don't bake them or if they're discontinued, but it's a real disappointment. This is one reason why I'm giving this shop 4 stars instead of 5. The other reason is they sell cinnamon rolls. I think it's even in their name. The Cinnamon rolls are expensive and aren't fresh. I guess they bake them early and leave them out all day, or they're using the previous days batch. I would skip them and go across the street to Shipleys for something similar. The sandwiches are a little pricey at around $10 for a regular. The large supposedly had twice the calories as the regular, so you would think that it would be about twice the amount of food, but unfortunately it's not. I would estimate that it's about 50 percent the amount, and it sits at $15. I wouldn't recommend getting the large to get a better deal unless you're hungry! This could be just this location sandwich makers, but it's been consistent since I've been going. Even with these issues, I'm giving them 4 stars because ultimately the sandwiches are delicious, and this is what most people are going for.

It stated to come inside to pick up the order only? I arrived and was greeted with this passive aggressive good morning that was repeated 3 times?? I replied good morning the first time after her greeting. There was also this what I would describe as this sticky adhesive that almost removed my shoes as I walked to pick up my mobile order. Now on to the food. I thought the chicken was excellent with a great spicy aftertaste that was subtle. The biscuit was moist and the Bo's tots IMHO are next level! The coffee is not sweetened or creamed. You have to add that yourself. All condiments were provided however they gave me the wrong sugar.
