I told the beer tender to set me up with a flight of five, while SWPFTD ordered a pint of the Angel Peak Amber. Purple Flat Top hazy IPA is a really good IPA with great hop flavor but very manageable bitterness. Peewee Falls hoppy Pilsner didn't work for me. It had a little bit of an aroma and flavor that didn't appeal. YMMV. Timber Mountain tripel was good for me. I was tempted to go with a pint of this but decided on another. Iron Mountain stout had a nice roasty chocolatey flavor to it. Very drinkable! Bangs Mountain dark Kolsch was a good beer as well. I also tried the amber which SWPFTD ordered. This was a decent little amber. SWPFTD approved. Our daughter-in-law had ordered the wassail and it was pretty cool to see they had one on. I decided to go ahead and revisit the hazy IPA. They don't have food at QBC but they had a food truck when we arrived. Lola's Good Eats was REALLY good! QBC is a great spot. Great beer and all! We were greeted with so much kindness and a hearty welcome by the owners, their staff, and the resident doggos! Friday night offered a festive happy hour with plenty of people sharing good vibes. After our tastings, we came away with multiple bottles of wine and a jar of fresh garlic herbs. I recommend the Aurore and Ancient Secrets Foch. It was a privilege to have tasty treats and dip that Victory made herself and the stories told by Loyalty will be cherished. The easy elevation walk down to the gorgeous Columbia River was less than 300 steps. We took our beach chairs and visited that scene that was so peaceful. My favorite dishes are chilled gazpacho (in the summer), their yummy quiche, and their great Asian soup). If you're not free to lunch there or need provisions for a picnic, they have to-go containers and prepackaged slices of quiche, soup, sandwiches, etc. in the cooler at the back of the store. The Co-op produces bakery goods daily, and I especially like their olive bread. I also visit the Co-op to purchase many difficult to find items, such as specialty cheeses (e.g., fresh mozzarella, Jarlsberg Swiss, aged Irish cheddar, etc.) and imported olives. Seating is limited. There are three tables in the front of the store near the self-serve food service area, and another at the back of the store. Figuring out how the self-service works can take a moment, but the folks that work there are friendly and willing to explain the process. One warning: they don't tag their pastries to show the date they are baked, so ask before purchasing to make sure what you're buying is fresh.
