I told her I was not feeling well, and that's probably from this infection I had on my leg that I wanted a doctor to look at. She just looked at me with the deer caught in the headlights. Please keep in mind I did not feel well, It hurt to stand, and she's just staring at me. I said I'd been there before I said "isn't this an urgent care", to which she replied "no, this is a private doctor's office". I am completely baffled, and she was not being facetious. She asked for ID, which I gave her, and told me I hadn't been there in over 3 years, and I had to fill out a form, which I did, and then when she asked for insurance, she had me email my Medicare card. This girl said "oh..you have Medicare?" I said yes. She paused, and said "I don''t know if we take Medicare, and I don't know if the doctor can see you!!" I know damn well they take Medicare! The lady at the front desk was very nice and polite. The nurse (Tamisha, sorry if I spell her name incorrectly) who did my treatment was excellent, very attentive and kind, she treated every area thoroughly, making sure I feel well during the procedure. I first spoke with her over the phone -- she was so kind that I was eager to go to an in-person consult than a virtual. She did not disappoint! I got more information from her during our meeting in person and I found her truly helpful. Grace was the nurse who met with me during consult and she was also informative though our meeting was brief. While they bought offered me cost-effective options, the main reason I did not pursue was my budget. Without this as a consideration, I would have definitely taken it, cause besides them, the place was clean, looks organized, and there's ample parking convenient to shops I frequent which means efficient appointments there!

So, no doc - it "ain't all in my head." Then, I get a phone call out of the blue to reschedule my abdominal ultrasound after 8 months of not hearing from them. So, why not. My insurance covers it... doesn't hurt to see what is going on. However, in light of the coronavirus school shut downs and working in a school needing to prepare for that and for my own children, I thought it was best to cancel. I mean, Who really wants to go to a doctor's office right now unless they absolutely need to and really need the help! So, I call to cancel.
