My favourite dish being the spinach and potato Sag Aloo with either onion or garlic fried rice. In fact any item on their menu, either traditional or 'chefs specialist' dish can be made as a vegetarian version. Plus their garlic and coriander naan bread is fit for a King. Indian Cottage have some great offers when you spend over a certain amount, normally over £18 or £20 - check out their menu. This is magic if you're ordering takeaway for a group of friends or family. I ordered food for 5 people last night and we acquired a free bottle of (very tasty) white wine and complimentary Papadoms with dips, salad and chutney. Would strongly recommend this takeaway as the food is so fresh and delicious. I've eaten out of here numerous times over the years and have never been disappointed. Plus they have a delivery service as well - after all dining in is the new dining out!

This is a Chinese takeaway that the Chinese would disassociate themselves from. It's a zero no star…read morevenue. It serves up pretty awful muck; it's surprise to me that this place can be allowed to stay open. Sorta place that you clean your shoes leaving. I've had far better fresh good food when in the third world and served there with pride and smiles. It's an even bigger surprise to me that a place like this can still exist. I've had very bad food before and this place is right up there with the worst. As if being truly grim isn't enough, it also charges about £6.50 for a main meal before 30 pence is added for greasy fried rice. This place also hit a first for me; a Chinese curry sauce without any actual taste. Remember Flora the margarine - well that was a chemical based science project by white coated chemists to produce a tasteless spread full of stuff you wouldn't naturally eat that looked like butter. I tried the beef curry here, and as well as no curry taste, the beef was truly awful. The 'meat' was chewy fibrous and unpleasant. No that's not right it was really horrible. Next I tried a crispy chicken in chilli, once again it was horrible too with not just an unpleasant taste but an even more unpleasant after taste. The so called sauce was a water sugar solution coloured with that wonderful chemical sunset yellow thickened with cornstarch. So finally I tried one of the chips. Yeuch. The brown paper bag holding this limp rubbish was really grease soaked. The grease from the chip just coated the lips. Well I've done my best and if having read this you eat there then the best of luck. Personally I'd bulldoze the place. Next best thing well apparently there's still the public health department.
